My mother is 52 years old having weight of around 95 kgs. She is having pain in her left leg on knee. She use to exercise a lot before. Bt having no relief she discontinued. Now she use to go fr walk in the morning for around an hour. And she does all her home work. Making food, cleaning the house. We are also consulting our family doctor. But there is no such relief in her legs. And now there is a slight pain in her right leg also. So please guide me a good treatment.

95 kg is lot of weight. How tall is she? by average height of indian women, she is already 30kg overweight at least. She needs to lose weight. That will prevent worsening of her knee pain. You may consult bariatric surgeon for the same.

I have noticed that I have tight hamstrings from 2 -3 years which have not started knee pain. Due to that knee pain my walking posture looks like going to side to side which looks bad. I am at the age of 15 only. please suggest me some exercise or treatment to get it normal?

I walk around 4 km everyday evening but now a days feeling heavyness on my lower parts of legs (below knee) while going up through staircase. Also I have started feeling mild pain on my knees. Please help.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

Hi I am 31 yrs old female and I have the pain in my calf and its unbearable at night while sleeping and even some time I suffer from cramps also in deep sleep please help.

This is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take caldikind plus 1 tab daily for 10days paracetamol 250mg tds x 3 days contact me after that. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. It may have to be further investigated.

I feel always tiered, restless, down, lazy, never feel fresh even when wake up in the morning, trying to avoid work, stiffness in whole body and my brain is also feels restless, confusing etc.

Hi, I am working in IT sector most of the time I used to sit at my seat working in computers. Due to this and wrong sitting position I get back pain sometimes it get to worst. I need physio therapy or treatment?

You must try to loose your weight first by avoiding carbohydrates, sugar fat etc. do massage if your knee at night daily with seasame oil. Also you may take Rhus Tix 30 thrice a day. It will be better if you may consult on line.

Hello I am 33 years old and weigh around 159 kgs. I am over weight. I drink occasionally. I mostly prefer to eat chicken hardly eat fish meat or vegetables. I have a sitting job and in addition I drive everyday for 3 4 hrs. I have started recently working out light weight stretches and all. I never was hospitalized for any kind of sickness. And besides pain in my joints wrist and feet I have never suffered from any illnesses. Wanted to ask you doctor I get severe pain in my joints be it wrists or legs special toe area. They come and go. I normally have dolo 650 mg for 3 4 days and the pain goes away but this time its a different story all together mostly I get pain in my left feet but this time its paining continuously from last 2 weeks in my right feet. I went to doctor and he prescribed me medicines specially pain killers and also got injected with dynapar twice in 3 days as per as doctor instruction still the pain keeps coming back and grows till its unbreakable. Mostly I am have problem in sleeping as my leg is paining very badly during the morning hours of sleep. My doctor has told me to consult a hematologist so Kindly sir help me out and suggest me what to do? Also let me know is it a serious issue. I have family history of gout and arthritis. Let me know thats the exact issue. I would highly appreciate it sir. My white cell count is high. Also is you would be kind enough to send me medicine prescription.

I am 23 years old I have problem in leg pain I am using moov and I have problem in nee so have to showing to doctor but not relief.

Nowadays leg pain is a very common complaint in young adults because of there daytoday activities. It can be due to various reasons any injury, muscle strain eg-sudden twist, overuse of muscle or due to deficiency of vit b12, calcium or uric acid. Many of the problem occurs for which we are not aware. After looking at your pain I would recommend you to go for investigations like vit d, b12 etc which is very common problem these days. In the meantime please take care of following things along with some home treatment to give you relief from your pain. Precautions: 1. Avoid prolong standing. 2. Avoid standing in the one position for a long time. 3. Get enough vit d from sun as vit d keep bones strong including spine, 4. Drink plenty of water to enhance your muscle strengthen. 5. While sleeping try to elevate your leg inorder to maintain blood circulation. 6. When sitting on chair in office or work place try to use small stool under your leg to avoid leg hanging as gravity applies direct pressure due to which it creates a tension in muscles and your legs start paining. Physio care: I would recommend you for some home treatment which will give you some percent of pain relief. Take rest- it doesn't mean a complete bed rest. Do not over exert your body. Work take rest and then work so that you do not feel tired and started paining. Treatment- 1. Make use of hot packs and ice packs alternately. Apply with the ratio of 3: 2 which means 3 min ice then 2 min heat. Ice has very good results in relieving pain than heat so combination of both gives you complete relax. As ice reduces pain and heat stimulates blood flow around the affected area. Entire session should be for 15-20 minutes twice a day. 2. Once done with the combination therapy ask someone to massage your painful area using fingers or thumb. Massage using kneading technique. Slightly press the thumb and start rotating as it helps to induce relaxation, relieve pain, and reduce levels of stress chemicals, such as cortisol and noradrenaline. It will give you pain relief for time being. 3. After massage apply any pain relieving ointment eg - volini or oraflame gel etc. Make sure not to do massage with the gel, it should not penetrate the body. Just a topical application of gel should be done. 4. Now start some stretching and strengthening exercises like hamstring sets, quadriceps sets, knee bending, calf stretching, heel toe raising, ankle dorsiflexion/plantarflexion stretch. Start with these exercises and then progress. While performing exercises if severe pain occurs then would recommend you to stop doing exercise. Massage or slightly rub the painful area and consult your near by physio to diagnose the actual cause of the pain as he/she can guide you proper exercise plan which will be beneficial for you after checking grade of your leg pain. If you did not understand or have any doubt, please inform. Get well soon.

Pain may right hand may be due to muscular pain, nerve pain and acidity. You need to take some precaution like avoid much strain to hand, get nutritious diet which help relieve in contipation.
