How to loss my weight. My weight is 98 kg and height is 165 .my age is 21 .please help me.
Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Drink plenty of water. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Thank you.

Basics of weight loss ( weight loss tips )

Eat

E- eat right food

A - eat right amount of food

T- eat right food in right amount on right time

What is right food:

  • Always choose easy preparations: those food items cooked easily are healthier, contain more nutrition and easy to digest.
  • Avoid deep fried extra oily food: generally deep fried over cooked foods causes acidity and a gastric problem which lead to indigestion and, later on, weight gain due to the improper digestive system.
  • Add colors to your diet: use color full vegetables, and eat different color fruits, it will provide phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are natural compounds found in plant foods such as vegetables, fruit, whole grain products and legumes. These plant compounds have beneficial effects working with other essential nutrients to promote good health.

Divide your plate into four sections with dairy on the side to represent the five food groups:

  1. Fruits
  2. Vegetables
  3. Grains
  4. Protein
  5. Dairy

What is right amount of food? (it means your portion size):

One easy way to size up portions if you don't have any measurements is to use your hand as a guide:

  • A clenched fist is about a cup - and a cup is the amount experts recommend for a portion of pasta, rice, cereal, vegetables, and fruit.
  • A meat portion should be about as big as your palm.
  • Limit the amount of added fats (like butter, mayo, or salad dressing) to the size of the top of your thumb.

Right time:

Fix meal timings, and try to stick to those timings. Maintain a proper gap between meals to get it digest well.

What type of food you prefer when a diabetic patient experience a lot of body pains?
Hello, Thanks for the query. As far as I know, there is no such relationship with type of food and body pains. Food does affect blood glucose levels. Thanks.

Donor Sperm

Couples use donor sperm (DI) when the husband/partner has no sperm or a very poor semen analysis (azoospermia, oligospermia, poor motility), or when there is a genetic problem which could be inherited from the male. Single women who want a biological child also use DI.

One must be psychologically ready to proceed with DI. Most doctors recommend that any patients considering DI see a counselor who is skilled at clarifying feelings about infertility, and about trying DI. It is essential that both partners feel comfortable with the decision and that all fears and questions be openly discussed. For some, it may mean dealing with various moral and ethical questions; for others, exploring questions about donor selection and whether to be open about the decision to do DI and whether to tell a child conceived by DI how they were conceived.

Success rates vary from 60-80% but achieving pregnancy may take many cycles.

Donor Selection

  • Information about a donor’s physical characteristics, race, ethnic background, educational background, career history, and general health would be available. Many banks provide written profiles about the donors they have available. Some sperm banks are open to providing non-identifiable information about the donor (even photographs) as well as providing a service for adult offspring to obtain information about the donor.

  • All donors should have tests for certain infections such as syphilis, hepatitis B, cytomegalovirus (CMV), gonorrhea, chlamydia, streptococcal species and trichomonas. All these organisms can be transmitted via semen to woman. Some can have grave effects on the fetus; others principally affect the woman. The donor’s semen should also be checked for the presence of white blood cells which can indicate an infection within the reproductive tract.

  • Donors are excluded from a donor program if he or his sexual partner have experienced any of the following: a blood transfusion within one year, a history of homosexual activity, multiple sexual partners, a history of IV drug use, or a history of genital herpes.

  • Before starting DI, a careful medical and reproductive history should be taken on the woman and a rubella titer, blood type, and antibody test for CMV should be done. If the woman tests negative for CMV, only a CMV-negative donor should be used. Some practices want to document normal ovulation patterns and many doctors order a hysterosalpingogram to document that the woman’s fallopian tubes are open.

  • The DI procedure involves inseminating the woman as close to the time of ovulation as possible

  • The highest success rates for DI are reported in women who have no infertility problems, are under 35 years old and whose partner/husbands have azoospermia (no sperm). Lower success rates are reported where there is a female factor (ovulation problem, endometriosis, DES, etc.) Or the woman is over 35.

Do facial exercises to tone and slim the cheek area. Pucker your lips as if giving a kiss, and then push your lips out and pull them back in to work the muscles along the cheeks. Make an exaggerated smile with your lips together. Hold for a count of two and then relax your face.

Endermology: 5 Ways to Lose Weight!

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

Endermology: 5 Ways to Lose Weight!

Fat and cellulite though different forms of the fat cells must be eliminated from the body when in excess so that you can lead a better and healthier life. While removal of deep tissue fat which resides underneath skin is possible with many therapies, the cellulite which resides loosely adhered to the skin just under it, is stubborn and tough to remove. That is why effective treatment methods like Endermology have been brought into practice since the 1980s. This is the first cellulite and fat removal treatment, which has been approved by the FDA too.

This is a non invasive treatment, and is a painless and permanent solution against cellulite wherein no scarring or surgery is done. To prepare the body for the treatment, one must follow the below 5 methods, which will let the effect of the treatment to be more visible and faster.

Get cellulite massages
The cellulite removal endermologic massage is a special treatment, which is done with the help of two rollers and a vacuum suction machine. The rollers roll or knead the skin and create a suction force in the loose skin superficially. This makes the fat cells in the body under the skin, release the cellulite. The warmth of the massage initiates lymphatic flow, and good blood circulation in the body, thus increasing fat metabolism.

Maintain regularity of massages
The treatment has a schedule, and the best results are obtained only when you maintain regularity. You cannot skip the sessions. 14-28 sessions are required initially within 1-2 weeks. This has to be done as suggested by the health and massage expert. From the 6th session onwards, results will start to get visible gradually.

Stay hydrated for the massage
It's a mandate that you keep hydration levels in the body optimum to receive full benefits from the Endermology massage treatment. Ideally, 5 cups of water intake is must before you start a session.

HIFU Treatment- the next level
High-Intensity  Focalized Ultrasound is the next level of treatment, wherein the ultrasound waves are targeted on the skin areas at thighs, abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, etc., which contain cellulite. This ruptures the deep-laid  fat cells, and then the fat is induced to get drained through the lymphatic system.

Maintain healthy lifestyle and diet
A healthy lifestyle with no liquor and smoking, no late nights or drug abuse, and no stress, etc. is needed. Diet has to be a low calorie, balanced diet, and all junk and oily food filled with unsaturated fats must be avoided. Light exercises or moderate to heavy as per the capacity of the body must be encouraged to see the effects of endermology to become permanent. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.

PCOD & fatty liver management requires weight loss. Apart from medications, diet, lifestyle, daily exercise & weight loss are very helpful in relieving symptoms & sometimes curing it. Here are some tips for weight loss. 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only. In between balanced main meals-(comprising of a whole grain, whole legume/egg/fish/chicken, low fat dairy, whole fruits, vegetables, salad); include healthy snacks in between- coconut water (w/o cream), whole fruit, roasted makhana, roasted chana (unsalted), nuts & oilseeds, soup, stew, buttermilk, salted lassi, green tea, boiled egg. 2. Drink 2- 3 litres water daily 3. Avoid junk, fried, processed, preserved, sugary foods & drinks, alcohol. 4. Replace simple carbs (sugar, jaggery, honey, maida, sago, cornflour, arrowroot flour, potato, biscuit, cake, white rice, white bread) with complex carbs (whole fruits, vegetables, salads, whole grains-atta, dalia, suji, oats, millets, barley, brown rice, atta bread, quinoa, whole legumes-sprouts, soyabean, pseudo cereals-rajgira, makhana, & nuts, oilseeds). 5. Avoid skipping meals 6. Have early & light dinner. 7. Sleep & wake up early. Have a sound sleep. Avoid use of mobile, laptop etc at bedtime 8. Brisk walk daily for 1 hr. In morning. 9. Walk/ cycle instead of taking transport, take stairs instead of lift/ escalator. 10. Cut down on total oil consumption. Have stewed & boiled foods mostly till fatty liver problem is solved. 11. Take 15 mins light walk post main meals. 12. Avoid sitting for an hr at a stretch continuously 13. Avoid sleeping in afternoon. Light nap of 20 mins is ok.
