I am experiencing loss of concentration and memory. I can't recall things I study.

Natural concentration is when the mind can hold a thought for a long time, when thoughts are under our own control. Without concentration the mind goes here, there and everywhere, jumping like a monkey from branch to branch, idea to idea. When there is a natural concentration, we can control our mind and there is peace. This one-pointed concentration on a thought, holding it for as long as we like, gradually collects strength in the mind and in the self. A strong mind is a mind that is peaceful, stable, satisfied and can remain in the deeper meaning of a thought. There is no waste caused by over-thinking, or the high speed of thought: These are the two greatest diseases of the mind these days, which is why there is so much stress and mental breakdown. Stress can foil concentration and learning ability. Although concentration is different to memory, they can affect each other. Concentration precedes memory. If you are under stress your concentration will go for a toss, then naturally memory will be totally foiled. So meet with a counselor to take care of the stress and your memory will happily return. You can follow these simple rules in the meantime: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid all junk food.

Hi I suggest you do not take all this product first of all try to increase your weight by natural way then only try this product. Weight will gain if you exercise by strategic manner. I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Dear lybrate-user, get a mri done to pin point the cause and site of pain. Meanwhile go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakarma procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Sir/Madam, This is regarding my mother who was diagnosed with Autoimmune hepatitis on 26th Sep. Her treatment is going very well. On 14th Sep, before her treatment started, her SGPT and SGOT were 616 IU/L and 361 IU/L respectively. Liver biopsy confirmed Autoimmune hepatitis. Her treatment started on 3rd Oct. Doctor started her treatment with Wysolone - 30 mg (1-0-0) for the first 2 months and when her SGPT and SGOT came under 50 IU/L, he switched to Budesonide (6 mg-0-3 mg). My query is regarding the side effects of the steroid use. My mother has been diabetic for the past 5 years for which she took glimestar M1. When the Doctor started her on Wysolone, in less than a week, the side effects started to show. Her blood sugar started to fluctuate uncontrollably. It goes from as high as 500 mg/dl to as low as 55 mg/dl. Doctor put her on Insulin (NovoMix 30 Flexpen). I was advised to constantly monitor her sugar and vary the units of Insulin as per her sugar level and that's what I have been doing ever since the treatment started. This sugar fluctuation thing is very unpredictable, so unpredictable that I have to constantly stay with my mother all the time. We don't even travel anywhere because of it. I have been telling our Doctor to do something about it but he says the same thing every time, control the sugar with Insulin. Is there any other way to minimize her sugar level fluctuation? Can you advice any medicine. Thank you.

, With steroid treatment blood glucose does increase, because corticosteroids are diabetogenic. One of the possible ways is to reduce the dose of steroid to minimum possible, plus use a long acting Insulin like Basalog (Glargine) plus a short acting insulin to control post breakfast & post lunch surges of glucose Thanks.

Most people who are fat are made to feel that it is because you lack will power, you are lethargic and a weak person. But that is definitely not true. It is your your hormones which have made you fat and keeping you fat. Unless we make correct diagnosis and and create a diet and lifestyle plan to correct that hormonal abnormalities you will not be able to lose weight for long term. Most diet fails because they are low calorie and low fat. Instead of correcting metabolism, they make you feel low energy or makes you feel excessively hungry. It is good that you are doing regular exercise. It will increase your fitness but as you are experiencing, it does not reduce weight much. To achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach (see below) for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then revert for further assessment and customised approach. With customised lifestyle modification approaches, people over 100-150 kg are also losing weight for long term. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Continue brisk walks or jogging for 45 - 60 minutes every day. Hi sir/madam, I'm 21. I want to know whether I'm stable or not. I don't know why I'm like this. I don't know whether I'm normal or not. From a long time I'm suffering from extreme emotions. (I can't explain correctly so I'll day some examples how I feel) For example: when I listen to a song and it is based on friendship I recollect when I spend time with friends and I can't control my feeling. I feel like I want to relive in that moment and I feel like I want to run and search for that moment. That feeling is extreme I can't control that sometimes I feel like I want to cry, sometimes I feel like I want to run and find something. And I used to check things again and again. Example: when I try to put bottle cap. And ill check whether I did it properly or not. I know it placed properly but I can not control myself to check it again and again. I think its not rotated properly so I used to rotate and rotate sometimes the cap has broken because to rotating too tight. I'm trying to do things but I can't. Basically when I feel like I want to become like someone I used to think I'm already like them and enjoying with them and I can completely feel that. For example: I like cricket when someone score a hundred I feel like I did that I use to think what I'll do at that time. And completely thinking about it entire the day. And I can't concentrate on things I'm doing. When I saw a aeroplane I feel like I want to be in that aeroplane and somebody in that plane are enjoying I also want to enjoy like them and I can't control myself I want to go and do something to stay there. I'm day dreamer what I do I'm not doing with focus a situation strikes in my mind and use to think of it continuously. And when I try to start a think I fell like I can't do that so I stop doing it (at beginning or in between) When I saw a negative situation I feel that it happened to my and I know its not good I want to divert my mind but I can't do that. I will try to come out from that situation but I can't. I'm afraid to do a things. If I want to study a topic I think like this I didn't listen to that topic in classes. Can I read it and if I listen to class I think I can read well and if a bought video class of that topic when I try to listen I feel I think its not the correct time to study and according to survey we can concentrate for 15 min only this class is for 1 hour can I listen to it. I think I can't listen to it. I feel like this. But once I'm in that I try to do things better. I didn't said about my feelings to anyone till now. Even my patents also don't know it. I'm facing some situations from my childhood I don't know that makes me a person like this. I feel so sad sometimes I want to cry but I didn't do that. I use to keep that feeling inside me. I'm not living life that I like. From pasy 2 days anger increasing in me. I want to break something in that anger but I think it cost to much so I won't break. When I want to discuss something with my parents they say something but I don't like that. I can't do it against to them. I feel like I'm dying in that problem. And I'm thinking now that I can't spend time with my family because they won't understand me so I'll be alone I like my mother a lot (my father will not do any work my mom take care of me andsisterfrom our childhood) when I try to say something I like and I want to do it she says we can't to that because of financial problem and even though when I show interest to that my mom says you are selfish you don't understand others. But the truth is I always understand others but others don't. I want to do things I like but I don't do that because I know my parents can't afford it and kill my though I'm understanding them but they says I'm not understanding them. My father don't do any work and make us trouble. I feel I'll be like him. Please help me I don't want to live like this and bcoz of text restrictions I can't say totally. Thank you.

Hi lybrate-user, Seems there are some personality issues apart from that you may have obsessive compulsive disorder which is quite evident from what you described however it will be confirmed once all the symptoms and case details are taken. Practice Mindful Breathing The primary goal of mindful breathing is simply a calm, nonjudging awareness, allowing thoughts and feelings to come and go without getting caught up in them. Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and your spine reasonably straight. Bring your attention to your breathing. Imagine that you have a balloon in your tummy. Every time you breathe in, the balloon inflates. Each time you breathe out, the balloon deflates. Notice the sensations in your abdomen as the balloon inflates and deflates. Your abdomen rising with the in-breath, and falling with the out-breath. Thoughts will come into your mind, and that’s okay, because that’s just what the human mind does. Simply notice those thoughts, then bring your attention back to your breathing. Likewise, you can notice sounds, physical feelings, and emotions, and again, just bring your attention back to your breathing. You don’t have to follow those thoughts or feelings, don’t judge yourself for having them, or analyse them in any way. It’s okay for the thoughts to be there. Just notice those thoughts, and let them drift on by, bringing your attention back to your breathing. Whenever you notice that your attention has drifted off and is becoming caught up in thoughts or feelings, simply note that the attention has drifted, and then gently bring the attention back to your breathing. It's okay and natural for thoughts to enter into your awareness, and for your attention to follow them. No matter how many times this happens, just keep bringing your attention back to your breathing. All the best.

For fair skin : • Applying a mixture of cucumber and papaya with one teaspoon of each and with three teaspoon of oatmeal apply it for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off with water twice a day. • Apply one teaspoon Besan with one teaspoon of curd and a pinch of haldi ( turmeric) mix it with water then apply for 15 minutes then rinse off it with water Once a week. . • Apply one teaspoon orange juice or take a piece of orange open it then apply that area for 5 minutes then rinse off it once a week. • Eat More fruits daily. • Mash half banana mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and half teaspoon of sandalwood powder mix it well and make smooth paste apply it for 10 minutes then rinse off with water. • Save yourself from sunlight by covering your face with cloth or by using sunscreen lotion .

Within how much time a non diabetic person injected with heavy dosage of insulin should be treated before it becomes fatal. From internet I saw a person with weight 79 kgs injected 1500 units of lantus was treated and was back to normal. But within what time the treatment started for him wasn't mentioned for not becoming it fatal. So can someone please clarify me.

Urgent treatment with intravenous glucose and glucagon injections can control severe hypoglycemia. In case of lantus (glargine) basal insulin action lasts for 24 hrs and starts after 2 -4 hrs. So we can prevent severe hypoglycemia if we start glucose infusion within 2 hrs and maintained for 24 hrs. Different insulin have diff actions.

Have frequent bath. Some people do sweat a lot. By natures own choice. Drug therapy is not ideal as there may be disturbing side effects.

Hi… if you can follow few basic things then you will get better results in short period of time, * drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals, * don’t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meals, l * avoid oily, fermented and stale foods, *drink lukewarm water regularly as possible, * sleep upto 10.30 pm, * do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning, * avoid cold things, intermittent eating, heavy foods, contact with dust and pollen grains, day time sleeping, @ TAKE 20 ml of ginger juice with 1 tsf of jiggery before meals, @ take 2 tablets of SWAS-KASA-CHINTAMANI RASA, early in the morning on empty stomach along with 1 tsf of honey and ginger juice, @ take ½ tsf of lavanbhaskar churna after meals, Do all these things for 30 days, gives you good result.
