Whiteness between gum and internal side of cheek. No response after use of B- complex tablets.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Mouth guard to prevent biting of inner cheek, Bite correction and jaw alignment, chlorhexidine mouthwash to reduce swelling and whiteness as well as pain as well as tea tree oil mouthwashes. Dabbing vanilla extract on the affected site, Rinse your mouth with a mixture of ½ teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in a cup of water or cool chamomile tea, Put aspirin on the infected area and if you have any aching pain, try taking ibuprofen.

Hello lybrate-user The medicine proscribed to you by your doctor is sufficient. I hope you have completely stopped the substance abuse of gutka or any other thing which caused fibrosis. If you don't get relief soon then Surgricals option can be considered.

I have just done with my wisdom tooth extraction third molar upper left side, it was a surgery extraction. What would be the advises post surgery? Thank you in advance 😀

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, do consult your dentist who performed surgery, but general instructions are as follows: the following will help speed recovery: take painkillers as prescribed by your dentist or oral surgeon. Apply an ice or cold pack to the outside of your mouth to help relieve pain and swelling. After 24 hours, rinse your mouth gently with warm salt water several times a day to reduce swelling and relieve pain. Make your own salt water by mixing 1 tsp (5 g) of salt in a medium-sized glass [8 fl oz (240 ml)] of warm water. Change gauze pads before they become soaked with blood. Relax after surgery. Physical activity may increase bleeding. Avoid smoking. Eat soft foods, such as gelatin, pudding, or a thin soup. Gradually add solid foods to your diet as healing progresses. Do not lie flat. This may prolong bleeding. Prop up your head with pillows. Avoid rubbing the area with your tongue. Do not use sucking motions, such as when using a straw to drink. Continue to carefully brush your teeth and tongue.

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist,
Can Adults wear braces too?
Braces aren't just for teenagers – it’s never too late to improve your dental health and beautify your smile. About 1 million Americans over the age of 18 wear braces. Your Orthodontist can help you determine if orthodontic treatment is the right option for you. You can also request an evaluation and receive treatment from an orthodontist, a specialist in diagnosing, preventing and correcting malocclusions.

How to get relaxed from dental problems like sensitivity, pyriya, cavity, bleeding gums?

BHMS
Homeopath, Howrah
For that good care of teeth is necessary, brush twice daily after food. Clean mouth after eating something. Vitamin c and calcium is must for healthy teeth. Take as much as sour fruits like lemon, mango, amla, tamrind, for calcium custard, dates, etc. If you have cavity go to dentist for proper care or else it will spread to other teeth.

What to do to take care of teeth which are yellowish n getting holes (cavity) between two teeth?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Kindly get an x-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab dentaforce dt 2 tablets dissolved in water. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

BDS
Dentist, Ghaziabad
Visit your nearest dentist for acute pain they will take one x ray and if advised go for root canal of the same to swelling can be because of pus accumulated rct is the best treatment plan to save the tooth but before that xray is required to check the prognosis of the treatment.

I have done rct during that my mouth is not opening widely it is about two fingers it is serious problem I am suffering from one month please give me afvice can I consukt with other dr? what should I do I am worried about that so much

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Restricted mouth opening may happen after dental treatment due to several reasons 1. Muscle spasm due to the local anaesthetic administration 2. Aggravation of a preexisting subclinical jaw joint dysfunction 3. Recurrent, spreading infection 4. Inflammation in the muscles of the jaws etc. Treatment depends upon the actual cause in each case. Please see your dentist for an evaluation. If you or the dentist or both are uncertain of the diagnosis, you may consult an oral & maxillofacial surgeon. As far as a second opinion is concerned, it is your right and prerogative and you can definitely get one. Most times, though, the problem can be sorted out. So do not worry. See your dentist first. They might actually be able to direct you to an appropriate specialist as necessary.

Gums bleeding is due to infection in gums. Get scalling done by dentist. Take vit c tab for one week. Use proper brushing techniques. Brush, floss n use mouthwash twice daily. Massage your gums with your finger tips after brushing. Keep your tongue clean. Rinse your mouth well after each meal. Visit your dentist for dental checkups every 6 months to detect n prevent dental probs.
