Get your teeth x rayed. Than only dentist can decide what needs to be done. If its erupting normally, just take painkillers to reduce pain n do salt water gargle. If there is infection in the surrounding gums, the dentist can remove it for you. If the tooth is struck in the jaw, than you have to get the tooth removed.

Do not use dettol as a mouth wash. Stop dettol. Sensation will come back by itself. Rather do cleaning of your tongue.

I have a patch like something on side of my tongue. It's not painful it seems white in night but day time it's normal. It came after I rigorously scrapped my tongue for few days for white coated tongue.

You can apply ice pack on the swelling for 3-4 minutes not more than twice a day. This will decrease swelling. Rinse your mouth with warm saline (salt) water 3-4 times daily after meals. Take the prescribed medicine on time. If pain persists then you should visit the dentist again.
