Diagnosis is generally done by the General Physician and the method used is to scrape the skin in the infected area and have it examined under a microscope. This is done to confirm that the condition is indeed one of the types of Fungus Infections only.
HOW IS FUNGAL INFECTIONS TREATED?
Treatment involves taking proper care to prevent the spread of the infection along with use of some topical ointments and anti-fungal lotions to reduce the inflammation of the skin and manage the symptoms better. Oral medications may be prescribed in case of a severe infection.
