Homoeopathic medicine sepia 30 (dr reckeweg) drink 1 drop direct on tongue daily night for 3 month natural treatment to eliminatemoles castor oil helps remove warts and moles. Being a discutient, it helps dissolve and eliminate unusual growths. This method is not likely to leave scars. However, it tends to take a lot of time as it gets rid of moles one layer at a time. 1. Mix a pinch of baking soda and a few drops of castor oil. You can also mix in ground aspirin. 2. Gently rub the mixture on your mole. 3. Leave it on for a few hours until it dries naturally. 4. Do this twice daily for about one month. If you do not have baking soda, you can use castor oil alone.

Hi. How long does glyco-12 takes to lighten my hands and feet?
Is there any creams which does better?
GLYCO-12 DOES NOT LIGHTEN YOUR COLOUR BUT REMOVES SUPERFICIAL LAYERS OF SKIN TOO GIVE A FRESH LOOK No cream or drug can make your skin colour lighter than your natural skin colour which is apparant in your covered body area. The exposed area becomes a bit darker because of tanning. You can remove tanning and dark spots by melalite-XL cream or Benoquin 2%

Applying hair oil in the month of rainy reason. Can be bad for hair or increase to hair fall.
Dear user since it is the month of monsoon lot of humidity is the so there is already lot of sweating over your scalp. So you must avoid oil during this time or if you want to apply, apply it at night n wash it nxt morning. Applying oil for long may make your roots fragile leading to breakages. Thnx.

What is the average cost and method of removing small common moles from face. I have 5 moles and I want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

MCh - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Bangalore
Hello. Glad to answer your query. First of all its better to know that Excision is not the only way to get rid of the Moles. There are other things like laser treatment etc. So keep your options open if you are going to consult a plastic surgeon. The mode of treatment depends on the type of mole and its location. Also all five might not be removed at same sitting. So the cost might vary accordingly based on type and number of treatments. Also cannot commit on the price due to the regional difference. So consult the nearest skin specialist for the same.

Vitiligo - 7 Reasons Behind It!

MBBS, Diploma In Dermatology And Venerology And Leprosy (DDVL), Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)

Vitiligo - 7 Reasons Behind It!

Vitiligo is a skin disorder where white patches of depigmentation develop on the skin and keep enlarging. This disorder is long-term and continuous in nature. The patches appear due to the death of melanocytes within the skin. Melanocytes are skin pigment producing cells, which produce melanin. Vitiligo can affect the skin of several areas, including the eyes, hair and the portion inside the mouth.

Causes

The causes of this disease are as follows:

  1. Autoimmune disorders in which the immune system of a patient becomes over reactive, and the melanocytes are destroyed.
  2. This disease may also occur due to genetic oxidative stress imbalance.
  3. Stressful events may also lead to vitiligo.
  4. Exposure of the skin to several harmful chemicals may be a cause.
  5. Vitiligo may be hereditary and passed on from family members.

Symptoms

Vitiligo has only one major symptom. White, flat spots and patches develop on the surface of the skin. The earliest of these white patches appear on the parts of the body which are exposed to the sun continuously.

It starts off as a simple spot in the beginning and gradually, the spot starts getting pale and finally turns white. The patches have irregular shapes, and in some cases the edges get inflamed and are red in color. Itchiness is experienced in the affected areas. Symmetrical patches signify slow development of vitiligo.

The two major types of vitiligo are:

  • Non segmental vitiligo, which affects the back of the hand, the arms, knees, elbows, feet, mouth.
  • Segmental vitiligo, which is more stable than non segmental vitiligo but spreads faster. It usually affects areas of the skin, which are attached to nerves.

Treatment

The different methods of treatment for vitiligo are:

  • Phototherapy with UVB and UVA light: Exposing the affected area of the skin to UVB lamps is a popular cure for vitiligo. This treatment can be performed easily at home. UVA treatment incorporates taking of a drug which makes the skin more sensitive to ultraviolet light and then the skin is exposed to high doses of UVA light.
  • Skin Camouflage: Cosmetic creams and makeup can be used to camouflage affected areas of the skin. These topical creams are waterproof.
  • Depigmentation: Depigmentation is used to treat widespread areas affected by vitiligo. The skin color of the unaffected areas is reduced in order to match the affected areas. It is done using topical ointments.

Vitiligo is a skin disease, the major causes of which are still to be discovered. Proper care and treatment should be taken for skin areas affected by vitiligo. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.
