There are many reasons for sensitivity and depending on the exact cause, it can be broadly treated by 3 methods: a) Doing a filling/ desensitization treatment b) Doing gum treatment procedures c) Doing RCT. The appropriate treatment in your case can only be suggested upon confirmation of the exact cause.

The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Consumables which are acidic in nature like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity. They can soften the tooth material which would further lead to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities.

I have bad breath even if I brush and rinse my mouth after every meal. My gums are turning white.

Gums may be turning white due to deposits on teeth or maybe due to some infection. And that would be the cause of your bad breath. So visit a dentist nearby for a check up.

Quit habits strictly. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Dentist,
Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity because they are acidic in nature. Acidic food or drinks often soften the tooth material which leads to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities (holes).

I have open a glass bottle by teeth, and I am in a lot of pain. One of my molar teeth, is giving me trouble. What is the best tablet you, advice me to take?

MDS Prosthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Chennai
For immediate pain relief take tab. Ketanov 2-3 times a day after food. From your description, sound like you may have chipped or broken a tooth. Consult with a dentist to make sure there is no problem.
