Hi I can understand your problem. Back pain is related to poor posture rather than height # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same.do share investigation reports if you have any.

I am 63 year old Male I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in 2007(8 yrs) In May 2012, I developed ampullary carcinoma and operated. I under went 6 cycles of chemotherapy up to Nov.2013. My RA disappeared since than. Now I am feeling fatigue, and stiffness in joints in morning. My AG ratio is .1.18(range.2.5-7) Serum Alkaline Phosphatase.122(range.32-92) Serum uric acid.8.2(range.2.5-7) serum chloride.107.7(range.98-107) PCV/Haematocrit.39.5(range.40-50) RA factor .Negative C-Reactive Protein.Positive ASO.Negative C.A 19.9 .16.03.(range <37) HB.12.1 Monocytes.01(range.2-10) Eosinophils.15(range.1-6) On my legs I feel irritating .ITCH I have low appetite,gas, full Stomach feeling,weakness , fatigue , irregular bowls etc. Kindly let me know if my RA is again starting.?

The best sources of calcium are: Dairy products such as milk, cheese, yogurt (low-fat ones are best – skimmed and semi-skimmed milk contains more calcium than full-fat milk). Calcium-enriched varieties of milks made from soya, rice or oats. Fish that are eaten with the bones (such as sardines). Arthritis Research UK recommends a daily intake of calcium of 1,000 milligrams (mg), with added vitamin D if you’re over 60. Iron Iron Iron is important in preventing anaemia and many people with arthritis are anaemic. Anti-inflammatory drugs to help treat arthritis help the pain and stiffness of arthritis but may cause bleeding and stomach ulcers in some people, leading to anaemia. The other main cause of anaemia in arthritis is anaemia of chronic disease, which often occurs with rheumatoid arthritis and similar conditions and doesn’t improve with iron supplements. Good sources of iron are: Red meat Oily fish e.g. sardines, salmon, mackerel etc Pulses e.g. lentils and haricot beans Dark green vegetables e.g. spinach, kale and watercress. Your body absorbs iron better if you take it with vitamin C, so have fruit juice or a good portion of fruit or vegetables with your meal. It’s best not to drink tea with your meal as this reduces the amount of iron that your body can absorb.

I have very pain in my knee I tried from many doctor but it still exists what I have to do please give me best answer.
At the age of 24 you are suffering from knee pain which means it could be due to any internal injury like cartilage etc for which you are not aware about or pain may be due to deficiency of vit d or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Make use of hot packs and ice packs alternately. Apply with the ration of 3: 2 which means 3 min ice then 2 min heat. Ice has very good results in relieving pain than heat so combination of both gives you complete relax. As ice reduces pain and heat stimulates blood flow around the affected area. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. Relax for 5 minutes. 3. Do some knee (quads) isometrics atleast 10-15 times with the hold of 5 -10 seconds. Also you can do some knee strengthening in the mean time like - hams sets, knee bending and straitening, heel raising, bridging, squatting, lunge etc. Lot of exercises are there. The above treatment will give pain relief and discomfort. If possible please contact any physio who will study your daily routine, symptoms, degree of pain etc and accordingly will give you the best treatment plan. Along with it give you our pain relieving modalities like ift, us vacuum therapy for 10-12 days with mobilisation exercises. Good luck and get well soon.

You have not mentioned the age and weight of your mom which is very important for knee pain. I think she must have arthritis along with osteoporosis. You need to chek her bone density and consult a good orthopaedician in your town.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart..

Sir, I have muscles pain in mt legs and 99 fever from approx 2 weeks and when done some tests typhoid comes normal but esr is 56 mm per hour. So what does it mean does this rise in esr and fever is due to pain or something else there are no symptoms except these. Age 19 years male. I am feeling like muscles are torn from inside. Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day..

Dear lybrate user, if there is pain for more than 2 months, it is labelled as chronic. I'm sure you must have taken medication & physio either after advise from doctor or otherwise also & still you are having pain. Do no worry, this is generally seen in india due to improper guidance to patients. My advise would be to get yourself examined by either of 2 specialist (orthopedician trained in spine or interventional pain specialist). They should be able to put the diagnosis correctly & advise you accordingly for conservative treatment or some intervention depending on source of problem. Hope this will guide.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.
