Reason is basically because of suppression of bone marrow so on a long term basis apart from medicine take a sun bath early morning for an hour on daily basis.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. I am getting back pain when I am doing work in front of my computer So what can I do for reducing my back pain.
Hunching over a desk is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.

I have back pain from 1 week. Yesterday I went to physiotherapist and took treatment. Kind of massage. She told me to take hot pack in home and to come for 2 sittings. It was fine for 1hour after the treatment but in the night it became more worse than before. I couldn't sleep night because of that. Is that treatment is right? Do I need to change the doctor?

Hi lybrate-user, I would suggest you to see good physiotherapy doctor whoz speciality is mpt orthopedic, let him assess you completely and with due respect to Dr. Prashanth parate I completely disagree with him, like he said first see Ms. Ortho, but y. Do you need to undergo any surgery or what? that's immature talk on his part. So many things include in assessment, subjective, objectives, special test (musculo skeltal), dermatome & myotomes, tone, mmt, rom etc etc, after all this will come to conclusion. Differential diagnosis etc etc many things required to come to final diagnosis. Then need proper treatment protocol for particular days with that you need to follow do's n do not's.

Back Ache: Herbal And Home Remedies for it!

In our fast paced life, a wrong bend or an incorrect posture is quick to trigger a back ache. It can also occur because of reasons like arthritis, improper diet, lack of physical activity, an improper lifting of a heavy object, excessive physical labour or pregnancy. Most white collared professionals are a victim of a sedentary lifestyle where they spend hours on end sitting in the same position. In fact prolonged sitting is also a cause for weight gain, obesity, joint problems, poor health and even premature death.

Our instant reaction is to take a painkiller and get relief from a back ache. But painkillers often come with unwanted side effects and it is best not to take them unless prescribed by a physician. Some of the commonly prescribed painkillers in the market increase your risk to a heart attack by 2 to 4 times, cause cardiovascular problems, gastrointestinal problems, like digestive tract bleeding and even kidney problems. Instead, back ache has several home remedies that can wonders. It will require a little patience but the zero side effect factor and long term relief will eventually be great for you. 

Try these herbal and home remedies for backache: 

  1. Internal and external pain relief with Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory compounds that can work well for pain relief. You can start by making Ginger tea. To do this, add 2-3 slices of ginger in half cup boiling water and simmer it for 10 - 15 minutes. You can add honey and drink it 2-3 times a day. You can also add half tea spoon crushed peppercorns and 2-3 cloves to this tea. Adding a dash of black salt helps in improving the taste.
  2. Harness the power of Basil: Add 10 Basil leaves to a boiling cup of water and continue to boil it until it reduces to half. You can add a dash of salt to this and drink it through the day.
  3. Home remedies with exercise: Not only should you stretch between long sitting hours, you should also get some back exercise suggested by a physical trainer with expertise in the field.
  4. Trigger your inner healing by releasing endorphins: Endorphins act as a pain blocking mechanism in the body and doing certain activities you like can help release them. From walking for 20 minutes to aerobics, to yoga to meditation to chiropractic care, you can try whatever makes you happy and calm to trigger your inner healing.
  5. Garlic: These tiny cloves healing powers are well known for a variety of body ailments including blood pressure. Taking a couple of cloves early in the morning on empty stomach or massaging with garlic oil helps relieve back ache. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

Dear Stanly, Because you had ligament tear you need to be cautious throughout your life to avoid any high impact weight bearing activites like jumping, running otherwisw it will precipitate and aggravate your pain. Swelling around your ankle means inflammation and for that you can go for some rest of the ankle joint, ice massage and you can use crepe bandage for some time to immobilise the joint. can keep you ankle in elevated position while sleeping or while resting. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

Dear user, it might be due to weakness and insufficient oxygenation to your muscles leading to pain. Also due to K,Na imbalance pain / crams arises. All you can do is take warm water bath or dip your feet fully in Luke warm water for sometime and take electrolytes along with these use a remedy Rhus Tox 200 twice for 5 days and then consult back for permanent restoration.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. I consulted a doctor with lower back pain and muscle fatigue while walking. He asked to take an X ray and he said it shows my lower spine has straightened and doesn't have any curvature it naturally have. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hello lybrate user, back pain in a young patient such as yourself would alert me towards the possibility of an infection such as tuberculosis or other bacteria. Infection is usually associated with fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight, etc. Other causes may be trauma leading to a soft tissue injury or a bony fracture. Some patients might also be suffering from slip disc. Other rare causes could be spinal deformity, tumors, etc. But to arrive at an accurate diagnosis you need to go through a clinical assessment by a qualified orthopaedician or a spine surgeon.
