I am 17 years old boy. I have pain in my shoulders from last 3-4 days. I study late night sitting on chair. I have tried lots of medicine but no held. Please suggest something.

Merrithew Stott Pilates, Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Goodevening I have understood your problem. You must first of all try and avoid sitting for long hours. A good posture will help a lot to increase your spine stability which in turn will improve your sitting posture. I would like you to correct it by sitting straight not bending fowrad too much. Do take a feww breaks inbetween while your at your study time. Do a couple of stretches for your shoulder and your back. Your very young and you need to take immediate care as you reach your late 20s you should not have further complications. `

But my concern is that this happens only when I am in Office, on weekends and holidays when I am at home none of the above problems are faced by me. Why is it so? What to do?

My brother gets acute pain around his left ankle and some pain around his right ankle when he walks for about 15 minutes. The pain subsides on resting for 5-10 minutes. There is no pain when resting. Our doctor advised a blood circulation test to check if it's a case of peripheral artery disease. The test was carried out in his right leg only and blood circulation was found to be normal. Does this mean that blood circulation in his left leg would also be OK given that the test was carried only on his right leg?

Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do ask for detailed treatment plan.
