Sir/mam I am worried please solve my doubght. I tested my fasting sugar level after exercise it was 93. please tell me it was okay or I am getting prediabetes risk thanks.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Delhi
Dear lybrate-user, Ideal range of normal blood glucose is between 80-140. Your fasting should be between 70-100 and PP should be taken after 2 hours of meal and should be less than 140. All the parameters slightly above the normal range are consider to be pre diabetic and if they are more than it, it considered to be diabetic. Thank You.

Hi I am 35 years old male had been diagnosed with diabetes a year back and have been taking sitagliptin jenuvia 100 mg in morning before breakfast and glycomet forte 0.5 mg in night before dinner but still every morning my sugar levels are around 125-145 with all dietary precautions and walk of nearly 10 kms a day please advise some method to reduce levels especially in fasting without medicines or maybe some Ayurvedic way as I know in long run these medicines would have very bad effects on my health.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
the idea that anti diabetic medications cause long term bad side effects is itself wrong. There millions of patients on oral anti diabetic drugs, properly controlling blood sugar levels and living a good life. To my knowledge there are no drugs in other branches of medicine which have any action on insulin secretion or reducing sugar levels. As regards reducing the fasting levels you may have to give a re look at your diet and total calories consumed in a day. Or you may have to add another drug to control sugar level.

I am 25 years old. I am having chest pain at left side this problem from last 6 months. Also feeling heart beat (dhak- dhak) when I hard work out I before take high protein Dr. Did ecg echo twice, blood test n chest x Ray all are normal. Still have pain even now. Could you please assist me?

MBBS
General Physician,
What you are describing are called palpitations. You should undergo a complete evaluation to find the cause of chest pain. Evaluate food pipe for any acid reflux, ribs/sternum (chest skeleton) for any inflammation, hormonal assay (for pheochromocytoma), thyroid tests. However there may be no underlying disease and your symptoms may be due to anxiety during exercise. Hope this helps.

You should know that Masturbation has positive effects like, Relief through ejaculation, Climax for fun and pleasure, Induces sleep, Relaxes you, Eases tension. It is important to be gentle on your genitals to avoid sores There are few negative effects of masturbation, these are: Masturbation lowers sperm count, reduces your chance of conceiving. Frequent masturbation will take longer to satisfy you and for you to ejaculate. Space it out. The self-abuse is the prime cause of various sexual disorders and it is one of the earliest abuses when a boy engages himself in this evil act. Masturbation has serious consequences since it drains the young men of his vital forces and in many case it causes impotency, if it is over-indulged.
