I am suffering from ringworm it very irritating. I am very tired of it I have tried many thinks but it again comes. So tell some treatment of this. Which completely remove it. Please.

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Hello Lybrate User, Ringworm is a skin infection caused by a fungus. Conventional treatment for ringworm usually consists of antifungal medication-pills or creams. However, many ringworm (or Tinea) infections often recur and the usual medicines simply do not help the patient. In such cases, homeopathic remedies for ringworm can help. Ringworm of groin is also known as Tinea cruris or jock itch. It causes raised red sores with marked edges. This type of ringworm can spread to the buttocks, Inner thigh and external genitalia. The best natural Homeopathic medicines for fungal infection are Thuja, Sepia and Graphites. Thuja is of great help in treating fungal infection on dry and very sensitive skin. Sepia is the best Homeopathic remedy for fungal infection appearing every spring season. Graphites is a very beneficial Homeopathic medicine for treating recurrent episodes of fungal infection. The natural Homeopathic remedies do not suppress fungal infection; these rather work to root out the underlying cause of fungal infections. Take care.

She has unwanted hair on chin n chest like male, sir/Madam please suggest about treatment.

She has unwanted hair on chin n chest like male, sir/Madam please suggest about treatment.
She is having Hirusitism. It is the abnormal hair growth in women which occurs on the face, chest, abdomen, back, thumbs and toes. It is usually related to an increase in androgens, or male hormones. It concerns the areas which are sensitive for male hormones. In hirsutism there is a presence of excessive terminal hair in androgen-dependent areas of a woman's body. It's often caused by genes, hormones (PCOD, Cushing syndrome etc. ), or medication. If she has more facial or body hair than you want, there are a number of ways you can remove it like Laser, Electrolysis, chemical hair removal, waxing, bleaching and shaving. In contrast to all these painful and expensive procedures homeopathic magical doses can combat hirsutism effectively. A well selected homeopathy remedy has the capacity to correct hormonal imbalance by stimulating the glands to secrete various hormones in the required manner. Also Good dietary and nutrition decisions can lead to improvement in hirsutism. Eating antioxidant foods such as blueberries, cherries, tomatoes, squash and bell peppers are general health decisions that may help to balance the body's hormonal system and bring symptoms like hirsutism back in line. Refined foods, such as white breads, pastas and sugar should be avoided. Consult online for the homeopathic medicines. Your feedback matters. Thank-you.

Hair oil and shampoo are helpful to condition the scalp. Hair roots are situated inside the scalp and they get nutrition through blood. Hair is made up of minerals, protein and iron. Diet rich in protein like sprouts, beans, paneer, soya is good for hair. Green leafy vegetables are good source of iron. Drinking 3 lit of water/day is good for hair. Oil the scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week. Consult trichologist for further treatment.

BHMS
Homeopath, Chennai
I am 23years male n at dis mere age m having lot of GREY HAIRS. What to do?
How to get over it?
Medical conditions leading to gray hair- 1. Thyroid disease: an underactive or overactive thyroid can affect the melanin production in the hair which can cause premature greying 2. B12 deficiency: deficiency of b12 has also been linked to premature greying of hair. 3. Vitiligo: vitiligo is a disease that is caused when the pigment producing cells in your skin and hair are damaged. Once the cells in your scalp are damaged, melanin production is reduced and hair begins to turn grey. First we have to rule out any such condition, for permanent cure you can go for constitutional homoeopathic treatment which will take your detailed symptoms into account.

4 Easy Steps To Get Rid Of Dandruff!

MBBS, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)
Dermatologist, Delhi
4 Easy Steps To Get Rid Of Dandruff!

Dandruff is not a major health concern but it can affect your self-confidence and self-image. This condition is most often the result of a dry scalp or type of dermatitis. It could also be caused by a yeast infection or eczema. Common forms of treatment for dandruff include medicated shampoos that fight the fungus or slow down the ageing of skin cells on the scalp. Some ways of treating excessive dandruff are:

  1. Neem- Neem is renowned for its anti-fungal properties that help in the treatment of dandruff. It is also well known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Neem can be used on its own by applying a paste of boiled neem leaves on your scalp or used as a hair mask made of dried and crushed neem leaves and olive oil. Your scalp may itch a little on the application of this paste but this is temporary.

  2. Coconut and Honey Scrub- Coconut helps preserve proteins in the hair and lessens dandruff. Honey is also used to treat dandruff as it has well known anti-microbial properties. To benefit from this, apply and massage a mixture of 2 teaspoons of honey or coconut oil and 3 teaspoons of yogurt to your scalp for about 10 minutes before washing your hair. Wait for about half an hour before rinsing it out. Dry with a towel and massage a few drops of coconut oil into the scalp. However, do not rinse your hair more than twice with shampoo while washing off the paste as it can strip your hair of its moisture.

  3. Banana and Apple Cider Vinegar- Bananas are a good source of vitamin B that helps improve circulation and keeps skin healthy. Apple cider is also a known fungicide that helps treat dandruff. If you suffer from acute dandruff, massage a paste of 1 whole banana and 2 cups of apple cider vinegar into your scalp and leave for 20 minutes on a daily basis for a week. Once dandruff reduces, you can apply the paste once a week.

  4. Yogurt- Yogurt is rich in healthy bacteria that helps reduce yeast in the body and prevents the scaling of dead skin cells. To use yogurt as a form of treatment for dandruff, apply a cup of fresh yogurt to the scalp and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing off. You could also add two spoons of freshly ground pepper to the yogurt as pepper also has antifungal properties. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

I am using my mobile more than 10 hrs a day .i got dark circles around my eyes .how to get rid of these. Dark rim.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
I am using my mobile more than 10 hrs a day .i got dark circles around my eyes .how to get rid of these. Dark rim.
Hello, Common reasons for dark circle are aging, genetics, nutritional deficiency (of vitamin A, C, K, E), sleep deprivation, worm-infestation, anemia, smoking & drinking, dehydration, sun exposure, allergies, stress/ tension and hormonal changes. Dark circles are linked to anemia, and liver diseases. Now a days, eyestrain due to excessive use of computer/ laptop/ smartphone also causes dark circles around eyes. So, in case of dark circles which are there due to some underlying cause can be get rid rid of once the causative factor is rectified. But the dark circles which are inherited from our genes can't be removed completely, to some extent can make slightly better. Diet and Management: Always take a balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetable, dairy products and all types of fruits to keep your body healthy. It is advisable to have at least 10-12 glasses of water and include fresh fruit daily. It is also advisable to restrict the intake of caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, alcohol and other caffeinated drinks as it aggravates dehydration. Take enough of 7-8 hrs. Of sleep. Avoid taking stress/ tension. Stay away from alcohol and smoke. Do daily exercising regularly as it increases oxygen carrying capacity of the cells and tissues. Wear sunglasses also when you’re out in the sun to prevent you from squinting and to protect your eyes. Give small frequent breaks in between while working on computer/ laptop or while using a smartphone. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines – Schwabe's Cina 1M/ one dose at night for 10 days; Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both twice daily for 20 days. Use Bakson's Under eye cream twice daily. Apply Bakson’s Suncare sunscreen 15-20 minutes before going under the sunlight. Revert me there after.

Hi, Start taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises, it will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face!! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Make a paste of 'Kasturi Manjal' (wild turmeric) with rose petals, saffron and raw milk which is very effective.

I am facing excessive hairfall even I am taking healthy food and having regular massage of scalp.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
I am facing excessive hairfall even I am taking healthy food and having
 regular massage of scalp.
Is your hair loss accompanied with greying of hair and have they become very thin? your hair needs a very high protein well-rounded diet. Hair and nails are the last organs to get nutrition in the body, hence only if all the organs get sufficient nutrition and proteins, only then the remaining nutrition would be used for hairs. A strand of hair is composed of mostly protein, which means your hair needs protein to grow. Hence a therapeutic diet prescribed by a registered dietitian can help a lot in hair growth. Besides diet excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are conclusively known to retard hair growth and promote hair loss. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients, which can dry out the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc take a toll on the health of your hair. - avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. - excessive exposure to the sun, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minox. That are proven to help in hair growth and repair.
