Hello there, ayurvedic treatment is the only remedy for your Arthritis. Pain killer Tablets are not the treatment for arthritis. Pain killer will give you only temporary relief not permanent result. Ayurvedic panchkarm therapy, medicines, Yoga exercises will cure arthritis. If you are obese, then you need to lose weight. Avoid Chana, Rajma, Fried food, heavy meals. According to Ayurveda Arthritis is a Vat disease so avoid air-condition, direct use of fan. You will definitely get positive result.

But i cant eat that forever.Need to understand the real reason behind that and cure that. Being suffering for 4 years in parts. Thanks.

You seem to be short of sleep. Eat your food at regular intervals. Finish your dinner atleast 2 hours before go to sleep. Your posture counts more for good health. Do neck exercise after getting up up in the morning by moving up and down, moving sideways left and right, rotate left to right and right to left circularly. Massage with your thumbs from the mid of your shoulder blade towards the neck upwards upto the level of lower part of the ears. By using water or oil. Move only upwards and not dowan wards. You will be alright within 4 days.

I am 23 yr old. I have thigh ache and backache for 3 years. It is dangerous in winter season. Its very difficult to lift even a single step and when I sleep it is so painful.

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Regular intake of painkillers are harmful. They have only palliative effect. Exercise is the only way out to releave the pain. There are some exercises given on my health tips or u can get them on any health book or net. You can consult privately for homoeopathic medicines which are effective without side effects.

Self suffering from frozen shoulder since a year. Ultrasound therapy has also been made at a renowned hospital near my home. Free hand exercise has also continuing as suggested by an orthopedic doctor. But still pain is existing in my arms upto wrist, shoulder and upper back portion of my body. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a condition in which shoulder movements get progressively decreased, it is commonly associated with diabetes although association with other conditions is also known. Treatment includes intensive physical therapy, short course anti inflammatory medications according to one's suitability and maintenance of calcium/ vitamin d metabolism. Normally pain subsides over period of time, ultrasound may not help much but regular exercises meant for this condition are helpful. Only medical advice if you do not want injections is to take a short course of anti inflammatory / analgesic medication but mainstay will remain physical therapy and sometimes injections. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

The fracture should be set right & immobilised.(Either by plaster or by surgery). A normal balanced diet is good enough for fracture healing.

Hello. Post-delivery backache is very common and as you mentioned about epidural injection which can add to it. Apart from that deficiency of calcium is also responsible for backache, so start taking calcium and iron tablets once you consult your gynaecologist. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight (even while sitting or standing), avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Always select a chair with proper back support and hand-rest. (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Apart from these, stress could be the major cause of pains! Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Sit straight with a back-rest or back-support. -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

It is called as rheumatic arthritis. If your pain is more in the distal joints, ie. In the upper limbs if the pain is present in the fingers/wrist and in the lower limbs it the pain is present in the toes/ ankle, then we shall definitely say it is rheumatic arthritis. Wear elbow brace and wrist brace which will make her to feel warm and that will make the joints become firm. Hot water fermentation will help.

Dear Siddharth, namaskar, Spondylitis does not occur at this age....Sprain needs an injury to occur.....Your problem of pain in cold weather seems to be myalgia...Do hot fomentation and protect urself from cold by a muflar like cloth... Strengthen your muscles by doing Cervical spine exercises round the year OR at least when u don't have pain.... You will settle gradually... take care.

Dear Stanly, Because you had ligament tear you need to be cautious throughout your life to avoid any high impact weight bearing activites like jumping, running otherwisw it will precipitate and aggravate your pain. Swelling around your ankle means inflammation and for that you can go for some rest of the ankle joint, ice massage and you can use crepe bandage for some time to immobilise the joint. can keep you ankle in elevated position while sleeping or while resting. Do write to me if needed any further help.
