I have taken many pain relief tablets for my back pain so it does not seems to be working.

I have taken many pain relief tablets for my back pain so it does not seems to be working.
Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

May be due to muscle spasm. You need to be on rest for couple of days, ice massage or hot packs will be helpful. Stop sitting or standing for long time. When you lie down on the bed keep changing your posture. If the pain still persists go and see a doctor or Physiotherapist. The information which you gave is not sufficient. You need to add your age, occupation, sex, duration of the pain, activities which increases and decreases the pain.

I would suggest you get a usg pelvis and a spine xray done and then consult a gynaecologist/ orthopaedician depending on the result.

Although ankylosing spondylosis is not curable, its possible to reduce its disability. You need to exercise regularly. Get the help of a physiotherapist or yoga therapist. Your orthopedic doctor may give you some medicines to slow the progress of this disease. In case hip joint is involved its best to undergo total hip replacement. Please don' t take steroids.

Dear , I understood your concerns, this problem persists since how many days or months? if since shorter duration like 2 or 3 weeks. May be some problem with muscle and connective tissues. But if from long time may be neurological problem may persists. What you do. Daily do the stretching of hands palm and forearm muscles and relax them if problem persists then need to consult neurologist and may proceed to further investigations.

Hi, I have constant pain in my upper body, shoulders, chest, upper back, neck and half portion of head joining neck. The weired thing is this pain keeps moving sometimes shoulder, sometimes chest, neck and all upper body part. It has been a month that I am suffering. I have taken muscles relaxing medicine but it's not only one place which it kind of rotate, very difficult to explain also. What can it be?, Is it gas traveling everywhere? For permanent cure, you should visit to a nearby physiotherapist first. So he/she will be able to assess closely your muscular and posture related issues. For now, do some hot fomentation, sit tall, walk talk tall, for a few days say no to your smart phone and unwanted use of any gadgets, or activities involving too much forward neck bending. Sit on a chair. Lean backwards for seconds, put your both hands behind the head and give a backward stretch, sit in front of mirror and press head agaaint palm in all four directions for 10 seconds each. For any querry feel free to revert back or write in person so that a detailed exercise programme can b explained. Thanx.

Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Alcohol. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do pranayama early morning.

Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy.

Is there any permanent cure of cervical if yes how long does it take for permanent cure? Please advise.

Investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar, vit. D urine r/e. X ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try, sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then please inform Contact your family doctor or hospital for emergency help. If you take treatment properly, then relapse chances are few.

Left sided position is advised in pregnancy as it helps to keep better blood flow to baby. But you can sleep on other side or straight too. You can just change position in between to feel better and relaxed.

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

I advice you to wear a knee cap while running. Before going for running do proper warm up and do stretching which will help you to relieve pain and will help to improve the blood circulation .after running do colling down .if pain is their you can keep ice also.

Do hot fomentation x twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Follow the 30-30 rule. Post 30min of work at your desk do 30 sec stretching in the opposite direction. Stand and walk for a few sec. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees. Avoid lifting any heavy weights. And get vit d levels checked.

You may be having hyperacidity along with dyspepsia or chronic gasteritis which is a precurser of peptic ulcer you should consult a medical/ gasenterologist. He will guide you do not self medicate.

You need to verify this with a reliable source. If you can't, then you could be becoming paranoid. If it is true, then you must find out the truth behind why people are backbiting about you in particular. When you find out the details, then work on those issues. If there is any truth, you must inform the HR Department and have them take some action of investigation. In terms of depression you could do some of the following: You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.
