If your daughter complains of pain in anus, it may be due to hard stool. Give her fibrous food and plenty of water. If it is abdominal pain before passing stool, it in normal.

After DPT vaccination fever of my 3.5 months old baby weighing 5.9 kg raised to 101. Dr. Asked to give 2 ml of ibugesic plus as fever was not dropping with other paracetamol syrup. I have given him 2 ml but now I have read on internet Ibugesic plus is not safe for infants below 1 year. I am very much worried will it harm my baby as I have given him single dose.

Unfortunately what you have read is partially correct. Active ingredients of ibugesic plus are paracetamol and ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is licensed for use even in premature babies. Please discuss your concerns with your doctor.

It is a good thing that your boy is active and otherwise healthy. His weight may or may not be fine for his age. But most important thing is that he should regularly gain weight as per expected. This you can get in your vaccination card where you will find a growth chart.  you can plot his weight against her age at regular intervals like say 3 monthly and see whether he is gaining weight normally or not. Normally a kid of his age should gain approximately 2 kg per year.

I have 5 years old daughter. Every night she do bed wet 2-3 times. I tried some medicine but not any response Please guide me what I do?

dnb pediatrics
Pediatrician,
Hi. Most important thing to note is whether this is a problem which has been continuing since birth or whether it had stopped in between and started again. Management changes according to that. Moreover, most of the times there is not much to worry about till about 6 years of age as most of the times this problem reduces by itself.

I don't think any health drink will help you out. Weight of child depends on many factors like her birth weight, diet if taking excessive milk, built of parents .

Homeopath, Hyderabad
Bed wetting is common in children, there is nothing to worry it will be fine once he grows up but till then it's better to have medication. Homeopathy has very good medicines for this problem. Please use Causticum 200 potency, 6 pills twice daily for 1 week he will be fine.

MONITORING TO MANITAIN ASTHMA CONTROL
Ongoing monitoring is essential to maintain and establish the lowest step and dose of treatment to minimize cost and maximise safety.
Typically patient should be seen one to three months after initial assesment, and every three months thereafter. After an exacerbation.the patient should be assesed within two weeks to one month.
At every visit the patient inform the doctor following.
Use of short acting B2 agonist
Night awakening due to cough/breathlessness.
Interferance in day today activity by cough/breathless.
Any triger observed by patient.
Any concern regarding drug use.

On the basis of above information ,doctor can step up,step down or continue same treatment.
If asthma not controlled, then step treatment
If asthma partly controlled ,then consider stepping up treatment.
If asthma well controlled for three months ,then step down treatment is recommended. The goal is to maintain control with minimum treatment.

Monitoring is still reccomended even after control is achieved,as asthma is a variable disease, treatment has to be adjusted periodically.
