I am 69 years, and CAD patient with multiple blocks and under medical line of of treatment for more than 20 years. I also have CERVICAL spondylitis with mild compression. Food intake is normal, non diabetic. For last one year I am getting pain between wrist to arm joint, some times it is very severe. I have been recommended to use pain spray. It gives relief, occasionally I use SALONPAS PAIN RELIEVING PATCH which is very helpful. On many occasions the pain radiates to shoulder joint, back, neck and ears. Occasionally I take SORBITRATE 5 mg. Recommended by cardiologist. I get faster relief from this Tablet. I brought to the notice of the CARDIOLOGIST and also ORTHO SURGEON, who advised me to take the same and no harm will come even if I take more than 2 to 3 tablets. This will protect and act as pain killer and as well protect the HEART. Normally there will be no sweating, no chest pain during such occasions. Unless it is very hot and poor air circulation in the area. On such occasions if I am driving, I will stop and relax for few minutes and try to get plenty fresh air. Most of the time I get relief without grabbing SORBITRATE TAB. Other wise I will have the TAB for relief. I am not able to go for Medium or Long walking because I get NECK PAIN and rest for few minutes gives relief. Sometimes I get pain while taking food in a group. MY QUESTION is why I get such pain but get relief after brief rest with plenty of fresh air or tablet? I may also add that I avoid gulping SORBITRATE at sign of the PAIN. I shall be glad to have honest answer to my question why the pain appears while changing the gears--motor car turning steering wheel, occasionally.

Dear lybrateuser, if your pain pain has its origin in chest & then comes to your upper limb then in all probability it is associated with problem in the heart as also you have mentioned that you get relief by rest & taking tab sorbitrate. Now secondly you also mention that you get pain on walking as well as while driving your car that is changing gear etc. This pain which is associated with the limb movement may be due to your cervical spondylosis which aiso you have mentioned above & get relief by pain killer. -for your cardiac condition & status get yourself rewied by a cardiologist so that the exact cause of the pain can be known by investigations & treatd accordingly -as for your cervical spondylosis pl. Do neck exercises, use a firm & flat pillow which adequately supports your neck & shoulder while sleeping. Also you can go for neck traction if advised by a orthopidician.

Hi doctor. I am posting this question for my friend. She is 22 years old and currently in bangalore. Shes extremely disturbed as shes in a very unstable relationship and can not seem to break away from it. Even If she decides to let go she somehow relapses back and does not seem to be happy about the relationship or about herself. Even continuous advice from friends does not help her. Yes sir it's a disturbance in co-ordination between motor centre an demotion centre of brain. You need to visit a osteopath which help you to make coordination between both the centre by doing cranial therapy. Which is only can handle by expert osteopath.

Tk a soft pillow for back support and tk break between long sitting. Do stretching exercise of spine and legs and do hot fermentation and rest if it work then ok otherwise physiotherapy treatment.

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Diabetes must be controlled beyond any shadow of doubt. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

There is a severe pain and burn in my hand. My wrist pains and my fingers are swollen. My full hand including fingers has tingling sensation all the time. The ulnar and radial nerve also has a burning sensation. My wrist and fingers are stiff too and I couldn't sleep too for the excess pain and burn.

Do contrast bath therapy- take hot water in one bowl & cold water in another bowl. First dip your hand upto wrist in hot water for 3 min then immediately in cold water for 1 min, keep repeating for 20-25 min, twice a day. While your hand is in water keep moving hand actively Do hand stretches Take smiley ball, squeeze it, hold for 3 sec then relax, 25 repetitions twice a day.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily

Hamstring stretching Towel Hamstring Stretch Lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it.. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated Hamstring Stretch While sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds Repeat 3 times for each leg.

Hi I am 33 male do exercise daily. Drink 4 litre water and don't drink/smoke. My bones give crackle sound most of time. I felt that on back when I push both arms towards back side and in right leg or some time in left arm. What is the natural solution for that. Thanks:)

These are possibly snapping sounds from tendons. You need to do more exercises. It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

It's due to nutritional deficiencies and overweight. Control your with exercise and dieting and take calcium, vitamin d and vitamin e supplements. Take plenty of vitamin b12 for nerves.

Hello Lybrate user After removing POP cast exercises are must to reeducate the involving muscle and to regain the strength of muscle too.In immobilise stage or Pop cast is necessary to heal the fracture. Once fracture is healed next stage to mobilise the joint with proper exercises. First week of exercise of that joint can be painful but proper smooth movement decreases pain day by day and joint becomes painfree & actively move. Exercise with advice of qualified physiotherapist only.

The bone pain is present over the spine at perticular region, continuously or at the time of weight baring if it is muscle pain commonly present on the sides of spine and comes on doing work and decresses at rest. If nerve pain it comes like shock sensation radiating to other places like sides or to lower limbs.

As you feel pain in knees, follow these usefultips for pain relief: * first check out bone mineral density (bmd). In case of low bmd, your calcium level in body are low. So take take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * give a gentle oil massage to knees regularly and wrap your knees with cloth dipped in hot water for atleast 10-15 minutes. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamind. *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * check out your blood sugar level and hemoglobin level in every 6 months. * if you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis in family then checkout your ra factor. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.
