Hi , the bad news is that fat is not location specific and cannot automatically dissolved' in said areas. If you find products that claim otherwise, know that you're being hoodwinked! the good news is that clean eating and consistent workouts would help mobilize your overall fat stores. Few strategies you could employ: 1. Eliminate all processed and junk food 2. Keep a minimal 2 hour gap between your dinner time and bedtime to allow optimal digestion 3. Don't eat in front of the television as this could very easily lead to overeating 4. Workout 3 days/week or more for 45-60 minutes 5. Hello I am 23 years old female. I look healthy but inside I am so weak. After whole day work my legs soo paining. If I do lots of work and do not rest then I feel restless. Some time my knee pain a lot. If I do not eat in the morning at 11'o clock then my stomach pain a lot. I have also a gas problem. I feel so tired in the night and sleeping time is not proper please advise me what to do.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things. To get rid from gas problem: take pudina (mint) and coriander leaves grind it and eat one teaspoon of it daily 2 times in a day. You can make chutney of it. Mint and corriander has enzymes that improve your digestion. * do pavanmuktasan daily for 5 minutes under the supervision of yoga expert.

Fibers are the carbohydrates and are the indigestible part of the food.They are actually not digestible, but help a lot in digestion.They are derived from plants and offer a lot of health benefits. They make our body light and fit and is commonly known as roughage.

What are the advantages of having fiber in your diet?

Other health benefits of fiber includes reducing the incidence of heart disease, lowering cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose levels and inflammation and even weight loss. Fiber can help with weight loss because it creates a fullness within your intestine, which aids you in eating less.

Fiber is of two types:

  1. Insoluble fiber: It does not dissolves in water. It is the bulky fiber that helps in preventing constipation and is found in whole grains, wheat cereals and vegetables such as carrots, celery and tomatoes.

  2. Soluble fiber: They dissolves in water and help in controlling the blood sugar level and reduce cholesterol. Good sources include barley, oatmeal, beans, nuts, and fruits, such as apples, berries, citrus fruits, and pears.

What are the health benefits?

  1. Digestive health: Let’s get this one out of the way first. Dietary fiber normalizes bowel movements by bulking up stools and making them easier to pass.
  2. Heart disease: Fiber, particularly soluble fiber, is an important element of any heart-healthy diet. Eating a diet high in fiber can improve cholesterol levels by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol.
  3. Diabetes: A diet high in fiber particularly insoluble fiber from cereals can lower your risk for type 2 diabetes. If you already have diabetes, eating soluble fiber can slow the absorption of sugar and improve your blood sugar levels.
  4. Cancer: There is some research that suggests eating a high-fiber diet can help prevent colorectal cancer, although the evidence is not yet conclusive.
  5. Skin health: When yeast and fungus are excreted through the skin, they can trigger outbreaks of acne. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

It has been around 6-7 months that I started going to gym. I was advised by my instructor to take whey protein. Is it advisable to take? N is there any steroids or side effects of taking it?

Before having any kind of supplement you should have knowledge about the product. Try to include more protein in your diet and avoid supplements if it not required. Get your kidney functional tests done first and then realize do you really need it. Because requirement of supplement occurs when you are doing a heavy workout and not able to meet your protein requirements by natural diet. If you not doing a heavy workout and you do not need a muscle gain then avoid it. Otherwise collect all the details about the purity of supplement before buying any.

You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your bmi, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given if you ask privately. May also need to do some tests. In brief, weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/4 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity.

For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong , chana , Dal , rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit

Drink plenty of water 5. Take bland diet,avoid spicy, oily, junk saturated fat and cholesterol rich diet. Take plenty of green leafy vegetables, Fruits , 6.Stop smoking and consumption of alcohol, Tobacco, 7.Avoid stress, anxiety, physical and mental exertion 8.Do Yoga, Meditation, and deep breathing exercise9. Follow the diet plan have 1 glass of milk with 2 egg white for breakfast. Regular breakfast items like upma, poha, dosa will also do. @11 am have one vegetable soup. @ lunch 3 chapati 1 bowl daal vegetable rice and 1 glass of buttermilk. @ 4 pm one fist of dryfruits @7 pm any seasonal fruit @9 pm dinner supplement chyavanparsha ashwangadh avaleha narsimha rasayana.

(1) eat more food more oftenly (2) eat more whole cream milk or milk shake (3) add calorie dense foods like sweet potato, potato, avocado, almond, nuts, banana etc (4) dairy product like cheese, butter, ghee, paneer, cream (5) eat more protein like fish, egg, mushroom, chicken, tofu, seafood, peanuts etc (6) use weight gainer nutritional supplement (7) add cream with tea/coffee (8) eat more fruits, vegetables (9) regular exercise to stay fit and healthy (10) drink water 3 lit/day but not during meals. Do you have other symptoms like tiredness, back pain, headache or as simple as hair fall? this people have very less muscles which is directly proportional to their protein intake. Generally they have lot of nutritional deficiencies, so first goal should be to deal with the nutrient deficit. To gain weight in healthy way, consume balanced diet with more protein rich foods to build muscles. Since your weight is less, the amount of protein you have to take is 1 to 1.25 gm protein / kg of ideal weight. You have to take supplements my dear, you can not get all the nutrients from food now. Soil has become very poor and missing in many nutrients. You can include sprouts, full cream milk & milk products, cheese, paneer frequently, peanut butter etc in your diet. For customised diet plan many things should be considered including dealing with the deficiencies with food supplements - as diet is missing so many important nutrients.
