What are the tips or diet to be followed to get healthy glowing skin and denser hair?
Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish.

For hair fall solution, we have to stop causative factors like improper diet acidity & gas more exposure to sun spicey sour n salty food to much curd day sleep lack of vitamins & other nutrients anger & stress due to previous illness etc. 1st try to avoid these factors use cow ghee & milk in diet avoid sour buttermilk & curd use trichup shampoos & medicated oil avoid direct sun & air take proper diet we generally start 3 treatment together 1. Medicine for root cause & hair tonic 2. Shirodhara with medicated oil 3. Nashya tretment.

Hair loss may be nutritional. Please take a healthy nutritious diet. Take supplements containing aminoacids vitamins n minerals. Exercise regularly.

Hi user, the following remedies can help you in treating the problem of dandruff and give you healthy shiny hair. 1. You can apply ketoconazole lotion on your scalp as it is extremely effective for treating fungal infections such as dandruff. 2. Applying mahabhringraj oil on your scalp and massage, finish the process by giving hot water fomentation. Mahabhringraj is a herbal oil used for treatment of hair related problems. 3. You can put 1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils before going to bed. You can take pranacharya allergen capsule twice a day. Increase the intake of proteins such as soybean, egg white and pulses and avoid foods that are junk, fried, spicy or fermented. It is also advisable to avoid tea and coffee. 4. You should apply only ayurvedic shampoo and avoid any synthetic shampoos. Do pranayama every morning.

there is in ayurveda mention pinda swed ..it is a type of swedan karma [phomentation] but it do some another manner .. 1.boiled a rice in milk then take this rice in one white cloth then tied it properly and warmly it rub on your face every morning for 15 days then stop it and do next month again 2.apply almond oil on your face and massage for 3-5 min at night .. by doing above thing you will get good result

Diagnosed with Acne vulgaris gr II-III and the treatment planned was isotretinoin but lab investigation reported showed otherwise. So right now applying benzoyl peroxide 2.5% with little to no success. Is there any other alternative?

Other options would be oral antibiotics for 6 to 8 weeks, Combinaton of adaferin and benzoyl oeroxide topically, chemical peels and intense pulsed light, Laser.

Olive oil contains many antioxidants and healthy fatty acids that are good for your skin. It can soothe and condition dry skin all over your body. •Dab a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil under your regular moisturizer. •About a half an hour before taking a shower, rub some olive oil on your hands, legs and other areas with dry skin and massage lightly. Take a shower and then apply a light moisturizer. •Mix equal amounts of olive oil and fine brown sugar. Rub this homemade scrub on your dry skin using light, circular motions for a few minutes. Take a shower and then apply a light moisturizer. Start drinking 6-8 glass water daily

Hair fall is due to many reasons now a day it is common due to stress and busy life check your haemoglobin level if less then take hamatinic any multinational company take proper diet (dal vegetables sprouts fruits) and do exercise minimum 15 min if possibles do yoga for 10 min increase water intake minimum 3 to 4 litres per day also take homoeo medicines homoeo medicines are known for to stop hair fall and it actually happens phosphrus 30 (30 no glouble) 2 tds x 2 weeks and reply also comb your hair gently and 2/3 time per day wash with homoeopathic shampoo (sbl or any company) twice a week preaper oil by mixing arnica montana q 30 ml + any regular hair oil and apply before wash

Hello, Alopecia areata is a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles , which is where hair growth begins. Alopecia areata usually begins when clumps of hair fall out, resulting in totally smooth, round hairless patches on the scalp. In some cases the hair may become thinner without noticeable patches of baldness, or it may grow and break off, leaving short stubs (called "exclamation point" hair). In rare cases, complete loss of scalp hair and body hair occurs. The hair loss often comes and goes-hair will grow back over several months in one area but will fall out in another area. You are more likely to have permanent hair loss if you: Have a family history of the condition. Have the condition at a young age (before puberty) or for longer than 1 year. Have another autoimmune disease. Are prone to allergies (atopy). Have extensive hair loss. Have abnormal color, shape, texture, or thickness of the fingernails or toenails. Medication: Take homoeopathic medication which is safe to take and you will start getting the results within few days to few months - Acid Fluor. 200 to be taken twice a day daily for 1month. Revert back for further guidance. d Home Remedies: -Lavender - an essential oil, since it is so powerful, should be diluted into a base oil before being applied, such as almond or coconut oil. Other essential oils, including peppermint, sage, and rosemary oils can also be used on the scalp to stimulate blood flow to the scalp, thereby causing hair follicles to hear or even begin growing hair again. -One of the healthiest ways to reduce the effects of Alopecia areata is to eat as much vitamin C as possible, which is found in citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables. For hypothyroidism: If you are suffering from chronic and high grade thyroid dysfunction or autoimmune thyroid disease, in all these cases whether you take allopathic or homoeopathic or any other mode of treatment, it would maintain your thyroid function. Do practice yoga along with these medicines. Yoga-Poses: Kalapbhati: This is a very effective form of pranayama. Sit down on the floor in a comfortable cross-legged position. Take a deep breath & then exhale quickly, while making a sound. Always remember while doing Kapalbhati – you have to forcefully and quickly exhale, but slowly and deeply inhale. Continue doing this for 10 times & then release. Ujjayi Pranayam: Sit down on the floor in a cross-legged straight position. Inhale slowly and deeply by both the nostrils. Try to make a hissing sound while you are sucking in the air. After that, stretch your inhale time for a while & then exhale as much as you can without giving any kind of pressure to your other body parts. This type of pranayama is very effective for those suffering from bronchitis, asthma & thyroid. Yoga Nidra (Corpse Pose) also works well in both hypo and hyperthyroidism in reducing stress and calming down. Foods to be avoided in Hypothyroidism: hypothyroidism causes skin to become dry. Once it is controlled with tsh levels becoming normal, most symptoms will disappear. Carrots and beet root are fine, can be eaten. Only cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, mustard, peanuts, soy beans and soy containing products and coffee need to be avoided.

I am suffering from various hair problems. How can I make hairs smooth and shiny.
1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6.Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.
