Small children have a tendency to remain awake at night. This was their routine in mother's womb. Some children continue top have the same. Nevertheless other causes need to be ruled out as well.

Please ask your doctor to rule out gasto-esophageal reflux. That can cause persistent cough without cold.

It is difficult to tell how much this lotion is useful for the condition! I suppose whole body skin is not dry. If it is so consult either pediatrician or skin specialist. Otherwise you may use white petroleum jelly ie vasiline.

When to go for a Tonsil Surgery?

DNB (ENT), MS - ENT
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist
Ask Free Question
Tonsillitis is an affliction that plagues a fair share of people. Located at the back of your throat, tonsils are essentially two small glands, which contain white blood cells to defend your body against infection. However, on account of germ attacks, sometimes the tonsils get infected and this results in the swelling of the tonsil glands, which in turn causes sore throat and aligned maladies.

Tonsillitis may be cured through surgical procedures. However, an isolated case of the inflammation of the tonsils need not warrant a surgery. Tonsillectomy or the surgical method of curing tonsillitis is only recommended for extreme cases of tonsillitis. Only the frequent sufferers of tonsillitis take recourse to tonsillectomy for a durable and effective solution. Surgeries are only done on those who have had at least seven bouts of strep throats within a span of a year.

Tonsillectomies essentially involve surgical removal of the tonsils either using a scalpel or burning the tissues in the tonsils with the use of ultrasound vibrations. Usually performed under anesthesia, it is a fairly painless and a non-hazardous procedure. Tonsillectomies generally last for about an hour. However, the recovery period sometimes entail a few physical discomforts. Sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, pain in the jaws and ears are common symptoms of post tonsillectomy conditions. While there are palliative medicines available in the markets, adequate rest and proper diet speeds up the recovery.

Tonsillectomy generally leaves no side effects and the success rate of this surgery is quite heartening. Tonsillectomy has also known to cure several other associated health problems in the likes of breathing troubles, sleep apnea, bleeding of the tonsil glands or cancerous developments in the tonsil glands. That aside, tonsillectomy is only performed on acute cases of tonsillitis and often regarded as the lender of last resort when medicines stop according any relief to the patient.

Please keep regular record of her temperature and see if it's rising. You hv to watch for other symptoms like cough cold, vomiting, lethargy or rashes before proceeding with this temperature. I prefer symptomatic treatment and general care till the fever is low grade without any systemic involvement.

A bone marrow transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant, is the only cure for sickle cell anaemia. It involves replacing the affected bone marrow with bone marrow donated by someone without sickle cell anaemia. After the transplant, the new bone marrow will produce healthy blood cells.

All About Child Bedwetting

M.Ch - Paediatric Surgery, MNAMS (Membership of the National Academy) (General Surgery) , DNB (General Surgery), MBBS
Pediatrician
Ask Free Question
Bedwetting, also known as Nocturnal Enuresis, can be referred to as the unintended and involuntary urination during sleep. Enuresis, being a medical term, stands for wetting, whether during the day in full clothing or at night in bed. For young children and infants, urination is certainly involuntary. It is worth note that children who wet their beds are not actually being disobedient or lazy.
Child Bedwetting can be classified into two types- Primary and Secondary
Primary Bedwetting
It has been continuing since the phase of early childhood without a halt; which means the child bed-wets every night.
Causes:
The child is unable to hold urine over the length of the night.
The child cannot wake up in case his or her bladder is almost full..
The child has been taught poor toilet habits as he/she puts off urinating for hours during the day.
Secondary Bedwetting
Secondary bedwetting can be an indication of a repressed medical or emotional condition.
Causes:
Infection of the urinary tract can cause irritation and pain along with a strong urge to urinate.
People suffering from diabetes need to urinate frequently.
Any injury or abnormality of the nervous system can take a toll on the neurological balance that fundamentally controls urination
A peculiarity in the muscles or other organs that are involved in urination can be the reason behind bedwetting.
How to address the problem of bedwetting?
Motivational Therapy: This involves parents motivating their children to reinforce their sense of self-control over bed-wetting.
Moisture alarms that can detect wetness in the child s trousers while sleeping and sound an alarm bell to wake the child up.
Tricyclic anti-depressants that lower the amount of urine produced by the kidney.

Sorry, your information is vague and some inconsistent. If baby can sit well, she must on also turn (rolling). As she can sit well, she may not be suffering from hypotonia. It is necessary to know more information to arrive some conclusion.
