You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias ( electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. I am 30 years old and a bit obese I weigh nearly 100 kilos. But I don't feel any issue with walking or running short distances. Now a days I am seeing a strange issue my legs will become swollen by evening and I feel my leg is aching. I will have to sleep for half an hour for getting reduction in symptoms. I am a software engineer. And do 5 to 10 mins walk every hour. Please help me regarding this thanks in advance.

Leg exercise kijiye daily I hope you will fit and fine………………………………………………. Basic Leg Exercises The following Basic Leg Exercises should generally be performed 1 - 3 times per week provided they do not cause or increase pain. Ideally they should not be performed on consecutive days, to allow muscle recovery. As your strength improves, the exercises can be progressed by gradually increasing the repetitions, number of sets or resistance of the leg exercises provided they do not cause or increase pain. Swiss Ball Squats Begin this leg exercise in standing with your feet shoulder width apart, your feet facing forwards and a Swiss Ball placed between a wall and your back (figure 1). Slowly perform a squat, keeping your back straight. Your knees should be in line with your middle toes and should not move forward past your toes. Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good posture throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions provided the exercise is pain free Lunges Begin this leg exercise standing with your back straight in the position demonstrated (figure 2). Slowly lower your body until your front knee is at a right angle. Keep your front knee in line with your middle toe and your feet facing forward. Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good posture throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions provided the exercise is pain free Hip Abduction Sidelying Begin this leg exercise lying on your side in the position demonstrated (figure 3). Keeping your back and knee straight and foot facing forwards, slowly take your leg upwards tightening the muscles at the side of your thigh / hip (abductors). Hold for 2 seconds and then return to the starting position. Perform 1 – 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each leg provided the exercise is pain free. This exercise can be progressed by adding an ankle weight to your ankle for increased resistance.

it may be due to spondylosis and knee arthritis. do back exercises, avoid forward bending. apply volini gel and do warm fomentation. if not ok in 3 weeks, do MRI .

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises.

Hi lybrate user, I believe you have osteoarthritis which is degenerative /ageing process. Important is to grade osteoarthritis, if it is of early grade, many things can be done like viscosupplementation, prp /stem cell therapy, cortisone injection, genicular nerve rfa with strengthening of knee supporting structure. But if it is of late 3 or 4 knee replacement is best option than taking pain killers for pain suppression. Hope it helps.

We also suggest patients to do shoulder mobilization exercises ie. general shoulder movements/neck movements which will help you to improve the blood circulation.
