YOu have keep a calm and happy mind as milk production is related your mental state. You see if the nipple is retracted and always feed her. After the brest feed is given you can give top feeds with a spoon or filler but no bottle feeding. YOu can also express breast milk and feed it with spoon after suckling at breast. Try Lactare capsule for milk production

My nephew is very naughty and he don't obey us. We will not want beat him but he is so naughty boy how we control him.
Punishment can be done even without beating like not talking to him for sometime. Not providing what he likes too much etc. Similarly you must reward him if he obeys your advice.

Dear , please don't try to exaggerate the condition. Simple repetition and low frequency is of no problem. If you present these symptoms to a psychologist near you, he may suspect obsessive compulsive disorder. Before that I would like to talk to you. Please post a private question to me. Take care.

Connecting to Children

Connecting to Children

To all parents and even grandparents, as well as teachers, here are some unbelievably simple parenting ideas that work.

1. Children need a minimum of eight touches during a day to feel connected to a parent.

If they are going through a particularly challenging time, it as a minimum of 12 a day. This doesn't have to be a big deal; it could be the straightening of a collar, a pat on the shoulder or a simple hug.

2. Each day, children need one meaningful eye-to-eye conversation with a parent.

It is especially important for babies to have that eye contact, but children of all ages need us to slow down and look them in the eyes.

3. There are nine minutes during the day that have the greatest impact on a child:

The first three minutes right after they wake up
The three minutes after they come home from school
The last three minutes of the day before they go to bed
We need to make those moments special and help our children feel loved.
These are simple, right? nothing really earth-shattering here.

Try it.
1 whenever you feel like scolding or beating your child, take a deep breath, or count 1-10 and then act.
2 let's ask them to study their favorite subject on their own.
3 send them to one exam without studying at all.
4 remember what our kids are learning in 5th std is taught to 7th std abroad.
5 let's keep our kids out of the unwanted competition.
6 80% of what kids are learning, won't be useful to them in future.
7 our kids can really afford to do whatever they want to do in future.
8 higher degrees don't guaranty success and happiness.
9 not all the highly educated people do well professionally.
And not all who do well professionally are the happiest ones.
10 kids are always in a party mood. Don't spoil their childhood. Support and let them be what they want to be.

Pass this on to as many teachers and parents as you can.
And change the way we look at our kids and their future.

Normal diet of small child is. From birth to 5-6 months-- breast feed only 3-4 hrly interval six times a day. Their after start reducing the frequency of breast feed and start with soup like feeds two times at six months, increase to four times at one year. Breast at one year is given only two times for 10-20 minutes only. Next step in development is self feeding. By 9 months child start picking up things lying on floor and put it in mouth. That he should be taught self feeding. This period runs upto 18 months. Your child has to pass all these stages. First find out what type s of food he likes of course at home. Give these food six times to be eaten by himself. It is high time child learn to eat by themselves. Otherwise they become timid children.

Migraine - How Ayurveda Can Help You Treat it!

Are you looking for an ideal treatment and management for various kinds of headaches? Do you suffer from migraine headaches? You should opt for Ayurvedic treatment, which is considered to be very effective in dealing with headaches of various types.

Migraine headaches

Migraine is a form of headache that is known as Sooryavata according to Ayurvedic principles. Such headaches worsen during sunrise, peak during the afternoon and tend to reduce during evening. Migraine occurs because of an excessive stimulation of blood vessels in the brain. A person affected with migraine is likely to experience nausea and vomiting, along with a throbbing headache on one side of the head. Migraine headaches can be caused due to hormonal changes, allergy from certain food items or excess stress. Apart from regular exercises and a proper diet, the most effective Ayurvedic remedies for dealing with migraine headaches are as follows:

  • Shirolepa or the applications of herbal pastes on the head is effective for pacifying pitta dosha. Camphor, jatasmansi, and sandalwood are also effective.
  • Shiro Dhara, an Ayurvedic therapy, where a thin stream of liquid is poured over your scalp is helpful.
  • Taila dhara is effective for migraine headaches as well, in which oils such as chandanadi taila and ksheerabala taila are used for treatment.

Cluster headaches
Cluster headaches refer to headaches on one side of the head. It is known as Suryavartham according to Ayurveda. These consist of a series of short, but painful headaches, stretched over weeks or months together. Such headaches occur because of disruptions in the nervous system. Usually, the pain starts early in the morning in the eyes. There are several Ayurvedic remedies for the management of cluster headaches. Some of them are as follows:

  • Use an ointment or paste made of dried ginger and Kermpferia.
  • Use a paste of Indian aloe vera, asafoetida and coriander for pain relief.
  • Grind cumin seeds and mix it with lemon juice. Keep the mixture on the painful area of your head for quick relief.
  • Have coconut water.

Recurrent headaches
Any form of headache, which tends to reoccur after some time instead of ending is referred to as recurrent headache. There are several Ayurvedic remedies for the effective management of recurrent headaches. They as are as follows:

  • Boil one teaspoon of haritaki powder in water and drink it.
  • Massage your neck gently using warm calamus root oil.
  • Lie down with your nostrils parallel to the ceiling, and apply sesame oil in your nostrils. This is known as nasal therapy.

There are several other Ayurvedic remedies that are effective in dealing with all forms of headaches. You should consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for getting the most ideal remedy for your problem.

Infants 'unable to use toy building blocks' due to iPod addiction
The Association of Teachers and Lecturers warn that rising numbers of children are unable to perform simple tasks such as using building blocks because of overexposure to iPod and smart phones
Rising numbers of infants lack the motor skills needed to play with building blocks because of an “addiction” to tablet computers and smartphones, according to teachers.
Many children aged just three or four can “swipe a screen” but have little or no dexterity in their fingers after spending hours glued to iPads, it was claimed.
Members of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers also warned how some older children were unable to complete traditional pen and paper exams because their memory had been eroded by overexposure to screen-based technology.
They called on parents to crackdown on tablet computer use and even turn off wi-fi at night to address the problem.

What is cpld food? Then what shall I give to my lactose intolerant 10 month old baby.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
What is cpld food? Then what shall I give to my lactose intolerant 10 month old baby.
If you have already started your baby on solid foods, you can cut down on dairy other than your breastmilk. But curd is fine as it does not contain any lactase. So you can prepare a nice lassi for your little one or give him some raita. Those who are lactose intolerant can often handle small amounts of dairy if they eat it with other foods. If you are formula feeding, your doctor may advise you to switch to a lactose-free or soya based formula for two weeks or so as your baby gets over his lactose intolerence. If your child is older and tests have confirmed he is lactose intolerant, then you may have to make some dietary changes like: Feeding reduced portions of dairy-based foods in combination with non-dairy foods. Not giving a large glass of milk and offering a small portion along with a meal to aid digestion. Choosing foods with less lactose such as curd, paneer and hard cheeses, as they are better tolerated. Substituting milk with soyamilk, almond milk, rice milk or fortified fruit juices. Substituting dairy products with leafy greens, tofu, broccoli, nuts, soya beans, dried fruit. Before you make any changes to your child's diet, always consult a dietitian or a doctor. They can help you plan better. In order to maintain a normal healthy metabolism, everything we eat or drink should be close to our body’s normal temperature. However, particularly in hot weather or as a matter of habit, almost everyone likes to drink cold beverages or eat cold foods (like ice cream) without noticing the potential problems that will be encountered or connecting it to the temperature of the food or drink you take into your body.

5 months baby should not be put on cereal but it should be started once he had completed 6 months of age. Baby requires exclusive breast feeding in first 6 months of life. Even water is not required irrespective of weather condition 2 anytime freshly prepared home made non chewable mashed food should be introduced like dal dalia khichri sujji ka halwa mashed banana 3 fruits juices soup can be supplemented to home made family food. 4 say big no to commercial baby food except in special circumstances like travel working mother.
