I lost much weight after my prolonged periods, I want to gain it in one weeks time, what should I do?
thanks.
If wt loss is due to prolong periods, its because of excessive loss of blood. So it is difficult to gain in a week. For gain wt you should treat for both i. E. For normal periods and rx for increasing blood cells. For general you should try ashokarisht and lohasava.(ayurvedic med).

It's not your panjabi diet that is wrong. It is your lifestyle that is to be blamed. Eating traditional foods never causes harm if you are active and your lifestyle is ideal. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

Plant Based Diets - Are They Better Than Meat Based?

Certificate In Food / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Dehradun
Plant Based Diets - Are They Better Than Meat Based?

Man had been a hunter-gatherer for thousands of year prior to discovering that settling down and engaging in agriculture did have its merits, especially by the way of an easier lifestyle! Many people today are going in for contemporary diets which are plant based. But what exactly does that mean? And are there benefits which make the effort worth one’s while?

A plant based diet has a pretty large variety of benefits. While it was a rather predominant belief in the years gone by that animal protein was essential for proper nutrition of a person, this is something that has long been debunked. As a matter of fact, plant based diets have been found to be worthy of providing the same level of protein to a person, but just without all the side effects that eating meat has. Who wanted those side effects, anyway? It is not like they are worth bearing with just for the taste of the meat!

The environment is saved a lot of strain as rearing meat for human consumption is very hard on it. It is quite a startling fact that meat oriented emissions are higher than what is emitted by planes, trains and trucks and the like. Taking into due account the fact that tens of thousands of people are up in the air at any given moment and millions are crisscrossing countries by road, can you imagine what sort of emissions those are, then? This thought was enough to cause the Beatle Paul McCartney to start a campaign to make Mondays in the UK meat free!

Meat is generally known to be more expensive than vegetarian or plant-based options. This is especially true when it comes to cities as the meat has to be kept refrigerated while it is transported until it is bought. So, for a person who is looking to save a reasonable amount of money, by going to a plant based diet, he or she would be doing this almost without the intention to do so!

Losing weight is not an easy task, to say the least. However, with a plant based diet, this task is made quite a bit easier! There are various types of fat and it must be said that not all of them are bad for the body. As a general rule, it is rare for meat to contain as high a level of good fats in relation to bad fats, as vegetarian food does. What this means is that the entire effort to lose weight just got a lot easier; all that is required is a rational choice when it comes to a person’s diet! If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist and ask a free question.

Is it good to take egg mixed in boiled milk?
What is its benefit or disadvantage.
Raw egg contains bacteria like salmonella which can make you ill. Egg and milk both are good for health. You should choose -- raw egg causes infection or boiled egg for more safety. Adding raw egg in boiling milk is fine, if you are ok with its texture and test.

Q in equal amount, mix with equal amount of coconut oil, and apply this on your scalp, thrice a day. Wash your hair with b&t anti- dandruff shampoo. Please note the following for your condition: • Avoid big meals late in the evening. You need three to four hours to digest a big meal. • Spicy or sugary food, even at suppertime, is usually a bad idea. Spices can irritate your stomach, and when it tosses and turns, so will you. Having a lot of sugary food—especially chocolate, which contains caffeine—can make you feel jumpy. • Try a soothing aromatic bath before bedtime. Add 5 drops lavender oil and 3 drops ylang-ylang oil to warm bathwater and enjoy a nice soak.

Hi, thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation you need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

You are taking the right and safe medicine for BP, I hope it is stabalised , This medicine is protective for the heart also and sometimes low doses are given to people with normal BP but having stressful jobs. Take less salt and avoid foods like chutneys, pickles ,papads etc where salt is added as a preservative. Take more potassium present in fruits like oranges ,bananas etc. Go for simple walks as best exercise and meditation. Eat seasonal fresh fruits & vegetables and do take a spoon of honey along with lemon juice in a glass of warm water ,every morning on empty stomach.
