I am suffering from anxiety disorder since 2011. Please help me to relief from this disease.
Ayurvedic View Ayurveda, which takes a comprehensive view of an individual's physical, emotional and spiritual conditions, attributes anxiety disorder symptoms to aggravated prana vata, a subsidiary of vata dosha which is associated with worry, anxiety and depression. Prana vata weakens the nervous system and triggers mental imbalance. It also weakens the neuro-hormonal system and nerve impulses. Ayurvedic treatment of anxiety disorder would involve curbing aggravated prana vata and increasing sattva guna, which envisages a stable and peaceful mind through self-realization and self-control, and appropriate changes in diet and lifestyle. Diet & Lifestyle Advice Fresh fruits, fruit juices, vegetables (raw or cooked or boiled), vegetable juices, sprouts, nuts, dry fruits, honey, milk, ghee, fresh butter, and buttermilk are the best to increase sattva and enrich the mind. Try to cut down, or if possible stop, the use of black tea, coffee, white flour products, chocolates, white sugar products, deep fried foods, hot spices, meat, fish, and eggs. Such restrictions benefit in anxiety disorders. Breathing exercises: Mind has a very close relation with breathing. A person has short and shallow breathing when anxious or stressed and has deep breathing when relaxed and happy. Next time you become stressed, watch your breathing. Try to slow it down. Take a relaxed position and breathe deep using the abdomen muscles. Let the diaphragm expand while breathing in, and contract while breathing out. This will immediately relax you and reduce anxiety attacks. Exercise, meditation, relaxation techniques and Yoga postures are also recommended. Home Remedies Take grated fresh coconut 10g, paste of 2-3 almonds (soaked for 6 to 7 hours and peeled), powdered fennel seeds 5g, black pepper powder 2g, and powdered rock candy or raw sugar 20g. Mix all the ingredients and drink with saffron milk. To prepare saffron milk, soak 5 to 6 threads of saffron in one teaspoon of milk for 5 to 6 hours. Chew well and eat. Have 1 teaspoonful of licorice root powder with water empty stomach in the morning. This is mentioned as a medhya rasayana in Ayurveda i.e. A mind rejuvenator. Add some fresh rose petals in a cup of boiling water. Keep it aside till it is lukewarm. Add ½ teaspoonful of sugar to it and have this twice a day. This is a good drink to uplift mood. Mr. Ali try these remedies and if you found some relief do contact me on Lybrate for consultation!

lybrate-user. U might be suffering from UTI. Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a common condition that arises when there is an infection caused by bacteria. There is a burning feeling when urinating and an increased frequency of urination. According to Ayurveda, Urinary Tract Infection or Pittaj Mutrakrichhra, is caused by the aggravation of Pitta Dosha. Pitta is an Ayurvedic humor that symbolizes heat or fire. So, a diet and lifestyle that increases Pitta causes UTI. Aggravated Pitta produces heating toxins in the body. These heating toxins accumulate in the mutravahi strotas (urinary channels) and create an imbalance in the infection-fighting properties of the urinary system. It might lead to bacterial growth in the system, amounting to UTI. Diet & Lifestyle Advice Avoid intake of hot, oily, spicy, sour, salty, and bitter foods. Increase intake of liquids in the form of water, juices, coconut water, and other cooling drinks. Increase intake of pitta-pacifying herbs like green cardamom, coriander, red sandalwood, licorice root, etc. Avoid working in the sun or in a hot atmosphere such as near furnaces and boilers. Take a cold-water bath 2-3 times a day with ½ teaspoon of powdered red sandalwood added to the water. Home Remedies Put 3 tablespoons of powdered coriander seeds and 1 tablespoon of powdered rock candy (or unrefined sugar) in a vessel (preferably an earthen pot) containing 3 cups of water. Keep it overnight. Mix well and drink 1 cup of the liquid 3 times a day. This is a very good remedy for pacifying pitta in the urinary tract. Hope you recover with these tips !u may hv a personal consultation with me via Lybrate!

Your father may be having osteoarthritis left knee. Kindly mention his height and weight. Osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease, is one of the oldest and most common types of arthritis. It is characterized by a breakdown of the joint's cartilage. Cartilage is the part of the joint that cushions the ends of bones. Cartilage breakdown causes bones to rub against each other, causing pain and loss of movement. Osteoarthritis can range from very mild to very severe, and most commonly affects middle-aged and older people. It affects hands and weight-bearing joints such as knees, hips, feet and the back. Ayurvedic treatment of Osteoarthritis not only prevents further deterioration in the joints but also rejuvenates damaged cartilages. Vata-alleviating treatments through specific herbs are also suggested for lubrication and strengthening of joints. Lifestyle changes- Avoid carbonated drinks, preserved and packaged foods, and dry or cold food items. Choose foods that are easy to digest and warming. Excessive use of joints and underuse are both problematic, so get some exercise each day, but do not overdo it. Try exercises that are easy on the joints such as walking, swimming and yoga. Keep your weight at an optimum level, neither too overweight nor too underweight. Do not withhold natural urges (such as burping, urinating, releasing gas, etc.) Home Remedies Use warm sesame oil to massage stiff and painful joints in the morning. Massage improves blood circulation and reduces inflammation and stiffness. Put one teaspoon of fenugreek in a cup of water and set aside overnight. Then next morning, mix well and drink. Boil 10-12 slices of ginger in 8 cups of water for 5 minutes and let it steep for another 10-15 minutes. Drink this tea at a warm temperature throughout the day. If you find this useful, you can always consult me online via Lybrate!

Sir, I am 21 year old and my height is 5.6 feet but my weight is 96 kg . Which is overweight.
How I am reduce my weight.
Hi. Your ideal weight according to your height should be around 65_72 kg. In ayurveda, obesity is known as medarog, which is caused by the aggravation of kapha. Kapha is an ayurvedic humor which is dense, heavy, slow, sticky, wet and cold in nature. It governs all structure and lubrication in the mind and body apart from controlling weight and formation of all the seven tissues - nutritive fluids, blood, fat, muscles, bones, marrow and reproductive tissues. In a balanced state, kapha gives nourishment to these tissues through various micro channels. However, when it is aggravated, kapha leads to production of toxins in the body. These toxins are heavy and dense in nature and accumulate in weaker channels of the body, causing their blockage. In the case of an obese person, toxins accumulate in medovahi srotas (fat channels), thereby leading to an increase in the production of fat tissue (meda dhatu). When the body produces more fat tissues, it causes an increase in weight. The ayurvedic line of treatment for obesity begins with the pacification of kapha dosha. This can be done by eliminating kapha-aggravating foods from the diet. Next, the treatment also focuses on cleansing of the medovahi channels through cleansing herbs so that excess weight can be reduced. Some tips. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. Take a tablespoon of honey daily with warm water. It is an excellent home remedy for obesity take one teaspoonful of fresh honey and mix with a half of lime juice in a glass of lukewarm water. Take several times a day at regular intervals. You can fast on this drink during the day without the loss of energy. Highly effective in obesity. In ayurveda we have medicine to reduce weight like guggul. Kshayas. So if you wish to take medicine you can consult some ayurveda practitioner

Important causes of obesity are: Eating more sugar in the diet increases body weight. People who like eating sweet and sugary products experience more body weight than normal. Carbohydrates get converted into fats and get deposited in the body tissues and muscles. Sedentary lifestyle is another important reason for obesity. People who do not perform any exercise or physical activity during the day may suffer fromt is becoming more common in children as they do not go out to play. People who take prescription medicines for different diseases can also suffer from obesity. Medicines produce side effect and increases body weight by quickly converting carbohydrates into fats. I have hair fall problem. I use tressme shampoo but didn't cure. What should I do?

I have hair fall problem. I use tressme shampoo but didn't cure. What should I do?
Stress, worry, anxiety, and inadequate nutrition lead to hair loss. A certain amount of hair loss is considered normal, as old strands are replaced by new. When hair loss is excessive, care must be taken. When this starts in the early years of life, one should look into for remedies. Increased intake of fried, sour, spicy, salty, and fermented foods, as well as tea and coffee, aggravate the pitta dosha (ayurvedic humor representing fire) in the body. This pitta accumulates in the skin of the scalp, leading to hair falling out and graying prematurely. Factors like excessive anger and stress are also responsible. Excessive consumption of alcohol and meat also aggravate pitta. According to ayurveda, hairs are a byproduct of bone formation and the tissue responsible for building bones is also responsible for the growth of hair. Early hair loss is related to body type and the balance of the mind-body constitution (doshas). People who have excess pitta in their body are likely to lose their hair early in life, or have prematurely thin or gray hair. Excess pitta in the sebaceous gland, at the root of the hair, or folliculitis can lead to hair loss. Ayurvedic treatment of hair loss is aimed at pacification of pitta through a customized diet and lifestyle regime, along with medication. A combination of diet, herbs, oil massage, meditation, aromatherapy, breathing and yoga can be beneficial in addressing the problem of hair loss and premature graying of hair. Diet & lifestyle advice avoid pitta-aggravating foods like spicy, heavy, and oily foods, as well as tea and coffee. Avoid refined foods, refined sugar, junk food, and alcoholic and carbonated drinks. Increase intake of fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, and vegetable juice prepared from lettuce, carrot, capsicum, and alfalfa. Avoid using chemical products on the hair. Try herbal oils and shampoos instead. Home remedies mix powdered indian gooseberry (amla) and sesame seeds in equal amounts. Take 1 teaspoon twice a day with water.

Dear patient, although your body weight account to your height is okay. But for sure your weakness is due ue to improper digestion of food and non utililization of digested food. Acc to Ayurveda, the physical causes of aruchi (anorexia) are aggravation of vata, pitta and kapha in the stomach. Kapha is a mucus-like substance, which is cold, dense, heavy, firm, slow, thick, sticky, wet and clear in nature. Aggravation of a type of kapha, known as bodhak kapha, leads to a loss of appetite. Negative mental feelings such as sorrow, fear, excessive greed and anger can also lead to anorexia. As Ayurveda treats the root cause of the disease instead of treating the symptoms, the Ayurvedic line of treatment pacifies the bodhak kapha and relaxes the mind. This ensures that neither physical nor psychological factors affect appetite. Diet & Lifestyle Advice A single day of fasting is good for digesting ama (mucus). Have freshly prepared warm food. Meals should be taken at regular intervals, so that the previous meal gets digested. Avoiding snacking between meals. When psychological factors are involved, creating a happy and calm atmosphere helps to improve the condition. Being in the company of good friends and relatives relieves stress and improves digestive power. Yoga postures such as pawanmuktasan and bhramari pranayama is also beneficial for people with anorexia. Home Remedies Prepare a mixture of ¼ teaspoon of ginger juice, ¼ teaspoon of lime juice and a pinch of rock salt. Have this preparation in separate doses 15 minutes before meals, twice a day. Put 5 tbsp of small chopped, fresh ginger in a glass jar. Cover ginger with lemon juice, add a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of cumin seed powder. Put jar in the sun for 2 days in summer, or 3 days in winter. Eat half tsp before meals. Mix the following in powdered form: 10g dried ginger root, 3g black pepper, 2g long pepper, 5g celery seeds, 10g cumin seeds and 10g rock salt. Store it in an airtight vessel. Take 1 teaspoon with the first bite of food during meals twice a day daily. I am sure these remedies will help you .
