Hi lybrate-user, I think the extra teeth you r talking about r the permanent teeth n 5 years is early for the permanent teeth to erupt. Get an opg done n do visit dentist n get the retained milk teeth removed.

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist,
Hi you need to be investigated thoroughly to rule out the cause of loosening of tooth in your age. Take care of your oral hygiene. Brush regularly two times daily with soft bristle toothbrush. The toothache you are referring to may be due to a variety of causes, the most common being: 1.Tooth decay 2. Tooth fracture 3. A damaged filling 4. Infected gums The most common cause is a long-standing cavity or tooth decay, which usually requires a root canal treatment (RCT). The same treatment applies to a tooth fracture as well. In case of a damaged filling, there may be two possibilities: either the filling can be removed and replaced with a new one after applying a soothing base material; or if the damaged filling is placed deep near the nerves of the tooth, it may require an RCT. Infected gums usually are treated with deep cleaning/scaling after which there is permanent relief from pain. I suggest that that you consult me privately on Lybrate, so that I can provide more specific answers. You will be able to send across images of your aching tooth/teeth, and looking at them will help me be in a better position to solve your problem.

I am 18 years old & I am having yellow teeth What can I do?

BDS
Dentist,
I am 18 years old & I am having yellow teeth What can I do?
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Tobacco use. Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing. Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

Hi doctor. I yet didn't lose my milk teeth. Is there any problem for me further?

BDS
Dentist,
Hi doctor. I yet didn't lose my milk teeth. Is there any problem for me further?
If your permanent teeth are maligned due to milk teeth and you want it to be correct then you should go for extraction of milk teeth and get your teeth alignment correct. But if you're happy with your dentition then forget about milk teeth it will shed off by own sometime.
