I am 48 years old, I am feeling pain at my left knee to feet for a long period. What should I do.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. Go for a regular walk. Also control your weight properly to bring down the pain.

I have a knee pain since 1 month what to do I think so my cartilage has been damaged what to do now.

As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. I have back bone problem its affects my sexual life kindly give suggestions to improve the same ?

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

When leg pain occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply apply cold compresses. This will help reduce the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and inflammation. 1. Wrap a few ice cubes (or a bag of frozen peas) in a thin towel. 2. Apply this pack on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, while keeping the leg (s) elevated. 3. Do this a few times a day. Note: do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it may cause frostbite.

My dads age is 41, he has suffering from joint swelling, and took many pain killers and ayurvedic medicine but it not working. What should he do.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days. 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and mannual therapy will help in painfree movement. I'm a 22 year old girl, I tried strangulating myself when I was depressed as an attempt to kill myself two months ago. I used a charger cord. Tried a couple of times, gave up when I was about to pass out. Then I had neck pain for weeks, now I have lower back pain with my left leg pain. I looked up the internet it said scatia, (can be due to nerve damage). I'm not willing to tell parents about this. Can you help?

I am 19 years old male and have backpain for last few months. I have used pain relief ointment and tablets but have not got any relief. What should I do now ?

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

This might be due to lack of blood circulation in the hands and we suggest to do contrast bath therapy ie. immersing in cold/hot water in the interval of 3-5 minutes which will help you reduce the pain.For the right hand pain it might be due to carpal tunnel syndrome, where the pain will be felt in the wrist. You can do hot water fermentation/ wax therapy for shoulder and for the wrist pain (hand pain) you can do ice therapy which will reduce the pain

My younger brother's wife undergone for spinal cord surgery two years back while surgery doctor used local anesthesia overdose because of that now she is suffering with neck Pain not only suffering the neck without her initiation automatically turning towards right that time she has to pull her neck into original position. Any treatment available for this to whom we have to contact for remedy.

I think she may have devoloped neck musle spasm along with cervical spondilyties. Best thing would be to consult her treating physicion treating doctor would be the prefered per he knows the history of the patient. She may requir neck exercise under strict supervision. But dont try self medication.

Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Sir my sister is 20 years old she fall from the back sit of a bike on her back sitting on ground about 6 months ago. There is nothing found on the X-ray test. But if she walks or stand for some more time, she feels pain at night, when she takes rest in the lower portion of her back. The local orthopaedics advised some exercises to do daily two times and didn't prescribed any special medicines. But the pain is very transparent and annoying. Please suggest what to do.
