Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

Hello, Take smaller 5-6 meals a day. Avoid junk food, heavy and starchy food. Include green salad, fruit chaat and green vegetables in your diet. if you like eggs, take only egg white. Swimming and gym both are good for body exercise.

Obesity is one of the most common lifestyle diseases in the world today. It affects men and women of all ages and nationalities. A bad lifestyle is the most common cause for obesity. Obesity on its own can affect your lifestyle and it can also lead to a number of other and more serious health issues like high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension and arthritis.

Therefore, obesity is not a disease to be taken lightly or ignored. Since a bad lifestyle is the root cause for obesity, changing your lifestyle is the easiest way to treat obesity. Take a look at these Ayurvedic tips on how to treat obesity.

Ayurvedic herbs used to prevent obesity

Most ayurvedic medicines are based on herbs and plant extracts. Some of these are very effective when it comes to fighting obesity. Some of these herbs are:

  1. Guduchi: This helps in the proper canalization of fats in the body and hence aids in the fight against obesity.

  2. Guggulu: This reduces the accumulation of fat in the body and gives the body a leaner appearance.

  3. Yava and Amalaka: Yava and amalaka powder helps reduce fat in the body.

  4. Surya Namaskar: This is a full body workout that includes over 200 asanas. It impacts all the internal organs, purifies the blood and enhances the functioning of the stomach and bowels.

Ayurveda has no side effects and thus, is a highly recommended form of treatment for obesity. However, the results may take time to be noticeable so it is very important to be patient.

Hi there could be many reasons for weight gain. When you gain weight then obviously several other problems arises. To lose weight we need to focus upon some basic food plan like cutting down on grains and sugar. This helps immediately. We should avoid processed food. The healthy weight loss diet should contain ample amount of vegetable with sufficient protein. Taking some dietary supplements helps in weight loss as well. Sample diet plan breakfast - russian salad with boiled eggs. Lunch - cooked vegetable + 1 chapatti +salad +curd. Dinner - paneer tikka with green chutney. Snacks - dry fruits and nuts with green tea. Proper diet and regular exercise will help you to reduce fat.Do exercise like swimming,skipping,push ups,sit ups,squat,plank,yoga.No sugar,sweetened juice,fruit juice,soft drinks.Avoid fast foods.junk foods,processed foods.Take more watery vegetables.Use whole fruit.Take unrefined foods.Eat more protein for weight loss.Use healthy fat.Drink lukewarm water after meals.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Take proper rest.

Hello doctors, I am trying to conceive. Goin thru the treatment of clomid and injectable as I am having PCOS and Thyroid. Having 2 failed cycles and now I am on 3rd cycle and ovulated naturally too. I am 10 dpo. I want to reduce my weight but nothing help me alot. I am 83kg and 5'3 tall. I am having two questions- 1) can I take 3-4 cups of green and ginger tea (mixed together) after ovulation has occurred? 2) can I use herbalife products like shakes for reducing weight? These products do help in loosing weight but I want to know if taking herbalife can cause some problems with conceiving?

Hello, the ideal of weight reduction is to allow ovulation on time, if you have been undergoing ovulation induction protocol with clomid then I feel natural methods of weight reduction like healthy foods, exercise, plenty of water and avoidance of fast foods is the key rather than herbal life products or fancy teas.

There is no other way of reducing weight except by consuming less calories. 2) deep fried, processed foods, pickles, papads, pastries, biscuits, nuts, chocolates, ice creams, deserts should be completely avoided. 3) during business meetings go for plain rice with thin dals and lots of salads. 4) dinner should be taken as early as possible 5) simple sugars, nuts, dry fruits (except almonds and walnuts) should be restricted. 6) small frequent meals (containing high fibre, low fat, moderate to low carbohydrates, moderate proteins, normal vitamins and minerals) with regular exercise is beneficial. 7) begin your meal with a big bowl of salad or soups. 8) drink plenty of water. 9) do not skip meals 10) prefer roasted /grilled /steamed/boiled food items. 11) tea consumption should be reduced. Replace tea with organic green tea. Do not have tea along with any meal. 12) consumption of full cream milk will increase fat percentage so skimmed milk is a good option. Have 2 cups of ecovalley green tea daily (without sugar, it helps reduce fat & weight.

Hi, Medication:-1. Tab Obesidat -1 tab twice a day before food. 2. Triphala juice-10 ml with warm water daily before food twice a day Tips:- 1.No salt intake after 7: 30 pm 2.No aerated drinks. Even Liquor too. 3.Restrict mango and banana. 4.Restrict potato and rice. 5.No artificial juices. 6.Half an hour aerobic exercise daily. Joining a gym for workout will be a better option. 7.20 mins of breathing exercise (pranayam). 8.Avoid Rajmah, Channa, Peas, Mushroom, Gobi, Pumpkin, Leafy vegetables, Capsicum, Paneer, Cheese, Curd, Non Veg, Maida related items (like Bread, bun, pizza, burger etc), Deep fried and spicy food, Sweets, Sugar, carbohydrate rich fruits like apple, Sapota, Banana etc. 9.Avoid rice intake in the morning and strictly in the night. 10. Avoid intake of refrigerated food in the morning, prepared previous night. 11. Intake of food should be on time without skipping even a single meal. 12. Maintain min two hours of gap between dinner intake and sleep. 13. Consume minimum eight glasses of water a day. 14.“Early to bed and early to rise” should be strictly followed. Sleeping Late night should be strictly avoided. 15. Have fruits only in the noon time. Avoid fruits consumption in the night (occasionally can be taken before dinner). 16. Stop intake of milk during bed time. 17. Bathing should be before food intake only. 18. Tea, milk intake should be twice a day preferably morning and evening. Coffee intake should be strictly avoided.

Hi firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

Drink 2 to 3 liters of water a day. Eat balanced diet. Maintain the posture of sitting straight all the time. Avoid carbonated and sweetened beverages. Fish can be added in the diet. Red meat should be avoided. A flesh portion of chicken should be avoided. Use skimmed milk. Meals should not be skipped. Do exercise for at least 45 minutes a day. Go for a walk at least 1 hour a day. To remove belly fat, more abdominal exercises. Should be done.

Hi that's right as per your height you are overweight and there are specific actions needed for weight loss since the margin to work on is quite a lot. 1. Make your self more active - walk whenever possible/ use staircase / walk & talk 2. Eat small frequent meals 3. Limit processed foods like wafers, biscuits, cakes etc 4. Limit fat intake 5. Add 4 - 5 portions of veggies & fruits for each day 6. Drink lots of water - around 10 - 12 glasses of water/day for more detailed dietary help consult me privately.

1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. 4. If you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. 5. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 6. Do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 7. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water.

Do health check ups. Eat small amount of food. Do not skip meals. Avoid fast foods, junk foods. Drink water specially before meals. Use watery vegetables, whole fruits. Take extra fish, egg white, lean meat to reduce fat. Use lukewarm water after meals. Avoid smoking, alcohol. Drink water 3 lit/day. Take proper rest.

There is nothing special to be done. Eat right,(half of your food should be fruits and vegetables.) you can go for brisk walk for 20 mins daily. Please get regular check up from your doctor.
