We prescribe both raw and boiled food depending on patients condition For an healthy individual cucumber, carrot etc if goes raw is non harmful, raw sprouts are also beneficial.

Hey I am 24 year's old, I want to get rid from my belly fat. From being long time active in physical activity still I am not able to reduce belly fat. I had done lots of physical exercises, i.e. Cardio, weights training etc. But still belly part fat is as it is. From around 2-3 year I am regularly taking luke warm lemon juice with honey at morning time, empty stomach. So please suggest me some supplement to get rid of this problem by this my whole body looks very bad. Please do not take any medicines by yourself The most important aspect of any weight loss routine is diet. Even if you workout for several hours in a day, but have a bad diet, it will hamper your results. You need to include clean foods in your diet that contain lean protein, essential fatty acid as well as complex carbohydrates. Lean sources of protein include chicken, egg whites, whey and legumes. You should consume at least one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight for maintaining muscle mass, when losing weight. Complex carbohydrates are excellent for weight loss as they provide you with energy slowly. Complex carbohydrates are present in foods such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Consuming essential fatty acids may prove effective in enabling you to lose weight from your stomach. This is due to the fact that they help in promoting weight loss, contrary to saturated fats. Weight reduction: regular yoga practices and exercise are vitally important, especially for seniors and long standing obese. But only these two will not lead to weight loss until cut back on sugars and carbohydrates and weight reducing specific diet and herbal supplements. Sugar should be restricted to only five tea spoon=25 gm daily intake and carbohydrates are to be in complex form. For further assistance you can concern me privately.

Hello. You can come over it very easily due to your determination. Make sure you are walking at least 5000 steps every day. It is strongly recommended that you start with a jogging regime. You should avoid late night dinners at any cost and make sure you are following a routine while having 3 main course foods of the day. Try having your dinner before sunset (6: 00pm) and not eat anything heavy after sunset. Avoid processed food, sugar and its products as well as refined oil. In the morning start consuming lukewarm water right after you wake up in sukhasaan (chaukdi) it is advisable to even do rinsing with the lukewarm water in your mouth. Thanks:)

There are no health benefits of smoking. Smoking causes lung and oral cancer as well as interstitial lung disease. It affects peripheral blood vessels adversely and can cause respiratory and circulatory issues. It is advisable to quit immediately. Consult a psychiatrist with experience in deaddiction. With the right medication and counseling it is likely that you will be able to quit smoking successfully.

You have to make effort to lose wt gradually over a period of time. This reduction will be more permanent. *Take protein rich food --- seeds, pulses, nuts, Also fruits, vegetables, greens and reduce cereals. *Green tea is also good. *Take lemon juice and honey in warm water in the early morning, empty stomach. *Avoid sweets, fried foods, processed food and junk food. A * Maintain food timings * Don’t miss breakfast. *Avoid heavy dinners and late night meals. *Avoid stimulants, aerated drinks sweetish juices, etc. And maintain good food habits. * Drink lots of water and keep hydrated. Avoid sugary soft drinks * Have adequate, timely, good night sleep *Even with desk job, you can spend morning and evening time for work out *Have vigorous physical exercise to improve absorption and blood circulation. Games like basketball, volley ball and stretch exercises like pull ups, cycling will be helpful. Obesity- Check whether you have thyroid and such ailments causing weight increase.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Fasting glucose 143 mg means there is diabetes. Even cholesterol is also high. What about other lipids like LDL, TGL and HDL cholesterol? Also check after food glucose and HbA1c%, that will give a clear idea about diabetes. But it appears that you have T2 DM and dyslipidemia. Both need to be treated with appropriate drugs, diet and exercise which you are already doing. For specific treatment advice you will have to come in a private conversation, then only I will be able to prescribe necessary drugs. Hi lybrate-user here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. If the weight gain has increased drastically without making any evident change in food and other physical activities. I recommended you to get your thyroid levels checked. Still for basic weight loss to be achieved maintains a balanced diet of not more than 1500 calories per day. 1. Refined sugars in coffee and tea should be completely stopped, shift to multigrain chapatti instead of only wheat based and have more complex crabs in your snacks time like roasted grain and salads. 2.2serving of fruits should be included but keep the serving size maximum to 1 at one time. 3. Include 1-2 portions of proteins in form of tofu, paneer, sprouts and oat meals daily in the evening time to manage the intake of carbohydrates after 7: 30 pm. 4. Maintain a good balanced of carbohydrates, fats and protein to the ratio and include a cardio session of 45 mins daily for at least 5 days a week to maintain a good health overall.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.
