It will become normal. And don't worry about scars, its going to be a cosmetic surgery anyway. So there won't be any scars remaining. Go for it. All the best. Take care.:)

never say that you can't meditate. If you can't meditate, then you will have to make strong effort in doing so. To have the best results, you have to make the best effort. Do not expect miracles without contributing any effort. Regards.

I recently read that researchers believe certain foods might cure Alzheimer’s disease. Is this true? If so, which foods do this and how much would you have to consume to get the benefits?

DM - Neurology

As a neurologist, I can tell no food can cure alzheimers. It can be managed and progession can be slowed with medicines.

Hi, my wife is 47 years. She is having history of migraine for the last 20 years. It turned into depression. She took medicine duzela-40 for 8-9 months in 2011. After she recovered and stopped taking this medicine. Subsequently she was dignosed thiroyd. She is prescribed thyrox-25 and is taking this medicine since last 2012. Now in the month of feb 2015 she got stroke i. E. Vometing & giddiness and became semicountious. We called the doctor found that she was having high blood pressure at 154/100 at that moment. Doctor gave medicine and bp came down to normal within 4 hours. After that she started feeling problem in hearing from left ear and subsequently started problem in speaking. We consulted neurologyst who suggested mri of brain. The report says" grossly normal examination with incidental finding of small arachnoid cyst in the left sylvian region. The neurologyst started stalopapam-5, rejunex cd3 & ecosprin. She took the medicine since last 20 days her other problems subsided, however, the problem of speaking aggravated. We consulted neurosurgen also who said that the mri is normal and no need of surgery. The neurologyst again examined and immediately stopped stalopam-5, instead, suggested benadryl syrup and continued the other medicines. My wife is not able to speak properly. please suggest whether we are on right way .Thanks and regards.

I am from mumbai and require to ask one query about my dad. My dad have got a paralytic attack on his back head and even he is suffering from sponderlysis. He is not able to walk precisely and not able to live a life like common man as he is completely loosed his confidence level. Can you help me

Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. By paralytic attack, do you mean cva or some clot in brain types? I will advise seeing his condition to consult a neurophysician, some medications for strengthening like vitamin b12 supplementation and one for brain can be given but mainstay will be intensive physical therapy under supervision of a trained physiotherapist. Adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation to maintain bone strength should also be given because he is not mobilizing much which may make his bones osteoporotic. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Autism once occurred it remains for life. We can train these persons in self care, communication and socialisation with effort. She should get admitted in a special school for such kind if persons. You may make a group of similar kind of caregivers and learn from each other's experience.

Almost I have taken every kind of medicine for my problem now I'm having burning sensation in my left side of head every time. Not any medicine is providing me relief so far. Actually in 2003 My parents got divorced and I got depressed a lot. After that I was in relationship for about 7 year and on just before my marriage, our relation broke. This gave biggest ever shock to me and I was on physiatrist treatment for 6 months but problem was same. Now my mood remain down and dont feel happy at all, sometime feels pain in my heart also. Just want to spent time alone and I weep alone. Want to come out off all such situation.

Sir

I'm female 30 years old.
I'm suffering from Migraine and I'm on medication since 2003 but don't feel much effect...
Hello. My suggestion for you is - continue with the medicines you are on, but gradually and slowly reduce the frequency of use and then stop them completely later and side by side start with the homoeopathic medicines which I am going to advise you, so that they will take start taking the care of your problem. Start with 1 dose of Natrum Mur. 200 daily at 11am, Brahmi (Bacopa Monierri) Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water thrice a day and Kali Phos. 6x/ once at night for 15 days. After that report to me about intensity of your sufferings, will recommend you accordingly. For management part: do breathing exercises (like pranayam, anulom- vilum) early in the morning before sunrise, for relieving stress from your body! If possible, you can learn yoga from a qualified yoga-teacher/ instructor.

I am having pain in calf in leg from last 2 years and now from last 1 year I am having pain in my hand and lower back also and now the pain turn into burning and numbness. Done all diagnosis but all are ok and not able to find out the cause of pain.

DNB, MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Have you got your Vitamin D levels, serum uric acid, serum vitamin B12 levels and sugar done, if not they should be done too. Besides the pain in the leg may be due to a nerve compression in the back, that will have to be evaluated clinically and you may need an MRI of the spine if that is the case.
