You can chew Nicorette gum which is nicotine replacement. There are medicines available. Which can be prescribed if asked personally Cigarette smoking is a leading preventable cause of mortality. It kills more than 60 lakh people worldwide every year. More than 50% of regular smokers would invariably die from tobacco-related illnesses which includes heart attack, cancer or asthmatic lung diseases. Best age to stop smoking is before 40 31st May is “World No Tobacco Day” Quitting smoking before the age of 40 is associated with larger decline in premature death than stopping it at a later date. Best age therefore to stop smoking is before 40. However, stopping smoking even after the age of 50 is still associated with lower risk of death as compared to those who continue to smoke. Even in smokers aged 80 years or more, quitting smoking appears to reduce some mortality.

Hair fall is due to many reasons now a day it is common due to stress and busy life check your haemoglobin level if less then take hamatinic any multinational company take proper diet (dal vegetables sprouts fruits) and do exercise minimum 15 min if possibles do yoga for 10 min increase water intake minimum 3 to 4 litres per day also take homoeo medicines homoeo medicines are known for to stop hair fall and it actually happens phosphrus 30 (30 no glouble) 2 tds x 2 weeks and reply also comb your hair gently and 2/3 time per day wash with homoeopathic shampoo (sbl or any company) twice a week preaper oil by mixing arnica montana q 30 ml + any regular hair oil and apply before wash

Age- 21 years Weight- 58 kgs Height- 174 cms I feel stressful, Often I face headache and anxiety. I feel fatigue and lazy, I want to do activities but my body does not support me to do exercises and extra works as I feel weakness. And one thing that I am not gaining weight, I am slim and straight, I want some muscular or bulk body. But don't know how to proceed for it. I have eaten a lot of junk and spicy food and my body metabolism is decreased and stamina is exhausted as I used to masturbate and do not perform and physical body work. My face is having small acne problem and their scars are not going, suggest any ointment or cream to remove blackspot and the acne scars. Please help me if possible.

Dear Lybrate user, Anxiety disorders are a category of mental disorders characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear, where anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, a specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic disorder among others. While each has its own characteristics and symptoms, they all include symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety medicines alone cannot cure anxiety disorders mainly because medicines do not alter behavior. Behavior change and Continuous practice of the changed behavior cure anxiety. I suggest anxiety education, progressive counseling and progressive psychotherapy. I assure you complete cure. I need to know more about your anxiety so that I will be able to diagnose it properly and provide you tips to overcome and manage your anxiety. Take care.

Hi. I am staying away from family since 4 years. I am having lot of mental issues. I am going into depression. I finds my life to be hopeless. My marriage is going to get fixed by family. My family dint accept my boyfriend. Now I am struggling to forget him. I hv no other option than leaving him since my parents hv blackmailed me that they will be no more if I won't forget him. So all these things are making my life difficult. I can't sleep at nights. Mornings I gets up and I finds I am losing everything. Kind of exhausted feeling. I am struggling with life. I am not finding happiness in life. I have no hopes no dreams. I don't know what's going to happen if I continues to be like this. I can't live like this. It's painful. Good ​Morning, I understand the situation that you are in. Life is so much more worth living and you know that for a fact since you have lived your life so far, you just need to enjoy what is going on and be in the present; neither in the past nor in the future. I agree that depression and anxiety that you are experiencing are due to circumstantial reasons and I believe they will alleviate when the situation changes. Positive thinking will get you where you need to be in life. If your marriage is fixed, it might be helpful to speak with your fiancee about your feelings so that he understands. If you feel understood, it may be a good relationship. Do not discount others and idealize only one person. Marriage in INDIA is about families and not about only yourself or only your and the other. So it might be useful to count them in and take heart in the fact that the person who they have chosen for you may be the right person also. It is easier said than done. However, moving on to your symptoms, I believe you need to be on medications for a good 3-4 months and we can help you with the same. In depression people experience sad feelings, lack of interest or energy, poor motivation or concentration, suicidal thoughts when severe, lack of sleep or appetite, can't enjoy, world seems dull or feel world is coming to end, don't see a point in living. Your doctor had given right medication. It takes few weeks sometimes to see the effect of it, so keep taking every day. Please keep physically active, eat well, share your feelings with close ones. Involve in activities you enjoy doing. Follow up with your doctor regularly as depression can last 6 months to a year.

Dear imtiyaz, welcome to lybrate. Memory and mind power depends mainly on three aspects. Understanding, storage and recollection. To understand what you are studying, you must be able to be attentive or concentrate. Concentration is possible when you are interested in that subject. Creative way of learning can help you concentrate and understand easily. When you are able to understand and concentrate, it is stored within your brain. If you read more and more it will be store in long term memory. Third part is retrieval. Whenever you want to retrive what you learned and stored, your brain gets the request, searches the database and retrieves the information for you. The retrieval may prove to be difficult if you are anxious, stressed, worried or tired physically or mentally. Retrieval is more easy when you are relaxed and healthy. Brain needs nutrients to keep itself sharp. Fruits, vegetables and dry fruits provide much needed nutrients for your brain. Include at least one fruit in your daily diet. Physical exercises, entertainment, hobbies, relaxation, memory games like sudoku etc help keep your memory sharp and active. Take care.

Every action has a reaction: your reaction is due to something that is happening, or has happened and is not resolved or is not resolving itself. Can you think of what it is? An idle mind is a devil?s workshop: you may be too unoccupied for your youth and may feel that you need to do something more in life and feel stuck in your role as a housewife; and you may feel time is running out on you, which is not really true. May be you are compromising too much for a skilled person or for a person with so much potential. Then these negative thoughts will plague you. Or is your marriage in jeopardy or inadequate in some form? Or are you dissatisfied with your status in life? Or is there something bothering you from guilt? You see, there are many possibilities, and if you are not in touch with it meet with a counselor and through that interaction may truths will unfold and show up. Then you will be in a position to take appropriate action and dispel these negative thoughts and have a sound sleep when you hit the deck!

With true depression, you have a low mood and other symptoms each day for at least two weeks The common symptoms are (few might be present in a person with depression) Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort Changes in appetite — often reduced appetite and weight loss, but increased cravings for food and weight gain in some people Anxiety, agitation or restlessness Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or blaming yourself for things that aren't your responsibility Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Prefer keeping yourself is a dangerous thing. Last year this incident happened. But up to that you think about that it is not good thing as per my advise. What is happend that is over. Why we think. If we think he will come back then we think. Nothing come back. Everybody must respect the natural law. Nobody should not excepted from the natural law. So respect the gods order. Doctor did all the test for my heart he told me it was completely ok and he prescribed medicines of betalocker, i am using this from 4 months now I was ok, when I stop this tablets it is coming again. Your doctor obviously has diagnosed anxiety disorder, but has not referred you to the right specialist, i. E. A psychiatrist, rather decided to treat on his own with beta blockers, which act only one the symptoms of anxiety. You need to consult a psychiatrist to get your core anxiety symptoms treated mostly by ssri grop of medications. All the best.

Dear lybrate-user. This is a wrong concept and you just feel it. You will listen only to what you want to listen in spite of there being so many voices or noises. That is called selective listening. If you don't want to listen anything, even there are many noises and voices, your mind will wander away. So observe and understand. Take care.

Hello, If you have soft corner for poor people and you genuinely want to help them, so get associated with any of the NGOs which run such programmes for poor population. This way, you can do both - your studies as well as helping poor. I appreciate your thoughts! Go ahead with the positive thinking as you are doing social work and it's not shameful work at all! But a balance between your personal and professional life is very important, so that either of them shouldn't interfere each other! Also, don't make it an obsession, because earning money is also an important source for helping others. Respect your parents thinking as well as they have spent entire life for you, so that you could stand on your feet. Respect them as no one else will come to help you in time of need. You will be left alone! Make them understand by proving yourself efficient for both - your profession of engineering and helping poor. This way your and your parents wishes will be fulfilled! It appears that you are angry and frustrated. You are not happy with your family. What has caused all this? at your age, it is normal to have arguments with your parents. Remember that your parents belong to a different generation. It is difficult for them to understand and accept the ideas of new generation. But it is also important for them to see what you are thinking and feeling. Many parents try to control their children and are very strict with them, which is very frustrating for the children. My suggestion would be try to talk to your family when all are in good mood. Talk to them about your fears, dreams, expectations. At the same time try to understand their worries. Open and frank communication helps. But see that you do not blame each other and focus on having better relations and understanding.

Hello, masturbation is a healthy way to release one's sexual tension. Engage in masturbation only & when you are sexually aroused. However, masturbation has no evidence of causing back pains. Maybe your posture or change in routine might be affecting your lower back.
