Fierst and foremost thing is diet control. Avoid sweets, sugar, jagary, honey and seet fruits like banana, mangoe, grapes, cheeku etc. Take your meals at regular intervals. Regular exercise, walking, yoga are also helpful and practice them. If not controlled on these your doctor will prescribe medicines also under guidance of your blood sugar levels.

lybrate-user, Hypothyroidism if not in conntrol may cause a depressive tenancy as well as anxiety. On treatment TSH should be between 3 to 4 mU/L, to be free from all symptoms. Please check the levels. If high then dosage of thyroxine may have to be increased. Thanks.

Dear , bipolar affective disorder, or manic-depressive illness (mdi), is a common, severe, and persistent mental illness. This condition is a serious lifelong struggle and challenge. The treatment of bipolar affective disorder is directly related to the phase of the episode (ie, depression or mania) and the severity of that phase, and it may involve a combination of psychotherapy and medication. I request you to know more about your disorder, understand it and please do not panic. I know several people who manages their bpad effectively. Management is as good as cure. I repeat, do not panic. You will be able to manage your problem with psychotherapy and medicines. Take care.

I cannot find 150 in Mumbai market. My chemist suggests I take 2x75 instead if 1x150 once daily. Is it safe for me to accept this suggestion? A quick and clear answer will be much appreciated. fasting <140 and PP <180 is the target ...you need not add other medicines just follow these tips to control diabetes 1-Losing Extra Weight:-helps lowering blood pressure and cholesterol too. For woman: waist of 80 cm or more & for man: waist of 90 cm or more are at risk 2- Constant and regular food timings :-improves metabolic activity and helps in reducing weight. 3- Split your meals and eating in moderate amount:-, improves your metabolic rate as the food u take is not concentrated at one time. 4- No long Gaps and skipping of meals:-. Never miss out breakfast. 5- No overeating:-Never eat in a bulk on one time .Eat your food slowly, chew well. 6- Proper Exercise and work outs:- Brisk walking for 30 min. atleast five times a week is the best and easiest way of exercising. You can also try Cycling, swimming, dancing. Timings for exercise should be fixed and regular. Avoid heavy exercise. Do not eat right away after a workout . 7-constant and regular timings for medication 8-Avoid fried foods and meat: Limit fats and sweets. Rather choose a variety of foods including whole grains, fresh vegetables, salads, fruits, low fat dairy products. 9- Take high-fibre and complex carbohydrates:-like oats as they are easily broken down to basic sugars. Add whole grain foods in your diet. Avoid carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, pizza , candies, and snacks .Instead include high-fiber carbohydrates like wheat bran, flaxseed and methi seeds to your wheat flour. This will increase fibre in your diet.

I understand your sentiments when you say that you want to control your diabetes without medicines. I want to tell you that it is possible. But only for those patients who are at a very early stage of diabetes which means that they have very low sugar derangement which can be handled by exercise and diet alone. Only way to know that is by trying dietary compliance and good exercise regime. After these efforts if your sugar gets in control then you can be sure that you can avoid medicines. But remember two things. Checking of sugars should be regular. One time control does not mean consistent control. Second, if your sugars are out of control then don't keep avoiding medicines because your body is facing the bad effects of diabetes already.

Cold and breathing problem is not related to thyroid. That is mostly due to the weather conditions. Your hairfall will stop if your thyroid levels become normal with medications. But for hair regrowth you need to put more efforts. Use herbal oils for scalp massage, three times a week. Use a mild shampoo for hair wash. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to promote hair regrowth. Amla/gooseberry is a excellent hair tone. You can have amla candies or amla juice everyday.
