Septoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct problems with the nasal septum. Septoplasty is usually done under general anesthesia. Problems like septum deviation, bent septum or crooked septum can be corrected by Septoplasty. People with septum problems usually have breathing problems. In some cases Septoplasty is also done under local anesthesia.

Diagnosis for this problem is done by an ENT who would check for your breathing issues and do an X-ray and scan for these deformities.
