You are most likely suffering from myofascial pains involving neck and shoulder muscles. You should consult a pain specialist and get intramuscular stimulation done. This therapy is safe and effective to relieve muscle spasm and stress. Meanwhile observe these tips to get relief: 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen round the clock for 5 days 2. Apply warm fomentation over affected areas. 3. Do neck and shoulder exercises once pain is relieved. Consult again for further queries.

In painful condition of back don't try to self stretch your muscles. It can be harmful for your back, as you told due to heavy lifting this problem arises so muscles are already in spasm or back strain. Heavy weight lifting with incorrect position of spine puts lots of pressure on back, muscles unable to cope with this increased load and protect themselves from major injury, they got tight or stiff. Firstly you relax your back and pain relief by taking physiotherapy treatment for one week after that back stretching exercises with advice of qualified physio.

Exercise is the only way out to release the compression on sciatic nerve. Lie down on back with extended knee and elbow joint. Raise your one leg keeping other leg parallel to the ground, hold for 25 sec, then slowly bring down. Do the same with opposite leg, and then with both legs.

Take rest for some time. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. Mr. lybrate-user you are suffering with extra pulmonary tuberculosis so in my opinion you should go to your dto of your district hhospital there you will get complete treatment with drug for 6 month.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Calcium rich foods are dairy products,milk,spinach,broccoli, all green leafy vegetables, figs,almonds and fortified cereals . U can take calcium suppliments too. I would suggest u to get her xray and vitamin d level done too. Hope this helps u.

Hello, You can take(if no drug allergy) Tablet Pantocid 40 Mg before food once a day for 2-3 days.. I am giving you some health tips to avoid acidity 1.Take small frequent meal kindly take 5-6 small meal in whole day 2.Take 6-8 glass of water in a day 4. Moderate physical activity regularly 5.avoid excessive tea, coffee 6. Do Not postpone Breakfast 7. Avoid excess citrus fruit 8. Avoid smoking and Alcohol 9. Regular Physical activities 10. Meditation For Neck pain Kindly follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Kindly go for cervical X ray AP and lateral and review with reports Consult me for Further Management

I am a 57 year. Old female, suffering from lumbar spondylosis. Early symptoms were pain, tingling, burning in the toes esp the right foot-toes. Loss of sensation in the third right foot toe. This has led to hallux valgus - bunion in the rt foot, which gives pain of and on. Undergoing homeo treatment, last 3 years-there is relief, but can, t stop treatment even for a few days. Please advise.

Hello , there are wonderful exercises which will help your symptoms in gradually bringing down. Just medication is not enough as your symptoms show that probably there could be some tear which is irritating your nerve which supplies the the leg. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then please inform Contact your family doctor or nearest hospital for emergency help.

I have pain in my left leg from two years. I consult orthopedic last year and I got relief but this year pain was again and he suggested MRI and the MRI report shows diffuse posture lateral 4 disc bulges at L5-s1 and L4-L5 levels causing anterior epidural space and lateral recess narrowing with thecal sac indentation and abutting traversing nerve fibre and exiting neural foramen stenosis and subtle L3-L4 diffuse posture lateral 4 disc bulge causing epidural space and lateral recess effacement.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Back. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation.

Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
