Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin Folli Hair once daily for 1 month.

Hi, My mother is suffering from mild Dementia and treatment for same is going on. She urinate quite frequency and always feel like urinating. Her Na+ and k+ always fluids and she feels restless (bachani) always and shake his body. Currently her feet has also swollen. We have already consulted neurology but restless has not come down and urination is frequent and feet is swollen. Please suggest what to do in this case. She is 74 years of age.

First, drink water strictly by thirst. That is a natural law which we have distorted. Secondly, get an ultrasound done for residual urine. Sometimes retention can lead to this. Thirdly, check if she remains constipated. Best is to see a urologist with all these information. He will do the needful.

Hi! I am Dr. Ashit Sharma. I’m a consultant journal and laparoscopic surgeon. Today I’m going to tell you about the most common surgical problems like Hernia. We are talking about Hernia today. Hernia is a very common presentation in surgical practice.

Now, what is Hernia? Hernia is protrusion of sack from abdominal wall through the weakest point in the abdominal wall. We can say there is umbilicus. You must have seen ladies, fatty ladies with a bulging coming from umbilical area that is called Umbilical Hernia in the same way is inguinal canal. Inguinal canal is a tube which is connecting link between the testis and the abdominal cavity. Sometimes, sack protrudes through this inguinal canal, this is called inguinal Hernia. So many causes are there, like whenever intra-abdominal pressure is raised, it may cause the protrusion of sack through the weakest point in the abdominal wall.

Suppose patient is suffering from chronic asthma, chronic cough or allergic bronchitis, so every time he is coughing, intra-abdominal pressure raises and it may lead to Herniation. In the same way in old age group, if you see, for example, a person who is suffering from prostate enlargement and he strains for urination so there is increase in intra-abdominal pressure and it may lead to protrusion of sack into the inguinal canal and that is called inguinal Hernia. Suppose, a person is obese, again, a lot of intra-abdominal fat increases and this increases the intra-abdominal pressure, a person is doing excessive exercise including weight lifting, again, he’s putting the extra pressure inside the abdominal cavity and this is a cause of Herniation.

How we can diagnose and how to prevent and how to treat this condition? So, first of all, the causative factor should be removed. If he’s suffering from chronic cough, that has to be taken care of. He’s suffering from prostate enlargement, that should be operated and passage should be clear and if obesity is there, try to reduce your weight. Don’t do heavy extreme exercises. Don’t lift much of weight and don’t take high protein diet. Because, in an elderly age group, lot of weakness is there in the muscles. Again, this is a cause of the same problem.

Laparoscopic Hernia repairs surgeries we are doing, i.e. without any incision and without any prolong stay of the patient. So, this is the basic thing which we can prevent by avoiding unnecessarily increase in intra-abdominal pressure and one thing is very important Incisional Hernia. It is the weakest point where scar is there, after post-surgical scar and it can protrude through this scar weakening and that is called Incisional Hernia. Again, this is Herniation and that can be very well repaired by laparoscopic surgery.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises. Boil 3 grams of fresh mint leaves or 1.5 grams of dried powder of mint leaves in 1 cup of water for 15-20 minutes. Take lukewarm with 1 teaspoon of honey at bedtime. Add ½ tsp of cinnamon powder and 1 tsp of honey with 1 cup of warm milk. Drink before going to bed. Massage your feet with lukewarm mustard oil 2-3 times a day and before going to bed. Take 1 teaspoon each of brahmi and ashwagandha powder in 2 cups of water, boil and reduce it to one cup and drink it daily in the morning.

She is too young. During this age weight can be reduced easily. Just need to figure out what's the best ratio of fat, muscles & her bone weight. And accordingly you can go further. Just need to do some changes as per the body parameters and lifestyle routine. Easily minimum she can reduce atleast 4-5 kgs in 1 month. Start making a record of weight and do check the parameters first of all. Than things can be planned.

First do not lick you lips often. Usually lot of people disagree, but they do involuntarily. Need to apply lip balms which moisturise the lips regularly and helps them regain the pigmentation. Also a sun screen should also be used in the morning and afternoon. Also you can try some peels for the same and also it would be nice if you could go for multiple sessions.

charming personality comes from mind and not by how you look. Always keep that in your mind. for weight loss...there is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. i will give you a general approach to try for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If not enough then consult. 1. do not eat anything sugary or sweet. 2. eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner 3. do atleast 30 min of exercise every day of any kind

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Hye, thanks for the query. Firstly understand that muscle gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism along with your daily diet and exercise routine. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Muscle gain is all about taking more nutrients than you use up. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. There is no one food that helps muscle gain. Eat meals at frequent intervals. You need to eat at least 6 meals a day. Eat a protein rich mid meal between each main meal. Pre/ post workout meals need a certain amount of carbs and proteins depending on your exercise routine. Avoid junk, sugary, oily foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits, dry fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, smoothies, masala milk, healthy oils in your diet. Restrict eating sugary, sweet foods. Try to have healthy deserts like kheer, chikki or lassi. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least 6 days a week. It helps development of muscle mass and improves appetite. You probably have issues clearing your bowels, is that why you are drinking water in the morning? If yes then take 2 spoons of isphgul powder with a large glass of water at night, have dinner a little early, wait for at least 2-3 weeks to see a difference - it will not happen overnight. Other wise meet a gastroenterologist near you.
