Dear lybrate user, first of all let me make it clear that you may experience nightfalls for twice in a month if you do not have a habit of masturbation or if you do not indulge in any sexual intercourse. However, if you experience nightfalls for more than twice in a month then it is surely abnormal. Every person experience an erection after a sleep of 6-8 hours. Such an erection during waking up from sleep is a typical characteristic of normal sexual system. An uninterrupted sleep of 6-8 hours pacifies the nerves which get hyper-activated after a long day's work & results in a sexual arousal by channelising the blood flow towards the male sexual system. But an erected penis cannot ejaculate involuntarily unless it is being rubbed as it undergoes during masturbation & sexual intercourse. Involuntary ejaculation of semen indicates that the internal muscles of your pelvic region are not strong enough to control the outflow of semen. However, nightfalls indicate that you are having a normal erection as well as it also proves that there is no deficit of sperm production in testis. Nightfall implies that there is only loss of control of the pelvic muscles. It is often observed that an unmarried person suffering from nightfalls complains of premature ejaculation after marriage if his problem of nightfalls is left untreated. The cause behind such quick discharge during sex is same as it is in case of nightfalls i. E. Loss of the control of the muscles of pelvic region. To get rid of nightfalls carry on the following medication as directed:- 1) soak 5 grams of fennel seeds (snouff) & 5 grams of rock candy (misri) in a glass of water before going to bed daily. On waking up next morning take 4 pills from ayurvedic swapnadoshari bati & swallow the pills with the snouf-misri soaked water. 2) take 30 drops of homoeopathic mother tincture ashwagandha q in a cup of water daily after lunch. 3) mix 4 pills of unani jiriyani with 1 tablespoon of unani majun arad khurma & take the mixture daily after dinner. Apart from the aforesaid medication you need to take additional care if you have a tendency to suffer from any type of digestive problem.

I am a diabetes patient. My PP is 410. I am suffering from cough and cold. Can anybody suggest a medicine for me.

I am a diabetes patient. My PP is 410. I am suffering from cough and cold. Can anybody suggest a medicine for me.
Mr. Lybrate-user, your cough can be easily managed with some specific antibiotics and cough syrup, but most important is to control diabetes effectively, because 410 mg blood glucose is one of the main reasons for inviting infections and aggravating those. Plus at such a young age it absolutely essential for you achieve a very strict glucose control. Fasting should be around 100 mg and pp 150 to 160 mg/100 ml. Hba1c%<6.8. So please take care of that. It may be necessary to upgrade current treatment, with some additional drugs. It will be good if you come with all the details as mentioned above plus dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise. Thanks.

Avoid using medications.. 1. avoid caffeine found in coffee, tea , chocolate, cola, and some pain relievers.[four to six hours before bedtime.] 2. quiet, dark, and cool environment can help promote sound sleep. . [Use heavy curtains, or an eye mask to block light, and also keeping computers, TVs, and other work materials out of the room will help promote mental bonding between your bedroom and sleep] 3. Avoid stressful, stimulating activities like doing work, discussing emotional issues. Physically and psychologically stressful activities can cause the body to secrete the stress hormone cortisol, which is associated with increasing alertness.

What is different between baking soda and baking powder So please explain it Or both are same If I use baking powder instead of baking soda.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
What is different between baking soda and baking powder So please explain it Or both are same If I use baking powder ...
Baking powder contains baking soda. It is a mixture of baking soda, cream of tartar (a dry acid), and sometimes cornstarch. These days, most baking powder sold is double acting. This means that the first leavening occurs when baking powder gets wet– like when you combine the dry and wet ingredients in the recipe. If you have a baking recipe that calls for baking soda, and you only have baking powder, you may be able to substitute, but you will need 2 or 3 times as much baking powder for the same amount of baking soda to get the same amount of leavening power, and you may end up with something that’s a little bitter tasting, depending on the recipe.

Dear Doctor, My Head feels a bit heavy after getting up in morning. Is it natural.

BHMS
Homeopath, Secunderabad
Dear Doctor,
My Head feels a bit heavy after getting up in morning. Is it natural.
One should feel well rested in the morning ( that means you had enough sleep ). So its better that you go for a medical check up . One has to rule out whether you have Hypertension or any other problem before deciding that its normal. Make it a point to lead a healthy life-style so that you can enjoy good health through out the year.
