Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform

Lybrate-user, back pain is very common in people who have a prolonged sitting job. Take care of yoir sitting posture. Use a back rest to support your back. Sit straight with placing pillows on the back of the chair. Use a chair that has a back support till the neck. Take frequent breaks to do some back stretching. Before going to bed apply some pain reliving gel/ oil followed by a hot pack to feel a little better for the next day.

I have been jogging for some time. The lower right side of my thighs, just above my knees have become very stiff. Even when I take rest for a few days it does not become soft. Please advise.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your description indicates that you are having trouble with your hamstrings. This could have happened because your hamstrings are not conditioned to take the kind of workload your jogging and other activities causes. Advice for next 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning when pain subsides. - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. Dear Lybrate user, -From your symptoms you are suffering from hyperacidity -follow some dietary changes & exercise programme for relief -completely avoid fried, spicy & junk food, restrict tea, coffee to 1-2 cups/day, drink it after having biscuits or some snack, have cold milk 2-3 times a day, also avoid alcohol, chew your food well, do not skip any meal, have meals on time, do not lye down immediately after meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime -do aerobic exercises like walking for 30 min, also do yoga for good digestion -have 8-10 glasses of water per day -carry on with medication, if not much relief the get upper GI endoscopy done for proper diagnosis, consult a gastroenterologist.

Hi you can start physiotherapy treatment to strengthen the muscles around the knee joint. Meanwhile apply cold pack for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days. Do reply for private consultation and detailed treatment plan wishing you a good health.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # change sleeping position. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same, you need specific treatment plan according to your symptoms.

Good evening lybrate-user from your question I have understood that your leg pain must be due a muscle pull. What I would advice you to do is the following > start with cold water fermentation for about 20 minutes. > then tie a crape bandage to your leg and elevate your leg for 1 hour. > then if your pain still does not go you could take a session of 10 days of ift therapy or ultrasound therapy (physio treatments) for your leg. This would definately help you. Also visit a ortho doctor and get the right type of pain killers.

Hello lybrate user according to Ayurveda Vata vikriti is the main factor for pain.... Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation . 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day.. Diet- Avoid fermented food...Junk food....potato rice....sleep well...

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
