My skin is going very dark in sunlight in day how I get treat to my natural skin color?
Hello, you need to continuously protect your skin from the sun. De tan your skin by applying yogurt on affected areas and rinse after drying. Repeat this for a week. Before going out in sun, use a good sunscreen and keep applying after every two hours. Wear sun glasses, scarf/cap, and keep your skin covered. Also wear shoes or socks for your feet whenever you go in sun.

Home Remedies for Wrinkles

Home Remedies for Wrinkles

Wrinkles home remedies:

Youthful skin with no wrinkles and spots looks so beautiful and adorable. Everyone wants to have that kind of skin. Usually, as skin gets older with increase in age, it loosens and appears in the form of wrinkles on the skin surface. Apart from ageing, which is a major factor for causing wrinkles, there are other reasons also.

Wrinkles home remedies- exposure to sun, pollution, mental stress, genetic problem, lack of muscle movement (sedentary life) or hectic schedules, irregular sleeping habits, unhealthy skin, improper nutrition and diet can yet be another cause that can result into wrinkles. These reasons are the causes of early age wrinkles as well.

Wrinkles home remedies:

Wrinkles can be reduced by various medical treatments and certain homemade masks, but fully removing wrinkles is little difficult.

Here we will discuss how to get rid of wrinkles using home remedies:

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil has moisturizing and skin hydrating properties. For wrinkles, you need organic coconut oil. It can be applied directly or warm it slightly. Now massage this oil below the eye and other wrinkle affected areas. Keep it overnight and wash it the next day.

Repeat this process daily to get sooner results.

2. Olive oil

Olive oil has great antioxidant properties. Massaging this oil on the surface of the skin helps in rejuvinating and regenerating skin cells. It penetrates deep inside the skin, so that the skin remains moisturized for longer period of time.

You can also mix few drops of honey and glycerin to make the mask more effective. It will make your skin appearance brighter and youthful, thus reducing the wrinkles. Use this application daily to see better results.

3. Banana mask

Banana is full of vitamins and nutrients. To use it make a creamy texture of banana by mashing it in a bowl. Apply this on to your skin surface and let the skin absorb the banana extracts. After 30 minutes wash it off with normal water.

You can also use banana with papaya pulps to make the mask more effective. Apply it on the skin surface and keep for some time to allow the skin to absorb the nutrients. After 20 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water. You can do this 2-3 times a week for good results.

4. Aloevera

Aloe vera is popular for its anti fungal and antimicrobial properties. It helps the skin to be free from any external agent and hydrates the skin.

You can take out the extract from an aloevera leaf shaft or aloevera gel is available in the market readily. Apply the gel on the skin as such. The other way of using it is by mixing with egg white. The combination of both helps in revitalizing the skin. Do this 2 times a week to get better outcomes.

5. Fenugreek seeds

Fenugreek can be used in multiple ways, as it is a great antidote its leaves, seeds and oil, all can be used for betterment of skin and its healthiness. The paste of fenugreek leaves can be applied on the skin surface. It has antioxidant properties that aid to the rejuvination of the skin.

The seeds can be made use of by boiling in water. Use this water for cleaning face. Massaging fenugreek oil can help in letting the skin to get minerals and nutrients.

6. Honey

Honey is useful in maintaining the ph level of the skin. It diminishes the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. It can be applied directly on the skin. You can also use honey with ginger paste and apply it daily morning on the skin. This makes your skin feel fresh and youthful for the entire day.

There are different ways of utilising honey. Mix honey with milk and apply. It will make the skin smooth and free from wrinkles.
For added benefits you can use honey with lemon juice as well.

7. Papaya

Papaya consists of an enzyme called papain that goes inside the skin and provides nutrition. For its usage apply papaya pulp on the skin or make a mask of papaya with banana. Let the skin absorb the essence of it. You can also make a mask of papaya and honey. Apply it daily for better and quicker results.

8. Baking soda

Baking soda works as a superb scrub to exfoliate the skin. It removes all the impurities and dead cells that block the skin pores. It can be used by mixing it with water. Scrub on the affected regions with this paste do it for 1-2 minutes. Wash it off quickly. Apply moisturizer after following this procedure as baking soda can make the skin dry.

9. Yoghurt

Yoghurt, as delicious it sounds, the more useful it is to the skin. It consists of lactic acid that helps in cleaning the skin pores. Once the pore gets cleared up, it shrinks in size. This reduces the visibility of the wrinkles and fine lines.

For its application, make a paste of yoghurt and olive oil. Apply it on top of the skin surface. After 30 minutes, rinse it off. After 5-7 applications, you will find your skin looking more younger.

10. Green tea

Green tea is full with antioxidants, that help in cleansing the skin pores and burning the calories. Other than helping in weight loss, it is very good for the skin as it makes the skin free of wrinkles and fine lines.

You can boil green tea in water for some time. Add honey to it when it is hot, because honey will dissolve soon. Drink this type of green tea and make your skin glow.

PORES TREATMENT 1.Wash your face before you go to bed each night. Going to bed wearing still wearing makeup, as well as any dirt and debris that may have collected on your face during the day, is a sure way to clog your pores. If your pores routinely look large, this could be part of the problem. Get into the habit of cleansing your face each and every night so your pores will be less likely to get clogged. Use warm water, rather than hot or cold, so your skin will be less likely to get irritated. Pat your face dry with a soft towel. 2. Use a cleanser that doesn't irritate your skin. Many cleansers contain harsh ingredients that cause dry, irritated skin. When your pores are irritated, they look wider and more "open." In order to keep them closed, it's best to use a gentle cleanser that washes away dirt without causing your skin to dry out.( PREFERABLY USE CLEANSING MILK ( BAKSON) Choose a cleanser that's sulfate free. Sulfates are harsh cleansers that can strip the skin of its natural oils and leave it dry and itchy. Avoid using a cleanser with scrubbing beads on a daily basis. The beads could be irritating to your skin, and should only be used sparingly. 3. Try the oil cleansing method. It's becoming increasingly popular to replace soap with oil as a facial cleanser. It might sound counterintuitive to use oil to wash your face, but it's actually quite effective. The oil binds with your skin's natural oils and gently washes away dirt, sweat, and makeup without the need for harsh chemicals. Just smooth it over your skin and use a wet washcloth to wipe it off using a circular motion. Here are a few oil combinations to try out: For combination skin: Mix 1/2 teaspoon castor oil and 2 teaspoons olive oil. For dry skin: Mix 1/4 teaspoon castor oil and 2 teaspoons coconut or olive oil. 4. Splash your face with water in the morning. After getting a good night's sleep, it feels refreshing to splash your face with water. Since you don't wake up wearing makeup, there's no need to wash your face using a cleanser; in fact, it's better for your skin to give it a break and just use water. Pat your face dry with a soft towel. 5. Exfoliate every few days. Dead skin builds up on the surface of your skin, mixes with sweat and dirt, and ends up clogging pores. Exfoliating your skin regularly will prevent your pores from getting clogged so quickly. The result will be closed, small-looking pores as opposed to clogged pores that look big and open. One of the best ways to exfoliate is by simply using a washcloth. Wet your face and scrub it gently using circular motions. ( Preferably USE APRICOT SCRUB ( BAKSON) Facial scrubs are also good. Try a mixture of ground almonds and honey. 6. UNCLOGGING PORES (A) Do a steam treatment. This is a great way to open your pores so you can get rid of the small plugs of dead skin and dirt that are making them appear large and open. Heat a small pot of water until it begins to steam, then hold your face over it and drape a towel over your head. Let the steam bathe your face for three to five minutes, then rinse your face with cool water. Steaming your face opens up your pores, allowing them to become unclogged. Rinsing afterward gets rid of the debris, leaving your pores fresh and clean. Use cool water to close your pores. (B) Use a MUD PACK. MUD is a natural element that draws impurities out of the skin as it dries. When you do a MUD mask, dry mud is mixed with water to form a paste, which you smooth over your face. Let it dry completely, then rinse it away with cool water. • Many Mud packs are avaliable in stores but I will prefer MUD PACK ( BAKSON) 7.TONING AND MOISTURISING (A) Always rinse and tone when you're finished cleansing. Whether you steam or use a mask, always remember to rinse away the dirt when you're finished. Follow up by using a toner on your face. Toner helps restore your skin's pH balance after cleansing, giving it a youthful, glowing appearance and helping to close pores. (B) Avoid toners with chemicals that could inflame your skin. Beauty supply stores carry many different toners. Look for one that works with your skin type, but avoid toners with excess chemicals, perfumes, and dyes that could irritate or dry out your skin. These toners will do more harm than good, and your pores will end up looking larger instead of smaller. Avoid toners that contain alcohol, which can dry out the skin. Avoid toners that contain glycerin and fragrances, since these can cause allergic reactions. (C) Try apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is made from fermented apples, and is a gentle, natural toner for any type of skin. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of water, then use a cotton ball to apply it to your skin after rinsing. Let your skin dry, then moisturize it. (D) Try a honey mask to tone your skin. Plain, raw honey is an excellent toner for skin. Simply spread some on your face and let it sit for about ten minutes, then rinse it away with warm water. Your pores will tighten up and your face will feel fresh and youthful. (E) Finish your routine by moisturizing. Using a good face moisturizer( ALOVERA CREAM ( BAKSON) is key to keeping your pores closed, since dry skin can become irritated and lead to large-looking pores. Chose an alcohol-free moisturizer that doesn't contain perfumes and excess chemicals so you make sure you don't irritate your skin.

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Bangalore
Causes and Symptoms of Actinic Keratosis

Actinic keratosis is a medical condition in which there is a formation of rough scaly patch on your skin due to excess and prolonged exposure to the sun's rays. It is also known as solar keratosis and is commonly found in the areas of ears, lips, forearms, scalp and neck. They take years to develop and a small percentage of cases can even develop into skin cancer. Read on more to find out all about the different causes and symptoms of actinic keratosis.

Causes: The primary cause for actinic keratosis is due to frequent or intense exposure to the UV rays either from the sun or from tanning beds. It has been seen that although people of all ages can be affected by actinic keratosis, people who are above the age of 40, people who live in sunny climates, people who have a history of frequent or intense exposure to the sun or sunburn, people with a history of actinic keratosis and people with a weak immune system are more prone to be affected by actinic keratosis.

Symptoms: Actinic keratosis has distinct features and if you have developed such symptoms, then you are more than likely to be suffering from actinic keratosis.

  1. Existence of rough, scaly or dry patches of skin concentrated in certain parts of the body. These patches are usually less than 1 inch in diameter.
  2. They are usually flat and in some cases can be slightly raised in the form of a bump on the top most layer of the skin.
  3. In some instances, however, they can have the form of a hard wart like surface.
  4. These bumps or lesions can be pink, red, brown or flesh colored.
  5. Intense itching and burning can occur in the affected area.
  6. Actinic keratosis occurs primarily in the areas of the body, which have been exposed to the sun's rays the most. These include the face, ears, lips, back of the hands, forearms, scalp and neck.

As it is very difficult to differentiate between cancerous and noncancerous spots, it is recommended to consult a doctor and opt for treatment.

M.H.C.T.C

Hi, Lybrate,I differ as the Fibroadenoma is not a normal condition as opined by My professional colleague. Its a disease condition and its abnormal state. But by its size and progress over last 5 yrs. Its not harmful for your marriage and for you getting children after the marriage, as apprehended by you. As you are getting married in May, 2017,I would suggest you to go ahead with your marriage and plan the detailed treatment with Me thereafter. This is because no chance of malignant changes if non-operated, as more investigations would be required to rule out these complications, but this is not required in your case. If still you want to consult with Me, book appoinment through Lybrate web asap. There is no hurry to operate as its not increasing in size and as there is no immediate chance of getting .The pain complained by you could be treated with local doctors. If not please fix appointment with Me ASAP-if pain is not relieved. I would suggest you to consult Me by prior appointment -for Sms Chat/ and consults through Lybrate.

Dear Ms. lybrate-user, It is important to understand that the exact cause of dark circles has not been fully established, hence a perfect form of therapy doesn't really exist. Some possible causes include: Genetic, lack of sleep, extreme weight and volume loss from the area, lack of hydration, late nights, constant straining at laptop TV etc, vascularity based pigmentation. Having a balanced yet healthy lifestyle goes a long way. I agree most creams fail to deliver. There are certain cosmetic peels which may help which are done by us the dermatologists after a thorough assessment.
