Yes it might be due to head lice. Or it may be due to some other acute underlying infections in other part of head & neck. First you get rid of these lice by applying the anti-lice medicines in the nearby medical store. After that if symptoms still persists then call me back or chat withme.

In your age preoccupation about girl boobs and porn is very much common. But if these thoughts come so frequently to impair your day to day functioning in a significant manner, I would suggest you to consult a psychiatrist for remedy. It would be dramatic and relieving. All the best.

Hello sir, from your description it is very clear that you shall need some medicines for sure under supervision of psychiatrist. In addition, specialized counselling from a psychiatrist or psychologist known as relapse prevention counselling (rpc) will also do wonders for u. Another alternate is attending local alcoholic anonymous (aa) meetings. Good luck.

You should probably get your counseling done. You have to let go. Trust is very important. Trust destiny/god and leave it unto it. You should realize it is just a negative imagination, which brings anxiety and ill-health.

Headache may be due to many other reasons, may be upset stomach, weak eyesight, overstudy, wrong posture. Keep taking nux vomica30, 3drops twice daily. Revert back with feedback.

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. This kind of anxiety is common and can be part of social anxiety alone or a more generalized phenomenon. The reason or cause behind this is complex. It can involve one's nature/ personality or an anxiety disorder or a combination of both. If this has been there since childhood, there is likely a large component of personality. If it is something of recent onset, the component of the disorder is likely larger. The disorder part may respond to medicines whereas the personality part will need therapy/ counseling. Usually, a combination of both medicines and counseling works best. After a proper evaluation, a personalized management strategy can be planned. Take care!

Hi I am suffering anxiety panic attacks from the last 2 yrs. My weight is also increasing .i am on ashwagandha rt now.
Dear Lybrate user Panic attacks have become very common these days. During an attack try to think logically (that this is just an anxiety attack and there is nothing dangerous in this) because panic attack blocks our thinking. Also do deep breathing (belly breathing) so that you get more oxygen. Also eat healthy and sleep well. Sleep is very important and make sure that you get a good quality of sleep and that too on time. Exercise or do anything or do yoga or meditation. Find the triggers or situations or places or people which give you anxiety and panic attacks and try to avoid them or deal in a healthier way. Psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy together give best results in this. Many people have got rid of their panic attacks in Bhati Mind Care. Weight has psychological factors and weight loss is more of a mental process. Its due to the stress anxiety emotional eating faulty habits and patters poor lifestyle etc. So this can also be cured by psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy. You can contact me for more information.

I could not concentrate on my studies properly. So could you please advice me what to do n what is the cause of it.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Thanks for the query. Since when do have these concentration difficulties in studies? Starting from simple to more complex issues; we usually are able to concentrate better when whatever we are reading/doing is interesting for us & NOT MERELY DRAB WORK! Hence, you can try to make studies interesting by devising punmonics, trying to figure out practical applications of whatever you are studying with help of teachers & elders around. Secondly, try & choose subjects/courses which you are really interested in studying & just do not study for the heck of getting a degree/academic qualification. Lastly, studies have time & again proven that average concentration span of human mind is around 30 minutes. Hence, if you are able to study for 30 minutes; you are actually doing good! You can devise a 30 minutes study-10 minutes break (strictly 10 minutes!) schedule to improve your concentration. Good Luck.

I get angry easily n get frustrated n some time I feel alone as if no one wants me and no one wants me. I can not express my feelings.

Dear Lybrate user, Anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

I am male 46 years, my wife is 39 we belong to very decent family. Recently my wife met a gentleman in a party when I was not in the town. Post that they became very close friends. When I found out this relation I asked my wife why she is connected to this man her answer was just for chat. I told her to stop but it stopped for a short time but she again started when in the office, she often deletes the chat history and call details. I tried to convince her to share if she has any trouble, but she does not have any it seems. We weremarried since past 19 years over these period I have never except in few cases felt this kind of behaviour, most alarming thing is she is now a days more cautious about her phone and she checks if I am checking her phone. I have her wats up live messages which she later deleted call history whch she deleted, I want to deal with this situation if any one can help please advise.

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy
Sexologist, Pune
Mr. Lybrate-user, look at this problem objectively. Every body around us chats on whatsapp, and when people connect with each other on chat medias it is interesting experience, because chats provide with privacy as well as availability most of the time. The same environment is not shared by many married couples because at home people are busy with their own self and do not share quality time with each other. Also the thrill involved using electronic gadgets like computers mobiles is almost like a child, so people prefer doing that than dealing with real adults. The more you get suspicious and domineering the more the other person will try to hide and sneak. You should really cool your heels and give her a loose hand. Go out and just share quality time but do not touch" that" topic. Let your partner feel the freedom which she might want to cherish. May be then she will open up.

Two to three years ago the hormonal influences may have impacted a lot of things apart from distracting your attention. When the hormones play up, it lasts for a period of close to two years and during that time you could be influenced by three signs directly impacted by the chemical: you will tend to become aggressive and rebellious, you will become sexually active, and you will have acne and pimple problems. The hormonal imbalances may not only impact your memory because of the chemical but also bring some distractions that come with it. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

STRESS CONTROL There are many ways to tame your stress and keep it at bay. Here are 20 tips to tame your stress today, and keep the stress monsters at bay. 1. Perform diaphragmatic or deep breathing exercises. 2. Lie face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face. Do this for five minutes. 3. Sit in a reclining chair. Put a hand on your abdomen and a hand on your chest. As you breathe, make sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down rather than one on your chest. If the hand on your abdomen is moving you are breathing deeply and slowly. 4. Try progressive muscle relaxation or “deep muscle” relaxation. Progressively tense and relax each muscle group in your body. Learn the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. 5. Meditate. Use visualization or imagery to help you learn to be one with your thoughts. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, imagining the sights, sounds and smells of your favorite place, such as a beach or mountain retreat. 6. Exercise regularly or take up yoga. 7. Consult a psychologist about the use of biofeedback 8. Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. 9. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things. 10. Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. 11. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? 12. Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. 13. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation.
