You take following navaka guggulu 3 tabs morning and evening. With hot water medohara vidangadi loha 2 tabs morning and I tab evening. Always drink hot water regularly. Review after one month.

At your age, its common to have age related bad changes in knee and back called osteoarthritis and lumbar spondylosis respectively, you need to avoid squatting down, using indian toilet and climbing stairs. For back avoid forward bending, and lifting weights.

Hi docs, i have severe pain in both my knees, and have been told its arthiritis. I am 67. I stya fit and am strengthening by legs, and all the relevant muscles.I swim play golf. Of late the pain also has increased. I have a high tolerance of pain. For medication I am taking Dolo 650 twice a day, and Glucosmine one a day. Can you suggest 1. A method to ease the pain. 2 . Is it ok to take DOLO650 TWICE A DAY. 3.Alternate medicines. For the pain . Thanks , and appreciate your effort in going digital.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same, you need specific treatment plan according to your symptoms.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned persistent back pains as your main complaint. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. My brother is suffering from pain in spine and back head. The pain is very loud and intensity of pain is very high. When he eats something, after certain interval he vomiting all things. No disease is found in medical report even I do the M.R.I.he can't sleep as normal from last 10 days, cause of pain. Some times he is in very critical conditions. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Take r compound tablet 2 in morning after breakfast 2 after lunch 2 after dinner for 5 days. Massaje narayan taila on painful area. If you not gets relife than consult any bone spacialist.

Hi, take complete bed rest. Avoid spicy and oily food for about 1 month. Drink plenty of fluids like water, tender coconut, fresh fruit juices, etc. Take tab. Arogyavardhini 1-1-1 after food and tab. Liv. 52 ds 1-0-1 and kumari asava 2 tsf 3 times a day with equal quantity of water. Take all these medicines for about a month and repeat the blood and urine examinations to assess the bilirubin levels.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings.

Dear Whenever you will start walking jogging, in the beginning it happens that you will be tired or you will feel Iain in leg for two three days. Start your exercise slowly first and increase it day by day. At present you should do massage with any oil at night for two three days and get well soon.

Hello sir, I am 35 years old. Height 5.4 around 72 kgs in weight. I was injured while working onboard a ship (fell down from metallic stairs on ship) about 8 years ago. I didn't take that much serious at that time as it was not causing much problem but condition become little bit difficult after 1 year later when I was not able to walk and climb or get down stairs and do feel as if my upper part of my body above waist is detached and falling down. So, I visited on of a orthopaedic doctor who advised for rest and few exercises. Which I have followed as per his instructions. After I undertook a mri scan which states" small broad based central protrusion of the l1-2 and l2-3 discs, indenting tje thecal sac and loss of lumbar lordosis" but my question is that sir even though it's been nearly 8 years I do sometimes feel stiffness in back, feel stiffness when I do stand up after get up from sleep while on belly and also not able to sit down for a longer duration which my work requires. When I am doing the exercises I do feel better if not I do feel some what pain which tends to be felt only for few couple of minutes later on it's normal again. So, sir I do hereby request you to help me to overcome this situation of mine.

It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with intervertebral disc, narrowing of spinal canal, any bony instability besides many other, so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. But in your case there was an injury to your back region. Also tell me on a scale of 1-10 how severe is your back pain? is it also associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem.
