I am trying for pregnancy, but when I did sonography I came to know I am suffering from pcos. Is laproscopy an effective treatment for treating pcos.

BHMS
Homeopath, Ahmedabad
Pcos/pcod is a hormone disorder. I would suggest a thorough treatment where hormone leves and balanced internally. Adminitering hormones externally can help locally or time bieng but the issue will not be resolved. We in homoeopathic science do have good number of remedies to help you internaly thus restoring the balance. What we need is a brief history of urs and you can be treated naturaly without any side effects. Fell frew to talk about it further. Till then what you can follow is 1.45 mins of light exercise 2. Loose wieght if you are overwieght 3. Have proper healthy diet including fruits n vegetables 4. Proper sleep and yoga/pranayama to destress yourself. -regards Dr. Anand joshi.

Uti, a very common problem can be kept at bay by simple measures like drinking 8-10 glasses of water. Research also suggests that coconut water and cranberry juice have protective effects against uti.

Dear lybrate-user This case history of yours show that recurrent miscarriages in your case need evaluation. There are numerous factors which are responsible for such events. They need a proper investigation and treatment. I would suggest "do not go by internet info" about baby aspirin and other things. Investigations and treatment are always customized according to the cause found. All miscarriages are not treated with the same treatment methodology. I suggest you consult a gynaecologist experienced in recurrent miscarriages. Hope this helps you.

This is natural hormone and will not harm you or your baby. Sometimes it is given in twice a day dosage also. Mood swings, vomiting, skin rashes and itching, pain in abdomen and lower abdomen, excessive gas in stomach, urge to vomit, temporary feeling of sleepiness and dizziness following intake of progesterone, diarrhea all these you can have but is temporary.

How To Prevent Tuberculosis(TB) From Spreading And Safeguard Yourself

MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
How To Prevent Tuberculosis(TB) From Spreading And Safeguard Yourself
Ways To Prevent Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis happened to be a life threatening disease till some years ago. Now, it is curable with medication, however there is very little awareness about the same. It is crucial that awareness is spread to put a stop to this disease. TB spreads through infection, so a simple sneeze or a cough can also be hazardous. Here is how you can stop the spreading:

1. Curb the Spread - If someone already has tuberculosis, they need to cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing. This is actually a habit everyone should follow, as there are many people in whom the tuberculosis virus exists but is dormant.
2. Don’t let it activate - If you have latent tuberculosis, where you have none of the symptoms yet have been identified, you need to take the medication prescribed so that it doesn’t become active.
3. Complete the course - TB is curable but only when medications are taken regularly, strictly, and as prescribed.
4. Avoid exposure to the infected people - People who have been exposed to TB patients should get themselves tested. Remember it spreads through infection; patients need not be kept in isolation if taking proper care and medication.
5. Boost your immunity - Ensure that your own immunity is strong. People with low immunity are at extreme risk of contracting tuberculosis. Take special care if you are a caretaker of someone being treated for tuberculosis, if you do drug and/or alcohol abuse, if you live in crowded spaces like shelters, etc.
6. Improve your lifestyle - Lead a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy, exercising often, reducing alcohol consumption, sleeping well and maintaining good hygiene.

The bleeding you are having is bcz of withdrawal effect of ipill, so now you would have to wait for few more days until you get your periods, and if you miss your due date you do a Urine pregnancy test to confirm for pregnancy.

Why it is better to take vaginal contraceptives

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS

Why it is better to take vaginal contraceptives
Using contraceptives vaginally is more effective. It doesn't lead to nausea, vertigo, headache, breast tenderness, period pain and other stomach issues when compared with women taking the pills orally.
