My teeth hurt for a long time. I can not eat hot food. When I eat the hot food then teeth sirasira. What should I do ...
If discomfort lasts only moments, sensitivity generally does not signal a serious problem. It may be caused by; a small area of decay in a tooth, a loose filling or an exposed root surface resulting from gum recession and possibly toothbrush abrasion. This sensitivity should last no longer then a few days; however, if decay has recently been removed or a filling or crown recently has been placed, a tooth may take a week or two to settle. Mild pain relievers like acetaminophen, aspirin or ibuprofen should help. If the pain persists or worsens, see your dentist for root canal treatment.

Use of oil pulling

BDS
Dentist, Thanjavur
Oil pulling, a popular folk remedy can be useful for whiter teeth and as a flossing agent. Slosh your mouth with coconut, sunflower or sesame oil for 15 minutes and then spit it out. It lubricates the gums and provides that extra shine to your teeth.

Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Kindly get scaling and polishing done and use mouthwash twice daily for 15 days. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath. Kindly brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

I am 26 year old girl, right side wisdom tooth surgery done with stitches on 2014 December, 10 months passed still I am not able to eat even soft items, and left side upper tooth problem have since 5-6 months when ever I chew food when up and down tooth get connect while chewing that time suddenly get pain like stone are there in food otherwise there is no pain. So many doctors I visited but all doctors says everything is fine there is nothing x-ray also done. I am not able to chew both side, right side wisdom surgery done left side while chewing suddenly I stop eating like stone in food. Please guide me what should I do?

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Noida
I think you might have problem on both side, during surgery of wisdom tooth if roots of second molar and wisdom crown are very close, trauma can hamper blood supply of second molar (adjacent tooth), pulp of this tooth can become dead (goes undetectable in x ray, vitality of tooth needs to be checked) and that can cause pain, sensitivity to hot can be a prominent feature. On right side you might have some problem which needs to be checked. If everything is fine then biting pattern of teeth are to be checked, as this can also cause problem while chewing.

Why my teeth come out in powder form in the early mornings. Is this calcium deciffiancy?

Why my teeth come out in powder form in the early mornings. Is this calcium deciffiancy?
May be due to calcium deficiency or loss of enamel in your teeth. If enamel is lost also, your teeth becomes brittle. Treatment for such brittle teeth is capping which will be stronger than your normal teeth.

MDS - Periodontics, Certified Implantologist, BDS

Hi thanks for the query as per your words regarding bleeding gums and smell these are signs of gum disease either gingivitis or periodontitis(pyorrhea) if it's gingivitis you need to undergo scaling(cleaning of teeth) and root planing if it's periodontitis than you need to undergo flap procedure for longevity of your teeth visit a periodontist (gum specialist dentist) he can guide you better in this.

Sir meri maa ke daad ko insect ne puri kha li hai ab keval thori thori nukili keel si dikhai de rahi hai jisase maa ka teeth me last three days se jor se dard ho raha hai but maa ko diabiteez hai so please tell me what should I do.

Diabetes is not a concern in the treatment of cavities.. 6- Cavity Having cavities is not a serious problem at all. Cavities which are not too deep can be excavated and be restored by a dental cement. Cavities that are very deep can be cured by root canal treatment followed by crown ( cap ). For better prevention of cavities , 1- Follow proper brushing technique. 2- Brush twice a day 3-clean your teeth immediately every time after you eat fiid or liquids. 4- Undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth) at the interval of every 5-6 months. 5- Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases. Dear anoop ulcer is a painful condition .before treatment you must know the reason of the disease and than treatment can proceed . Avoid eating spicy, oily foods and hot beverages. Include fresh fruits containing vitamin C and raw vegetables as part of your diet. Avoid eating candy, chewing gum and aerated drinks. Avoid eating hard foods, Include fresh yogurt, buttermilk, cottage cheese and other dairy products in your diet. Maintain good oral hygiene. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush when brushing your teeth. gargle your mouth alternating with hot and chilled water or apply ice on the part where you have the ulcer. That will reduce the swelling. Chew a few basil or tulsi leaves along with some water for about three to four times every day. This will help the ulcers go away faster. Apply little honey onto the mouth ulcer or mix in a little turmeric to make a paste that can be applied to the affected area. Honey helps to retain moisture and prevent dehydration. It also helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. Reduce your stress levels by doing an activity that you find relaxing, such as yoga, meditation or exercise. Use a saline rinse Mix a teaspoon or two of salt with a warm glass of water. You can also substitute salt with a pinch of baking soda. Hold the saline solution in your mouth, and swish from side to side. Gargle and spit the solution into the sink. Repeat a few times a day. It's a good idea to do it again after meals and before you go to bed. apply glycerine on ulcers and use ointment benzocaine in case of pain .

Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent toothpaste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

I hv teeth problem there are some more pain. I have also stomach pain during urine discharge.
The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.
