Read on for the five hottest dietary changes to take care of your health: 

  1. Eat more Omega-3 fatty acids: Omega-3 fatty acids is good for the heart. You can get Omega-3 by eating walnuts, fish and flax seeds. Omega-3 is also good for getting help with PMS and menopause symptoms. 
  2. Pile up on veggies: Daily recommended intake of veggies is three servings or more. How many of us reach this target? And then we complain of vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Veggies are our source for many important vitamins. So to tackle fatigue, muscle pains, low sex drive and vision problems, you can consciously eat more veggies the coming year. 
  3. Fibre is key to health: Fibre found in veggies, fruits and whole grains is crucial for the health of the gut. Sex is a basic human need. Until you get a sexual partner, its ok to masturbate. You should not feel guilty. Neither you should consider it an addiction. You won't require to masturbate as soon as you get married. Goodluck.

At the age of 24 you are suffering from knee pain which means it could be due to any internal injury like cartilage etc for which you are not aware about or pain may be due to deficiency of vit d or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Make use of hot packs and ice packs alternately. Apply with the ration of 3: 2 which means 3 min ice then 2 min heat. Ice has very good results in relieving pain than heat so combination of both gives you complete relax. As ice reduces pain and heat stimulates blood flow around the affected area. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. Relax for 5 minutes. 3. Do some knee (quads) isometrics atleast 10-15 times with the hold of 5 -10 seconds. Also you can do some knee strengthening in the mean time like - hams sets, knee bending and straitening, heel raising, bridging, squatting, lunge etc. Lot of exercises are there. The above treatment will give pain relief and discomfort. If possible please contact any physio who will study your daily routine, symptoms, degree of pain etc and accordingly will give you the best treatment plan. Along with it give you our pain relieving modalities like ift, us vacuum therapy for 10-12 days with mobilisation exercises. Good luck and get well soon.

It is likely hypothyroidism ,do no cabbage, broccoli, no radish, mustard, turnip, soya, no fatty / fast / spicy / processed food. Less tea / coffee. Take more water repeat test after one month and report on private chat for assessment.

I have been smoking since one year now I feel itching ,too much mucus, chest pain sometimes headaches less enthusiasm.
Don't worry, cut down on smoking or if possible stop it. Start detoxifying your body now - Exercise daily and take some detoxifying agents - Wheat Grass, Apple Cider Vinegar, GreenTea, Giloye Ras, Gooseberry Juice etc. Daily pranayam will help clear mucus within a week but make sure you don't smoke much again.

Dietary instruction for Vitiligo patients:
There are a few instructions for patients regarding their diet in vitiligo especially about what they should avoid. Following are some of our observations based on our clinical experience of treating a large number of patients (clinical observations):

Foods that are excessively sour should be avoided. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is known to inhibit the production of the melanin, the color pigment. Patients with vitiligo are suggested to refrain from citrus fruits, sour yogurt, sour pickles, etc.
Non-vegetarian food are better avoided, as much as possible, as they act as a foreign body to pigment cells.

It has been observed that industrial chemicals (such as mercury) could enter our body through sea food, especially fish; which better be avoided.

We have observed at Life Force certain fish leading to sudden aggravation of vitiligo in some patients.

Artificial colors used in various food preparations may better be reduced or avoided as far as possible.

There may not be enough scientific evidence to prove how these foods worsen leucoderma (vitiligo) but our clinical experience has shown that many patients report worsening of their vitiligo from these items and hence they are better avoided.

The author of this write up is of the opinion is that the since the process of melanin formation calls for physiological pH, in the process where tyrosinase converts tyrosine to dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) and then to dopaquinone, intake of sour food may work adversely, hence hampering the process of melanogenesis.

Exercise at least 45 minutes a day helps to develop muscles. Outdoor games and physical activities help to build muscles and regulate appetite. A walk before meals can be done to feel hunger. Take balanced nutritious foods. Do not miss any meal. Avoid junk food. Avoid carbonated beverages. Take iron rich food like pulses, millets, vegetables, milk, milk products, etc. Fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, vegetables provide high quality protein and calories and are also rich in iron. Home based foods are best. Salads are preferable as they are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers. Easily digestible fats like cream, butter, oils will help to increase the weight. Two feeds incorporating soups, juices or sweets in between meals improve the nutritive value of diet. Porridge, cutlets, desserts, potato chips, milk, malt, badam kheer are rich source of energy and protein. Sufficient water should be taken.
