It may also present as retraction of nipple, skin thickening, dimpling of skin, firmness of breast as compared to the other one. Breast cancer is a lifestyle related disease. Sedentary lifestyle, lack of exercise, obesity, fatty food etc. It may also be hormone related, nulliparity or not having children, not breast feeding, late marriage and conception or hormone replacement etc may also be one of the causes. In some women it is genetic and may present in multiple members of family. Routine self breast examination and screening helps in early diagnosis. Hello doctor, I am planning for a baby from past 7 months but not able to conceive I got married 1 and half year back...
Hello lybrate-user, As you have mentioned you had a ovulation kit with yourself and you checked it from tenth day of menses and it showed negative even when you had alternate day intercourse, that's because you did not have ovulation (reason for the test to come negative). You might be suffering from PCOS. A condition in which the follicle doesn't rupture. In simple words there is no ovulation. Without ovulation there cannot be a conception. Kindly get a ultrasound of abdomen on sixty days of your menses. Thus might be the reason for your long 42 day cycle which for reduced to 32 days due to M2tone which is an ayurvedic medicine. Kindly consult me with your reports and I will be able to give you proper guidance. Tk care.

Your 5-Step Plan for Living Longer

Nobody lives forever. But if you make these small lifestyle changes, you could add years to your life.

You’ve built a lot of stuff in your life—maybe a deck, perhaps some muscle, certainly your reputation. But no matter how boast-worthy (or cringe-inducing) the final results, all of your projects up to this point have just been warmups for this one: constructing stronger and longer telomeres.

These caps on the ends of your chromosomes influence the way you age, and by building buff telomeres you may reduce your risk of developing cancer, heart disease, and other chronic conditions.

That’s why you should consider this five-step plan your blueprint to living a longer life. Granted, no one will actually be able to see the results of your hard work. So what? Your longevity will be proof of a job well done.

1. Bring Those 10 Minutes to Your Quiet Space

Sit down, close your eyes, and breathe in and out to the count of 10.

2. Eat Your Greens with Orange Peppers

This combo contains lutein, zeaxanthin, and vitamin C, three antioxidants that protect your DNA from free-radical damage.

3. Finally Learn Your Neighbor’s Name

You’ll both benefit from getting to know each other: A study reported that people who live in communities with lower levels of social cohesion and safety had shorter telomeres than residents of more tightly knit neighborhoods.

4. Want to Pair Those Peppers with Protein?

Grill up salmon or tuna, which are filled to the gills with omega-3 fatty acids.

5. Use Your Self-Awareness to Monitor Your Folate Intake

In a 2015 study, people with the highest levels of folate, found in leafy greens, had the shortest telomeres.

Too much of it can damage DNA. But don’t skimp on spinach; cut back on fortified grains, like cereal.

HAVE A HEALTHY LIVING ...

Causes of painful urination is an infection

Master in Psychology, MD - Ayurveda, Dems, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda,
Causes of painful urination is an infection
Have pain while Urinating ??

Have pain while Urinating??

If left untreated, what are the complications?

If painful urination is left untreated, it can be life threatening depending on the cause. Complications include kidney failure, septicemia, shock and spread of cancer.
That’s why it is better to seek medical help if the symptoms last for 2 days, especially if your pain is associated with other symptoms like foul smelling urine, pus or blood in the urine, nausea, vomiting, fever, pain in lower back and frequent chills.

Treatment and Prevention

If the cause of painful urination is an infection, then it is treated with antibiotics, urinary analgesics and anti-fungal agents in the form of creams or tablets. There are several natural remedies for painful urination as well.

Here are some tips to avoid painful urination:

1) Drink lots of water every day to cleanse your system.
2) Urinate as soon as you feel the urge to urinate to reduce the risk of infection.
3) Avoid eating spicy and sugary foods. They can irritate the linings of your bladder, cause pelvic cramps and also burden your kidneys and bladder.
4) Avoid drinking alcohol and caffeinated beverages like tea, coffee. They tend to stimulate bladder irritation and cause dehydration.
5) Avoid eating tomatoes and citrus foods.
6) Follow proper hygiene daily.

After urinating, women should dry the area from front to back for preventing germ inoculation in the urinary tract. Change sanitary towels regularly during periods.
Avoid using products like soap, oils or talc around the genital area that can cause irritation.
Practice safe and hygienic sex. Urinate after having an intercourse to flush out bacteria from the urethra.
Avoid wearing tight clothes.

Wish u a good health.

Home Remedies for Joint Pain

Master in Psychology, MD - Ayurveda, Dems, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda,
Home Remedies for Joint Pain
1. Massage
Massage therapy helps relieve joint pain by improving circulation and soothing inflammation. In fact, several studies indicate that regular massage can improve pain, stiffness and range of motion in the affected joint.
To massage the affected area, use warm oil like coconut, olive, mustard, castor or garlic oil and apply gentle pressure while massaging.

2. Hot and cold compresses
Alternating hot and cold compresses can also help ease joint pain. Heat therapy helps decrease pain, increase blood flow and relax sore muscles and joints. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and numbs the areas around the affected joint.
- Wrap both compresses in separate towels before using them. They should not be applied directly to the skin.
- Place the hot compress on the affected area for about three minutes.
- Remove the compress and immediately put a cold compress in its place for about one minute.
- Repeat the process for 15 to 20 minutes a few times daily until you get relief

4 Ways to Have Safe Oral Sex

M.D.MEDICINE , Diploma in Diabetology

4 Ways to Have Safe Oral Sex

Oral sex is a form of sexual activity, which involves the arousal of one's genitalia by his/her partner using the mouth (tongue, lips and throat). It is also called Cunnilingus (performed on a female) and fellatio (performed on a male). It is done before intercourse and during foreplay for sexual arousal. It is safe as compared to vaginal or anal sex, the rate of getting a STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) or HIV is comparatively lower.

Oral sex can spice up your life and can also make your partner reach orgasm. It is also a safe way of getting sexual pleasure without getting pregnant. But necessary precautions must be taken in order to have safe oral sex.

Some of these necessary precautions are:

  1. You can get throat cancer from oral sex: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a cancerous virus found in the body of infected people. This virus can be transmitted to the person with whom you are engaging in oral sex. Studies show that people who engage with more than 6 sexual partners at once are more prone to get oral cancer. It is advisable to get your partner tested for HPV virus before engaging in oral sex.
  2. Oral sex also causes stress: Oral sex is generally related to hygiene, therefore the partner can be self conscious and worried about his/her genital hygiene. If oral sex is performed on a daily basis, some people prefer to wax their pubic hair often. This is harmful because it can cause red bumps and burning sensation occurs. It is advisable to trim your pubic hair and wash it properly before engaging in oral sex.
  3. A condom should be worn by the male during oral sex so that there is no risk of male fluid entering the woman's body.
  4. A latex, which is made into a thin sheet called dental dam can be used on the vagina or anus. This creates a thin barrier between the mouth and the genitalia. Hence, chances of getting infected by sexually transmitted diseases are greatly reduced.

Oral sex can be pleasurable and fun, but the risks of getting sexually transmitted diseases like herpes, gonorrhea and crabs is not altogether misplaced. So it is advisable to use proper protection and to maintain hygiene before engaging in oral sex. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

There is no way by which amniotic fluid can be increased at 38 weeks pregnancy. Maximum you can do is to get the scan repeated from another sonologist which your doctor has not suggested. If your report remains the same cesarean section should be done as baby's cord can get compressed during natural birth.

Magnesium Deficiency - How it Affects Your Body?

PG Diploma Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc - Home Science

Magnesium Deficiency - How it Affects Your Body?

We all know about magnesium as a mineral, but what most individuals do not know is the fact that it is a very important mineral for our bodily health. Magnesium is involved with more or less 300 complex metabolic processes in our body, thus earning the title of ‘master mineral’.

Here is a list of reasons why magnesium holds an important place in our body.

It is responsible for transportation of calcium across cell membranes. As such, it helps calcium get into the bone matter. Like we all know, magnesium is anti-inflammatory. It helps in waiving conditions mentioned below:

  1. Arthritis
  2. Alzheimer’s disease
  3. High blood pressure
  4. Respiratory issues
  5. Diabetes

So magnesium deficiency can definitely cause numerous problems in the human body. This element works in our body at a cellular level. It is important to have a check up done with the doctor to ensure the magnesium level, however, a simple a blood test cannot determine the presence or absence of it. Here are a few signs that might suggest that an individual is suffering from magnesium deficiency.

  1. A lot of calcium deficiency which means brittle bones
  2. Very poor heart health
  3. A lot of unnecessary weakness
  4. Very frequent muscle cramps at unusual situations
  5. Tremors, nausea and unnecessary anxiety
  6. High blood pressure and type 2 diabetes
  7. Difficulty in swallowing the food
  8. Poor memory
  9. Lots and lots of useless confusion

Although individuals with magnesium deficiency suffer from these symptoms, it is not necessary that any individual suffering from such symptoms might have magnesium deficiency. So, the only way to improve magnesium amount in the body is by changing your diet and including magnesium rich foods or my supplementing your food with magnesium-based food products.

Magnesium overdose is close to impossible and so many would not check their magnesium intake. However, consuming too much of anything can never be a good idea. Excessive magnesium intake might end up causing the following issues:

  • Irregular heartbeats in individuals
  • Slow breathing
  • Diarrhoea

This excess amount of magnesium in the body might be due to the fact that not all supplements can be easily absorbed by the body. So it is a better idea to eat inexpensive food to keep the magnesium levels at par with the bodily requirements.

Here is a list of items that can relieve the deficiency symptoms of low magnesium.

  1. Seeds of pumpkin
  2. Seeds of sun flower
  3. Soya bean
  4. Black beans
  5. Sesame seeds
  6. Almond
  7. Spinach and many more

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.
