Dear, According to Ayurveda joint pain is known as Sandhigata vata. With increase in age vata dosha is predominant in human body that is why with aging disease caused by vata dosha increases in body. Joint pain is a common symptom with many possible causes. Joint Pain and Arthritis are the one of the most devastating conditions faced by individuals, particularly elderly women today. When there is pure Vata dosha involvement (a pain without swelling or discoloration) then the massage with medicated ayurvedic oil is quite useful & supplement is helpful in balancing bodily humors ?vata, which is responsible dosha for Sandhigata vata . Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. You can take 2 bowl of careals (moong/chana daal) on the place of curd or cheese. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 10-12 pieces of dry fruits or 3-4 pieces of dates (khajoor). * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. Retinitis Pigmentosa: What You Should Know About It?

Diploma in Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Hyderabad
Retinitis Pigmentosa: What You Should Know About It?

Are you losing your sight day by day? Does it make difficult to see you at night? Is this the onset of Blindness? Get to know about Retinitis Pigmentosa with these tips.

What actually is Retinitis Pigmentosa?
Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) refers to a group of diseases, which causes a slow, but progressive vision loss. It is a genetic disorder that affects the ability to respond to light. This inherited disease causes a slow loss of vision, beginning with decreased night vision and loss of peripheral (side) vision and eventually results in blindness.

Causes: Retinitis pigmentosa is often hereditary (runs in families). If you or your partner has retinitis pigmentosa, there may be up to a 50 percent chance that you will pass it on to your children. Ask an ophthalmologist about genetic counseling if you are planning to have children.

Symptoms

  1. Slow loss of vision
  2. Beginning of decreased night vision
  3. Loss of peripheral vision
  4. Difficulty in identifying colours

Diagnosis: If you have poor night vision or a loss of side vision or if there is a history of retinitis pigmentosa in your family, your ophthalmologist will conduct a comprehensive eye exam to determine if you have retinitis pigmentosa. Your ophthalmologist will dilate your eyes to look at the back of them for signs of disease.

Treatment: Currently there is no known cure for retinitis pigmentosa. However, research has shown that vitamin A palmitate may slow the progression of certain forms of RP. Your ophthalmologist can advise you about the risks and benefits of vitamin A palmitate and how much you can safely take. Taking too much vitamin A palmitate can be toxic, and evidence of vitamin A palmitate effect on RP progression is not substantial.
Another recommendation for slowing vision loss from RP is to wear sunglasses to protect your retina from harmful ultraviolet (UV) light.

Retinal prosthesis is also an important area of exploration because the prosthesis, a man-made device intended to replace a damaged body part, can be designed to take over the function of the lost photoreceptors by electrically stimulating the remaining healthy cells of the retina.

I was diagnosed telogen effluvium by a&nbsp; dermatologist on 21 september 2016. My hairloss started around 20 august 2016. I shedded for 7-10 days&nbsp; and then it stopped on its own. I was going through a rough time in my life so I realised it after a week that my hair is falling in excess amount. I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed it as TE. I was highly depressed about my hairloss at the time I went to the doctor. She gave me tugain 2% to use for 21 days. Tugain has 2% minodoxil w/v and 63% absolute alcohol v/v. The doctor did not tell me how to use it. I read the prescription which stated not to use more than one ml in single application. Since my hairloss was diffuse I wondered how to use just one ml on the entire scalp. This was my biggest mistake. I used the medicine for 7-8 days and within 7-8 days I finished two bottles each of 60 ml. I feel so dumb. I used it in huge amounts. I stopped using it after 7-8 days since it was causing dandruff flakes on my scalp. 12 days after stopping tugain I started to shed gain in huge amounts for 4-5 days. Within 4-5 days I lost about 15% of my hair density. I called the doctor who prescribed me tugain, she said that hairloss is temporary and stop using tugain and then continue again after some while. I could not say her much because it was my mistake as I did not read the prescription. <br> The base contained absolute alcohol which I read on the internet is a harmful agent. I am so scared right now. Have I killed my hairfollicles by using it excessively? It has been more than a month since I used the medicine and hairloss occurred, I am. Afraid my follicles were damaged hence my hair fell out and now they are destroyed by now.

Generally hair comes back after such incidents but there's a possibility that you might have caused more damage than visible. U should go Prp therapy asap.
