Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Diabetes mellitus if not well controlled causes erectile dysfunction within few years. However, with well controlled glucose levels also it does affect the erectile function and can cause early ejaculation. Therefore, strict blood glucose control is absolutely essential. Since there is no mention about your glucose levels and HbA1c%, it is difficult to comment. Thanks.

I am having Jaundice since last 4 months and my bilirubin levels are fluctuating. At the time of starting 1.5 level is there then after increasing to 4.8 level with in 20 days. After that my bilirubin levels are between 2.5 to 3.8. Then now it is 4.4.so what precautions I will take to reduce this Jaundice. I used ursocol tablets since last 2 months. But there is no use at all. please suggest me what I do?

1. To lose weight/belly fat make healthy food choices and add more exercise/activity. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits per day taken 30 mins before meals. 3. ‎Eat plain roti/rice with dal with a bowl of salad in each meal. 4. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/Colas / Fruit Juice from your diet. 5. Completely eliminate Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice etc 6. Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. This will keep you slim and trim.

Antitussive cough syrp might be helpful to u. Do lukewarm water gargles twice a day. Eat healthy diet and drink plenty of liquids. Hope this helps.

Gain weight healthily by eating 5-6 meals a day, even if they are slightly smaller than usual. Make sure each meal includes healthy, calorie-dense foods like nuts and full-fat dairy, as they will help you gain more weight without feeling too full. If you don’t feel like you can eat more, drink liquid calories like 100% juices or smoothies because, since they tend to be less filling than food, they allow you to consume more calories overall. Eat healthy foods that are calorie-dense. When you're trying to gain weight it's important to maximize the amount of calories you can consume with each meal and snack. Calorie-dense foods are items that are high in calories per serving.Consume these foods with each meal and snack. Calorie dense foods to incorporate into your diet include: nuts and nut butters, avocados, full-fat dairy products (cheese, yogurt and milk), butter and oil, and eggs. Also use full-fat condiments like regular mayonnaise, full-fat cream cheese or full-fat salad dressings. Not all high-fat foods are healthy or appropriate to eat more frequently or in larger quantities. Minimize these foods: fast food, deep fried foods, candy, and high-fat processed meats (bologna or hot dogs). If you're eating multiple times throughout the day, you may feel more full. This may lead to smaller meals instead of several large meals. Even when meals/snacks are small, if they are calorie dense, they can help induce weight gain. Add extra calories to meals and recipes. In addition to eating more calorie dense foods, you can also increase calories in your favorite meals and recipes. Drizzle extra olive oil or add an extra pat of butter to salads, steamed vegetables, soups and casseroles. Top lower calorie foods with high-calorie toppings. For example, top whole milk yogurt with nuts and granola or top your salad with full-fat shredded cheese and sunflower seeds. Perform strength training activities. Strength training can aid in your weight gain. As you build lean muscle mass, you may notice your weight increases. This is highly important when attempting to gain weight. Many people do not realize that exercise is crucial to weight gain, just as it is to weight loss. Strength training activities include: weight lifting, isometric exercises (push-ups or crunches) and Pilates. Strength training does burn calories, just not as many as aerobic activities. Yes, she can take hormone replacement after consulting a gynaecologist. HRT should be taken for the shortest period of time and the smallest dose possible (ideally less than 5 yrs). It helps to tide over menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats and mood swings. There is a slightly increased risk of breast cancer and blood clot (DVT) formation in women on HRT, so it should not be taken by women at high risk of these diseases.

In march I can take Ipill after sex so that my period date change nd comes in 19 march, Although my period date is 11 march, now its 21 april still my periods not come, I checked on 18 april in preganews nd it show negative result. So I want to ask that jus becoz of ipill my dates are irregular in this month tooo. please tell.

Yes due to oral contrceptive pills periods date changes. Even delays. So have patience. Drink lots of water to counteract the side effects of pills.

Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

As per your query black spots and rashes on face are result of extra sebum produced by sebaceous glands to keep skin oily and clogged pores of your skin. When the pores become clogged the sebum produced by sebaceous glands collects inside and results into black spots and rashes. I would suggest you use mild scrub and gently massage your skin this will perform the function of cleansing and exfoliation ,apply benzoyl peroxide on face to make it bacteria free and oil free, your face to soften the pores of your skin. You should avoid use of heavy makeup and sunscreen products, have some vitamin C and E supplements to make your skin texture better and apply aloe vera gel. You can also use metallic extractor. Keep your face free from dust ,wash your face with mild face-wash twice daily and cover your face while going outside .If condition still persists then contact dermatologist. Hope your concern has been resolved.
