Endometrial Ablation is a medical procedure which is conducted to ablate or destroy the endometrium or the uterine lining. The endometrium, after destruction, returns to normal by scarring.
HOW IS ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION DIAGNOSED?
It can be performed by using one of the following:• Transcervical resection of the endometrium or TCRE• Hydrothermal Ablation System• Novasure System• Thermochromic III Balloon• Hysteroscopy
HOW IS ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION TREATED?
After it is completed, the patient may take anywhere between one day to two weeks to recover. After the procedure, the endometrium or the inner membrane of the uterus heals by scarring, reducing or removing the possibility of future uterine bleeding.
