The term Salmonellosis is used for defining a bacterial infection that is caused because of Salmonella bacteria. People who are affected with this infection would have symptoms quite similar to that of diarrhoea including vomiting loose motions, pain in the stomach, dehydration, loss of fluids and also fever. There would also be some cramps before these symptoms start.

Treatment for Salmonellosis is done using oral rehydration supplements including salt and sugar water. It is important to take ample home care and prevent dehydration by giving the patient a lot of fluids. Certain kinds of antibiotics are also given to prevent the condition from getting worse.
