You can discuss about your hypertension problem with the doctor who is treating you and also speak about your concerns. Read more about hypertension from the internet so that you can gain more knowledge about it. There are ways to diagnose the problems based on investigations and correlated with clinical findings. At your end, you have to invest time to exercise every day and eat healthy food which is more from natural sources (Have salt restricted diet - which means you have to avoid processed and packaged food and beverages ). With proper lifestyle changes in your daily routine and regular follow-up with the doctor (while taking the prescribed medicine on time) it will definitely help bring down the BP to normal range soon.

Shilajit is useful but it can not bring all the desired effects you cherish by itself. Proper ayurvedic regime with simple and effective herbals can cure high BP and other related health issues for ever. Pl book audio call or text in private Lybrate chat. Get rid of chemical drugs.

I do not have your comparing chart of the record of your previous BP readings. Its needed. You can make it now. So can not comment right now. Ideally at your age your BP should be 120/80 with little variations. However in usa they are considering 140/90 ok now but in India its not accepted by experts. Pl book audio call and /or connect thru Lybrate pvt chat. Get rid of bp medicine for ever.

I am taking valsartan 40 mg in morning and amlodipine 5 mg night for BP. I heard that valsartan tabs contains impurities which cause cancer. If yes can you prescribe an alternate medicine.

Some batches of Chinese origin were rejected in USA, this may not be relevant to your treatment. But the premium brand if you want to be very sure.

There r big tragedy happen all hypertensive patient. They r basic two cause of hypertension. 1 nervous, 2.Pathological (related to organic disease). Hypertension meas increased blood pressure. Heart increase pressure due to lack of blood supply to periphery organ. Example. Due to narrowing of artery in kidney (real cause), lack of blood supply in kidney, so heart increased pressure. So doctor not try to remove real cause, they given hypertensive medicine that s way gradually increase hypertensive medicine and its dose, on the contrary gradually kidney damaged.

It is good but she needs strict BP monitoring and BP should be well controlled. If you need to visit doctor monthly also please do. Because sometimes high BP silently worsens CKD.
