I have pain on my knee join on foot and sever headache pliz suggest for immediate relief.
Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

The reason you are unable to sit for anywhere is due to the fact that along with back pain few people suffer from a condition called Coccydynia. The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain.

Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

The reason is that its a kind of passive exercise and we never nurture our joints with oil prior or after Tread mill...Do apply warm Sesame oil to whole body (possibly joints atleast) called Abhyang in Ayurved followed by warm water bath..This Abhyang not only is good for joints but also for skin and prevents early ageing...As u know that Skin is d largest organ of d body...sadly though v we minimally use skin as a drug delivery route...

Hello,you can take homoeopathic medicines 1.Ruta 30 (4 drops in little amount of water) thrice a day for a week. 2.Rhus Tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and revert. Keep a gap of 15-20 minutes in both the medicines.

In such a young age backache is showing poor lifestyle, poor diet or may be due to injury. Try to rule out the cause. Panchkarma kati vasti is good option for good relif.

I' m 33 male, i' ve been having pain only on the right side on the back, at the base of the spine, could it be slip disk as it is not present on the left side?

It could be due to slip disc or low vitamin d levels. Even if u have slip disc it not very severe as the pain is not going down the leg. Get your vitamin d levels done (blood test) fasting and do spinal extension exercises (physiotherapist can teach you) 20 mins 3 times a day. Revert back with reports.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hi lybrate-user. See backpain is a something which is becoming epidemic nowadays. You need to be causious. Use support for back while working. Driving. You should be fit at your age. You must be working long long hours and sitting under stress without any spine support. Use cushions regularly. I myself have such a busy schedule I do not heed to my spine and at nite the pain takes its toll. So please be careful. If its excrutiating use analgesics like paracetamol 1000 mg stat or diclofenac but these have sideeffevts too. So best is prevention.

Please do rule out nerve conduction study and muscle study for possible impingement in nerve root due to diabetic neuropathy conditions for pain do take ift physiotherapy treatment for 10 days regularly.

Dear lybrate-user the pain is not related to surgery. Gym exercises can give some pain which is relieved with ice therapy. If pain persists then see a doctor. The urine color is naturally yellow. Still to clear your doubt you can get urine examination done in Lab.

Patient needs to be examined in detail & be investigated. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Hi if you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know in a week time how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
