Hello lybrate-user. For proper cleanling you should know proper brushing technique. For this you can ask any dentist. They will give you demo. And start using dental floss to take out any remaining food particles inbetween two teeth. Use mouthwash twice daily to keep your mouth germ free and add freshness. Thank you.

Post graduate certificate course of implantogy, BDS
Dentist,
Hi dr I am 23 year old, when I brush my teeth bleed automatically what should I do for it,
This may be because of inflammation of gums. Inflammation occurs because of food debris deposited around the tooth in gum. This condition is called as gingivitis. Treatment of this is deep cleaning of your gums & teeth. That also called as scaling. This can be done in dentist's clinic. So please visit to a dentist.

What is the permanent cure for peridontis. I've few loose teeth and the dentist I approached did flap surgery. Situation was fine for two years and after that they started moving again.

Dentist, Hyderabad
Maitaince of oral hygiene is the only permanent treatment coz flap surgery removes the infected granulation tissue around the bone to rejuvinate the gums with new blood circulation but if you don't maintain than the recurrance of the previous treatment.

All About Dental Implants

All About Dental Implants

Dental implants are surgical fixtures that are inserted into the jawbone to allow fusing over a span of few months. The implant works as a root replacement for a missing tooth. Eventually, this artificially placed tooth root helps in holding the bridge (partial denture) or the replacement tooth firmly. Dental implants are even designed to match your natural teeth, rendering a strong foundation to both the removable and the fixed replacement teeth.

Are you a candidate for Dental Implants?

Dental implants are used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or all of the teeth. The goal of teeth replacement is to restore function as well as esthetics.

When it comes to tooth replacement, dental implants is of the three options available. Deciding on which option to choose depends on many factors. Specifically for dental implants, these factors include:

  • location of missing tooth or teeth,

  • quantity and quality of the jawbone where the dental implant is to be placed,

  • health of the patient,

  • cost,

  • patient preference.

A dental surgeon examines the area to be considered for the dental implant and makes a clinical assessment of whether the patient is a good candidate for a dental implant.

Here are a few advantages of getting a dental implant done:

  1. Improved Appearance: Dental implants provide an almost natural look to the teeth. Since they are designed in a way to amalgamate with your bone, they subsequently become permanent.

  2. Enhanced Speech: Dental implants let you speak effortlessly and without the scare of your teeth slipping inside the mouth and meddling with your speech; which is otherwise a common phenomenon with ill-fitted dentures.

  3. More Comfort: Since the implants become a part of you, they do away with the hassles accompanying removable dentures.

  4. Easier Eating: Sliding dentures might pose difficulty while chewing. Dental implants help you with an almost painless eating experience owing to the fact that they function just the way your original teeth would.

  5. Improved Oral Health: There is no need of reduction or alteration of the surrounding teeth in order to support the implants. Hence most of the teeth are left just as they are, improving one’s oral hygiene.

  6. Durability: Implants are tough and resistant, and can last a lifetime if taken proper care of.

  7. Convenience: Dental implants spare one the inconvenience that is so common with removable dentures and at the time of fixing them to their place with messy adhesives.

Healthy gums and strong jaw bones are the only two requisites for a dental implant. Maintaining good oral hygiene and visiting or consult a dentist regularly should be at the top of the priority list after getting the implants done. However, one needs to put in the same amount and quality of care (read brushing and flossing) to the dental implants as one would’ve had to his/her original teeth. A thorough rinse with the help of an antibacterial mouth wash is a must along with periodic dental check-ups.

I am suffering from mouth ulcers pain. Which medicine to take relieving from the mouth ulcers.
Hi lybrate-user sorry to know ure suffering from ulcers mouth ulcers can vary is size, shape and number. Mouth ulcers are self limiting, which means they heal naturally by themselves. The medications are only to ease the pain and burning sensation during the course of the healing. Please do not self prescribe any medications as it might at times delay the healing of the ulcer. Please visit the dentist to know exactly the type of the ulcer and its treatment. To ease the pain you cud by a topical anaesthetic gel and apply it before eating anything spicy. Try to reduce the stress, avoid long exposure to sunlight, avoid carbonated drinks and citrus fruits and juices containing citric acid, avoid lemon with food and keep urself hydrated. Please visit the dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment.

I have so many cavities in my teeth I brush daily but this cavity problem is occur with mi. please tell me what can I...
Cavity is slow process and it is multifactor dependent. Only brushing teeth may not help you. Other factors like sweet intake, smoking, low water intake, digestive system disorder, low saliva ph, weak tooth structure also make you prone for cavities. Therefore, visit your dentist and get all teeth treatment by filling or rct as required. Then follow cavity prevention program advised by your dentist.
