Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to fix a deviated nasal septum, which occurs when the cartilage that separates the nostrils is out of position and this can lead to breathing problems, nosebleed and pain. If a person is experiencing difficulty breathing through the nose, Septoplasty is performed.
HOW IS SEPTOPLASTY DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis for this problem is done by an ENT who would check for your breathing issues and do an X-ray and scan for these deformities.
HOW IS SEPTOPLASTY TREATED?
Based on the extent of the deformities a surgical plan would be devised to correct the deviated septum. The process is not very extensive and most people get respite post surgery.
