Nosebleed is a common condition in which there is bleeding from nose. Nosebleeds are common and rarely indicate a serious condition. Nose bleeds can be posterior or anterior. Common causes of Nosebleed are foreign object stuck in nose, dry weather, injury to nose, upper respiratory infection and large doses of aspirin. Symptom of Nosebleed is bleeding from nose, sometimes accompanied by pain.
HOW IS NOSE BLEED DIAGNOSED?
General physicians may conduct a thorough examination of the nose and check for injury to other parts of face and head. A complete blood count test, nasal endoscopy, CT-scan of nose and X-ray of face and nose may be conducted to find the cause of nosebleeds
HOW IS NOSE BLEED TREATED?
Nosebleeds can be treated at home with a cold compress or by keeping the nostril pressed that is bleeding. In some cases, cauterization may be recommended by a doctor.
