My teeth are yellow in colour. And also some black spots. What I have to do to remove yellowish on my teeth?

My teeth are yellow in colour. And also some black spots. What I have to do to remove yellowish on my teeth?
Hi lybrate-user. Yellowish teeth with black spots can be because of two reasons. Because I hav not seen your case clinically, I will tell you treatment for both. 1. First it may be because of deposits and stains on your teeth. Treatment for this is scaling. Very normal procedure for cleaning your teeth and gums. 2. Second, you might be suffering from dental fluorosis. For this you need to visit a good dentist and get the treatment procedure to get a beautiful white smile. Thank you.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

I am a male, 35 years of age and married with 1 daughter of 4 years young. From my marriage days, my wife telling me that I have bad breadth and my mouth is having some problems. I consulted the doctor and I am brushing both day and night and also using the mouthwash. But still the problem persists. Pl help me to resolve my problem.

Dear bad Odour from mouth is a very common problem. Although it can have various local as well as systemic causes, the most common cause of the problem is poor oral hygiene. It seems you already brush twice daily and also use mouth wash. However how often do you clean your tongue? unclean tongue is a very frequent source of bad breath. You can either use your brush or the tongue cleaner to properly clean your tongue after meals. In addition I will suggest you to start using dental floss at least once daily. Dietary & lifestyle modification like avoiding odorous food like onion, garlic, smoking (if you smoke) can also help. Don't let your mouth dry, sip water intermittently. I am sure you will get over the problem. Sometimes other diseases like infection of respiratory tract (sinusitis) or digestive system disturbances can also be the culprit but think about these only if you don't get relief by following the above suggested steps. Regards.

Sir, it depends on how big the gap is. Very small gaps can be closed with cement. They may cost at least up to 500. But the cost varies from clinic to clinic and the material they use. But closing the gap may require braces on the teeth for time periods varying from 6 months to one and a half years. And the cost will again depend on the doctor and the type of treatment.

Wen I shake my teeth they feel shake. Could you suggest me some ways on how I can keep my teeth strong.

Wen I shake my teeth they feel shake. Could you suggest me some ways on how I can keep my teeth strong.
There are many causes of yellow or discolored teeth. A few of the most common: 1.Drinks: Coffee and red wine cause major damage to teeth.. But other drinks with high acidity, such as soda, juices and even sports drinks can cause staining on the teeth. Even white wine is not far behind in staining our teeth yellow, because its tannins and acidic nature wear away at the tooth enamel. These Acidic drinks lowers the Ph of teeth below 6 thus causing corrosive wear and tear of teeths. 2.Certain Foods: Colored candies, popsicles and other bright foods can cause staining over time. Think of it this way – if your tongue turns a bright shade of blue, chances are your teeth are getting some of that discoloration, too. Even healthy foods such as berries (blueberries, cranberries, raspberries) can stain teeth. Ketchup, curry and other sauces can cause staining problems over time, too. 3,Natural Aging Process: Quite simply, teeth yellow over time. It’s a natural part of the aging process that the white protective coatings wear down over time. So the longer you have your teeth, the more likely they are to become yellow or discolored. 4.Most of us are guilty of at least some of the above (and none of us can stop time). But the good news is that even if red wine is one of your vices and your teeth look yellower lately, there are things you can do to bring back the white. 5.How to make Teeth white (a)Avoid Certain Foods/Drinks When Possible: We’re not asking you to give up your morning coffee, just to reduce the intake of the above foods as much as possible. Sometimes simply being aware can help us make better choices. (b)Drink Water: After you’ve consumed a tooth-staining food or drink try to immediately follow it with a glass of water. Swirling water around your mouth can drastically help clear away the acids or staining. This simple step is free and easy, and can drastically help reduce tooth discoloration. (c)Proper Dental Hygiene: Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental checkups help keep teeth healthy for a lifetime. Develop these habits early and you’re less likely to have dental problems down the line. (d)Teeth Whitening: The good news is that there are many options available to whiten teeth. Some can be done at home while others can take help of Homoeopathic medicines. Homoeopathic medicine HEKLA LAVA TOOTH POWDER ( WHEEZAL) Scrub teeth daily night RINSEOUT ( SBL) Gargles 20 drops in 20 ml luke warm water.Gargles 3 times daily while holding water for 20 seconds in mouth esp.after meals.

Bleeding gums can be a sign of early gum disease. You need to get a professional cleaning of your teeth done to remove any accumulated tartar. This should solve your problem. After that regular day to day care like twice a day brushing and vigorous rinsing after any food will keep your gums and teeth healthy.

How can I cure the problem of mouth's bad smell and pyria and what medicine should I follow?

BDS
Dentist, Lucknow
How can I cure the problem of mouth's bad smell and pyria and what medicine should I follow?
Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor dental health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of foods you eat and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. Basically, all the food eaten begins to be broken down in your mouth. As foods are digested and absorbed into the bloodstream, they are eventually carried to your lungs and given off in your breath. If you eat foods with strong odors (such as garlic or onions), brushing and flossing -- even mouthwash -- merely covers up the odor temporarily. The odor will not go away completely until the foods have passed through your body. Practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Brush teeth after you eat (keep a toothbrush at work or school to brush after lunch). Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. Rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash twice a day. Dentures should be removed at night and cleaned thoroughly before being placed in your mouth the next morning. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. Stop smoking and chewing tobacco-based products. Ask your dentist for tips on kicking the habit. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) or sucking on candy (preferably sugarless)
